    I'm in the Dewalt and Craftsman line. The RP Brushless line is very nice so far. Just picked up this jigsaw and the new Router and both are fantastic. For the price and warranty you cannot go wrong! Great review keep em coming!

    I have the Dewalt XR and it's got a lot of differences from this model. I think it's a disservice to Craftsman and the new model and design when folks always say well its got dewalt in it.. there are a lot of things I like that the Craftsman model you reviewed has, including the blade change and reduced vibrations. thanks!

      I see what you are saying. The motor and trigger are pure Dewalt to me. Crisp and easy to control. I have the xr also, and I get it.

      when I saw the Craftsman I thought maybe it was 90% of the DCS 334 and DeWalt was working on a new one...

      I hear you, but it's got a whole different front and blade release than either of the dewalt. There is more visibility on the Craftsman model, the plastic molding on the body goes further down on both the dewalt models. The metal bar in front of the blade is more stubby on the dewalt as a result.

    Would like to have seen a demo using the orbital on side feature.

    I like the blade change, looks better than my dewalt XR, but only issue I have with my dewalt XR is when im making tight turns and having to back up a little the blade stays behind/sometimes kicks back. I wonder if that craftsman does not do that. great review and keep them coming

      They are. They started out so odd and very mediocre and have kicked it in gear big time.

    Never understood dust collection for a jigsaw, you don't really don't make long cuts with a jigsaw

    What’s your opinion on the RP line do you think it’s good enough for contractor everyday work or for the diy

    • @WorkshopAddict
      @WorkshopAddict  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There is no doubt contractor's could use this line. It is placed above the diy line but just below the high end contractor line. Watch next week when I go over the RP recip saw. We go from one of the best jigsaws on the market to a mediocre recip saw.

    I was under the understanding that the company that makes Dewalt does the new craftsman line-up.

    • @ns_racing
      @ns_racing ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes that is correct. Stanley Black and Decker makes both

    Other than the blade change that looks like the Dewalt XR.

    Craftsman is dewalt's twin sister. You can file the battery a little bit and if it's in the DeWalt

    • @orijimi

      Adhering to the metaphor, what does filing a twin sister enable?

    My blade would not go in all the way and will fall when cutting. I probably got a faulty tool 🫠
