The intro and also ending music are both incredible. (I wish someone could do a proper remix of it ....) Agreed, the "circus music" doesn't do it for me either!
I remember playing this game on my Amiga 500 as a kid back in the early 1990's. It was absolutely a brilliant movie tie-in. I also had it on my Commodore 64 in the mid 2010's. Jonathan Dunn composed an excellent music 😺👍🕹️. By the way, merry retrospective christmas ☃️🎁🎄 and a happy new retrospective year 2023! Seasons greetings from Vantaa, Finland 🇫🇮. 😺👍🕹️
I was a huge fan of this game when I was young (it was on Amiga). I played it again recently, and it's still solid from my point of view. A lot of fun and not so difficult (no need to restart everything from the first level when you are at chapter 3 or 4).
I found it somewhat irritating and very difficult playing The Untouchables, but I loved the visuals and great music. I've never seen those amazing intermission screens before when playing, kept saying 'wow' each time.
The into song created tension and the music for the rest of the game was just circus music. Wtf 😭
The music is a Ragtime piece written by Scott Joplin around the turn of the 20th century (maybe 1910) about 20 years out of date for Prohibition.

The first stage music is so cool.
Indeed. Here's the original by Scott Joplin

Favourite level: The railway station. Favourite music: Ending. (Intro is also very good.)
You Are Elliot Ness.
