    Bryan I like what your doing with the craftsman and metabo tools. You’re the only big name channel I’m subscribed to that actually gives them a chance. I’d absolutely run this after seeing the abuse it just took.

    I’ve been using the v20 grinder almost everyday for 2 years now the $50 brushed model. Still works good. I cut and smooth a lot of metal on classic cars

    Nice review as always. That grinder looks good--identical to the old V20 brushless grinder and a red version of the DeWalt XR (without PD/FA). I still get by OK with my Dewalt brushed 20v grinder with big batteries for quick jobs or with my corded tools for longer and heavier tasks. And while the V20 grinder is tempting, I'd probably go for a 36v Metabo HPT grinder first, unless the V20 was on an absurd sale.

    I don't run my DeWalt angle or die grinders with anything less than an 8AH 21700 cell pack. Sure it's heavy, but I'm looking to get the job done as quickly as possible.

    I'll tell you what that 2ah craftsman battery is good for running out of juice in no time. it is more compact and lightweight but I'd rather carry around a 4ah it last more than twice as long. I use these 2 different ah batteries weekly on the craftsman stick vac. I'd really like to try the other larger ah batteries and see what kind of working time I get.

    I just bought the $50 brushed V20 Craftsman grinder a few weeks ago and while I've been happy with it, I wish it had a paddle trigger like this one. Vent positioning is much better on it, I'm surprised they changed that with the new RP model

    Great reviews. Appreciate all of your hard work. I've landed on these Craftsman 20v tools. There are enough battery sales at Lowes to make it work. You mentioned that half of these are good and half not. Do you have a list? I'm restricting myself to the RP modes and/or brushless.

    You rarely need a wrench, but I love the on board storage. I wish dewalt had a spot for the Allen key for the rare instance I get a stuck wheel.

    Try their new brushless oscillating tool it's pretty damm good and brushless recip saw I got both for 99 dollars each both came with a charger and 4amp battery free ,they always have good deals at Lowe's I'm pretty happy with the craftsman stuff are they professional quality I think so they seem to be dewalt in red with little differences but they always cost less ,I got the mid torque for 45 dollars I already have the dewalt mid torque but I couldn't beat the price so the craftsman stays in my car I tested both and I'll tell you the craftsman might be a smidge more powerful

    I can tell that your channel is in a box as well. TH-cam doesn't put your videos on my home page at all. I need to go to your channel to see your videos. hang in there bro. I've been trying to get out of the box but nothing I do is working

      yooo crazy you mentioned this,, ive noticed like the past month my home page n related vids have gone downhill crazy as far as the variety in channels it shows... like if im watching vids on the ryobi hp recips, the related vids will all be vids from like vcg where hes just trashin em, or a vid about makita saws from him, n like 2 vids w ryobi saws from like 12 years ago.... but it wont show me ur new vid demoing it that u had released the same day...
      tbh i thought ur channel got the boot or sumn but then seen u said u had taken a break,, but still i need to hunt down ur vids, WSA vids, STR vids n so on.. i pnly get like 3 diff channels n i kinda hate em all lol
      but whats up ? you piss off the TH-cam gods or sumn??

    To me it look like the DeWalt. I have the flexvolt advantage and with a 6ah flex it has unbelievable power for it's size.

    Hmmm... Craftsman grinder kit or M18 grinder when I already have M18 6.0HO batteries...

    • @luisinhoens90
      @luisinhoens90 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Used to have the brushed M18 grinder and it's OK for light duty but a bit underpowered if cutting 1/2" rod or thick sheetmetal. And it gets through batteries quite fast. I replaced it with the 2880-20 M18 Fuel with paddle switch and it's a night/day difference.
      So if you get an angle grinder just make sure you go Brushless for best RPMs and battery life

      They're also on several pounds of drugs when it comes to thier battery line, they said they where doing all new bit still have bunch of gen5x and octane for sale and thier batteries are a mess. Imo they've been pretty much replaced by the high end ryobi stuff.

    • @ProbeGT2
      @ProbeGT2 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was a ridgid fan when home depot came in canada. Tools were good quality, lifetime warranty on batteries.
      But nowadays they look cheaper and cheaper and tool development is really slow. I'm slowly moving to milwaukee and dewalt. Batteries are not warrantied for life but they are a lot cheaper than in 2010. i'm a big fan of the flexvolt stuff.
