The train you see in the movie consist of Pullman Gallery cars manufactured in the 1950s and 1960s. Chicago Metra was still using these old gallery cars up until about 2020.
Oh, I was only using my iPhone 13 Pro Max at the time. I shot this in March of ‘22, so it had to be the 13 at the time. I just used the Cinematic mode in some shots which creates that blurred background for everything behind the subject that’s in focus.
Security has tightened after 9/11, so you can't just run through the gate at the last minute to catch your flight like the McCallister's did. Also, the airport was actually opened during the filming. The scenes in Paris were actually at the O'hare airport
We just got back from a family trip to Chicago and went to see the McCallister house and the exterior of the church. We noticed at the church that the nativity scene not only provided a plot line for him hiding but also covered the sign up. It was neat to watch that scene on our phone and say “that gnarly tree is still there!”
No clue, good explanation of both but I’d say the first tree also. The same as you, I’m a 90s kid and the house is iconic. The second movie was the best though🗽
But the first one setup the second. I think of old man Marley was in 2 it would've been better. Both are great though. I watch Christmas Movies all year long. I have weeks of Christmas movies. From cartoons to what,40s 50s. I haven't done television in years. I buy series of the shows on Blu-Ray and dvd.
22:26 That windows is located further back, above the back door. You can see it in the movie at around 00:55 when Marv runs away after hearing gun fire.
The interiors of the house, as you know, were built in the gymnasium at Winettka High School...my guess is they built a ficade for the actors to look out the window on the set in the school gym. Building a ficade, they would have likely built it bigger than scale for the purpose of effect and making it easier for the actors to perform the scene. It's also likely that the actors would not be in the actual house to perform that
@@joeymac3777 oh yes, absolutely. But it’s always fun to find the real life comparison and just imagine that it happened there. I get consumed in these stories and treat them as if they really happened sometimes. Makes it more fun.

Who really cares about what life is now from what it was like back then

I liked 2sc better and if someone says it was way more violent - i think it was way more cartoony with sounds, Marv turning into a skeleton etc !

Cool you found all these places in Home Alone.
AMAZING VÍDEO
Note that the exterior church and interior church are 2 different churches
Yes, I got to the interior this summer and will be uploading that video here in the coming weekend for the holiday season.

I wonder if that's the "transformer" that blew across crib the house.
Oak Park? Is that the same Oak Park where George Mcfly was buried in Oak Park cemetery in BTTF 2 ? !
The tree shot is the second tree the shot was filmed then flipped Kevin was walking direction from his house
You forgot to go the place where Kevin went to see Santa

@@AdamWasHereI'm the say way and that's bad.😂😂
I wish we had airport security in the 90s. But, it all changed due to 9/11.
I honestly don't think it's either tree. Am i wrong?
Cómo se llama está Ciudad donde se rodo la película .
Winnetka
@@Dermatrans Muchas gracias .
The pizza delivery boy always knocking down the statue in front of the house.
Later, in the movie he breaks the bottom part (the feet)
I will never buy a house, that was in a movie. I like privacy too much
Makes sense why they were muzzled at the airport and in shores dueing the illegal mandates
