I have to say, this is PERFECT and everything a film location video should be. You get to the point but there's still some humour... You show us the locations now, then as they appear in the film, followed by another modern shot so we can really appreciate it. Congrats! I've seen some very self indulgent versions of these kind of videos with more talking than actual locations so thank you pal... great stuff
This is one of my all time favourite movies. Always brings back memories from Christmas when younger, as every year I would watch Home Alone with out fail. Watching your video brings so much back.
@@its_galaxy2445 It's pretty dark it looked like no one was home and funnily enough there was a plumbing van a few houses down I kid you not, Aqua was the name of the company I believe. I wouldn't knock because looking at the house on google maps I saw that the owners blurred it so not a good indication lol.
I'm very late to the "party" of this video but far and away it is the BEST Home Alone filming locations on TH-cam. Thank you so much for putting such effort in it's complete look back. Brings so many memories of growing up watching Home Alone repeatedly at Christmas.
Thank you for this amazing video! Love it! Best Christmas film ever! So nostalgic! I was born in 1984, was 6 years old when the film came out. Now I have two kids of my own and they love it also)
This was really awesome!!! I appreciate your efforts in the making of this great video! There’s something about seeing the exact spots of the locations versus during the filming of the movie that intrigues me so much. You nailed it!!
I think that you do a really good job here matching the film scenes with the real scenes. Great that you managed to get access to the house back yard as well - they must get totally sick with that. Keep up the good work.
I wanna cry 😭😭 of joy of course, this is one of my favorite movies of all time, I rewatch it every year and I can't wait for the Christmas season to come, I'm so excited! Thank you for this video, it meant a lot ❤
Thanks for making this I can’t believe that they bricked off the back of that house AND dug a hole to make those steps to nowhere. Never would imagined.
That’s pretty awesome you got to experience this. Anyone who was born in the 80s or 90s this is always a favorite. And it’s one of my favorite movies thanks for sharing this👍🏼😎
My whole childhood was this movie, it would be so amazing to see this in person ! My dream is to see this house from inside just for a minute. My christmas memory is this movie and its soundtrack. Year for year again ❤❤❤
Nice tour, dude. Those locations are so cozy and iconic. I've watched this movie every Christmas since I was 6 and will continue to do so until my last.
Very nice. I love Home Alone. Been to the Home Alone house twice. came from Sydney Australia! Then drove down to see my Packers play! I've also been to the Swimming Pool from Home Alone 2, which is in the four seasons hotel in Chicago. Only found out because we were talking about going to the Home alone House when we stayed at The Fours season. and they told my wife and I about it :)
I am 26 and just watched this movie for the first time! I loved it. I was a skeptic as to whether or not the neighbourhoods were real or “staged”. Cool to know they’re real
When I first saw Home Alone, I was like, "why does this house look so familiar?" Turns out, I lived in the neighboring subdivision and I drove past the house all the time.
Me n my sister loved this movie growin up on Christmas break watchin it on the floor in front of the pellet stove while our parents laid on the couch, with the Christmas tree and decorations up!!
Ahh man I loved this thanks team. My all time favourite Christmas movie, 7 months younger than Macaulay this movie was my life when it came out and for so many years after, so many great memories. I am hoping to take a trip to Winnetka myself some day. Awesome!
I am watching this video from Azerbaijan. It is really a very interesting film. This film is shown in our country every New Year's Eve. I also love this movie. Every time I watch this movie, I see that the United States is very beautiful. Even in 90 years. You should be very happy to live in the United States.
I had to give a thumbs up for showing me the snow. It's absolutely beautiful, something I haven't seen in 19 years. And thanks for the awesome crawl, too.
Found this video Dec 14th 22, perfect timing for Christmas 🎄! I laughed good & hard several times throughout the video! Great job by you and your cousin! Spot on work!
very very nostalgic for me! I can't get my mind out of those 90's thoughts because nothing in 2020 is like it was before. Pure people! No inflation! No coronavirus! No Lockdown!
@@vesnastankovic5607 The world was never fucked up so badly like it is now. During previous wars, some nations were suffering but others were at peace. But now everyone is getting kicked on their butts whether they are at fault or innocent.
John Hughes, who wrote the script for Home Alone and also wrote Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and The Breakfast Club, filmed parts of them at Glenbrook North High School where my mom went to high school. The famous ending to The Breakfast Club on the football field, is my mom’s high school football field. When Ferris drives up to school and you see the outside of the auditorium, that was just newly built to Glenbrook North and my mom’s class was the first to graduate in it. :)
Am I the only one who prefers movies that are actually shot on location like this? As opposed to all this cgi and green screen stuff. Anyway super cool video!
This is awesome, I can't help feel it's a double edged sword with the McCallister house, being made famous by the films, but with the amount of fans that continuously daily visit, stand outside taking photo's, must have an affect on the house ever being sold.

Imagine the house decorated just like in the movie and available on Airbnb... Many of us would want to spend a few winter nights there !
Saddly they had to change it because it was out dated and old and wanted a new change I though the same thing till my mom told me
I think it’s on Airbnb idk I saw an article
Also could be that the interior was a stage set and not the actual house interior

Is it dark inside the house?
