    I've had that Hercules for 6 years now, and have run countless grinding discs down to the nub with it. Zero problems....heck, I'm even still on the original brushes. I will absolutely be buying another Hercules when this one finally kicks the bucket!

    Great video, I like tool rankings with a budget in mind. Most people don't need the very best version of every tool they own.

      Thanks! yep some might only use one a few times a year.

    I have the Bauer and I extremely happy with it. Never a problem and if my other grinder goes out, I'll get another Bauer. Also, it comes with a really long cord, with is becoming more rare lately.

    I grabbed the Metabo HPT when it was $40 at Lowe's.
    It's not a powerhouse but it's been great for light duty jobs.

    I haven't heard of half of these makes! Quite a spread of results though, makes your testing all worthwhile 👍👍

      Yeah a few of these are only sold in the US. I was shocked the Ryobi was at the bottom.

    They had that Hercules on clearance and ran a sale on all polishers and grinders for 30% off. I'm pretty sure it brought it down to $12 or so. Bought all 3. I have a couple of the Hercules rat tails at work and haven't had a single issue. Phenomenal video's! Thanks

      Nice, I seen that 30% and almost bought another grinder. Thanks!

    For some reason Hercules HE61S was marketed (and priced) as only 7amp. The paddle switch version HE61P is still available and rated 11amps and priced higher. Seems like they screwed up by underrating and underpricing the HE61S and had to yank it off the market-shame.. Harbor Freight has so many frkn' angle grinders for sale they can't even keep track of things themselves!

    • @Tools-Tested

      That’s very interesting, I didn’t even see the 11amp has a similar model number. I bet you are correct, I agree it’s a shame considering the performance for the $$

  • @Pro1er

    I was surprised to see the Ryobi at the bottom until I noticed that it's their least powerful angle grinder. I paid $35 for their 7.5 amp model and it's not bad, plus it's a rat tail with a trigger switch which I really like and the handle rotates 90 degrees but it looks like their prices have gone up considerably since I bought mine. because it's $69 now.

      Ryobi seems to be a per tool basis brand some of its amazing at a cheap price and some is just like why did they make this

    • @Tools-Tested

      @Pro1er yeah I expected more from it, crazy how prices have changed over the last few years.

    My father use to think which ever angle grinder which broke your wrist first was best. Basically which ever one was off balance the most had so much power it just couldn't help but move around in your hand.

    In this price class the most pressing question is probably which lasts the longest.

    • @Tools-Tested

      Yep, you can probably over push all of these shorting the life span.

    Metabo and metabo hpt are two completely different brands. Dumbest marketing decision I've ever seen but it's what they did.

    • @Tools-Tested

      Yes it drives me crazy, worst part is the rest of the world calls the HPT line Hikoki. I can only assume they thought why not use the Metabo name bc we won’t sell metabo DE in the US…..

    • @james2042

      @Tools-Tested metabo sells in the US... it was just a really stupid decision by hitatchi during a corporate separation, as they figured metabo was a known name in the US and figured it would help. HPT literally stands for Hitachi power tools. They should of just rebranded hitachi to hikoki and absolutely no one would of cared

    • @tnbspotter5360

      They should have licensed back the Hitachi name for a few years and make a slow transition to something else for continuity. Both Metabo and Hikoki have zero name recognition here.

    • @james2042

      @tnbspotter5360 hikoki is close enough in name to hitachi, that if they had on the box "hitachi is now hikoki" no one would of batted an eye.

    • @Utuber-x44

      Agree. I wish they left the Hitachi branding. Everyone knows that name and it has a good reputation.
