This was my coaching session. Bummed the title is what it is haha. My wife is absolutely amazing. Y’all would love her! We have two kids and she doesn’t “allow” 5 games a week, but 5 games seems to be what works out best during our busy weeks. Wanted to clear that up.

Was kinda cool his buddy being in call! I was a little worried about it affecting the dynamic of the coaching but when the buddy pointed out the bad habits of the dude playing that was pretty cool. And he didn't seem too distracting even with his occasional questions :D

I wont play 16hrs a day, but lets say there is a rainy Sunday i play as much as i like without risking the Peace of the Relationship. 5 times a week is wtf.

a relationship takes maintenance, if you have alot going on together ie raising kids, working, maintaining a home and so on then deciding between the both of you that you should limit time on games is a fair thing to do. when you have children, homes and responsibilities your hobbies become a secondary component to your well-being, still some importance but the health of your family always comes first and gaming should be limited to a point where you can still enjoy it but not at the detriment to everything else
One of my ex was like that, controlling time spent on gaming. Now I'm with a GF who introduced League to me and even flame me when I don't sit and play :D The later is indeed better, I would not accept someone dictating my life again.

Look at all the happy people in the comments with strong marriages. For real, he has this small window to play and his wife probably gives him the space to do so. He also plays with a friend pretty consistently. This is his time away from his wife and child, and it sounds like she is supportive of that within their means. None of you know what this man's day to day is, or what they need to have a happy household.

The smite does too. So it destroys the shield AND you get the smite damage on top AFTER it's destroyed.

In one of NEACE's "Learn From" videos, he talks about attack-move-click with a pro ADC. I think the consensus was to use it on left click, but is that with or with the indicator? I'll have to go back and look. I know there is a bug in TFT if you use it without the indicator. That's why I put mine on MB4. But I might try indicator on left click and see.

For attack move click. Just make it your R. Make your ultimate your T. Me and all my friends have been doing this for years. The first season I made the change I hit plat for the first time ever. It’s very easy to adjust to.

@@alexcapo3694 but the big question is do you play with pinky on Q, index on R. Or do you play with index on E and pinky on shift/control.
I play with index on E, and A is already comfortably where my ring finger is. The layout is very similar to WASD, just moving your index up.
To the dude getting coached try having the range indicator on a button, and attack move on shift right click weaving a pinky tap is very effective.

@@Tobias.d nothing revolutionary. Everything else is pretty standard. League has definitely been figured out by people smarter than me and that was something a diamond friend got me to do and actually learn adc kiting properly. Hopefully neace can recommend this binding too for some more experienced players as you need to be comfortable with your range to make attack move the most effective and can still have the range indicator bound to a button for checking spacing.

TIL attack move is how you're supposed to play and I've been using it without thinking about it since Warcraft III/Starcraft.
You should be able to do whatever you want once you're home from work, obviously spend time with your wife, and help with the kid, but by objective calculation, you have surely got way more time than 2.5-hours a week of spare time outside of the kid and wife, that's just super controlling man. I'd understand her making demands if you were trying to play a couple hours a day, but just a couple hours a week!? That's toxic, she clearly has a distaste for video games. As long as you are fulfilling your child and relationship needs, you should be able to spend every second you have after on league if you so wish. Crazy. Glad my partner is a gamer.
PS: And even if you do happen to not have much free time, unless you're some kind of man-child, you should be the one working out how much time you have for League...

I know people who dropped out of college over League, whose kids are growing up without a dad in their life because they chose League instead of spending time with the family. Their wife left when the newborn was sitting it dirty diapers crying for hours, she gets home from work and he's been gaming all day instead of caring for the baby. It's like any other hobby and addiction, so long as you can manage it and it doesn't damage other parts of your life it should be up to you. But when you let other responsibilities fall behind so you can get your LP fix? In a relationship that doesn't just hurt you, it hurts your family too.

I'm going to try and be charitable to the wife since she's not here to give her side of the story, and assume the gaming cap has to do with some kind of boundary or self control issue. I just can't imagine a normal person with a healthy marriage imposing this kind of restriction on their partner, so I'm going to assume there's some details and context that are obviously left out. Perhaps he has an issue with being obsessive with gaming and hyper-focuses on it to the point where he's creating an imbalance in his life where wife, kids, or household duties are being neglected in some way. Who knows. If he's not happy with this arrangement, though, and talking it out hasn't resulted in an amicable compromise, I highly recommend couples therapy. My husband and I had an issue where he'd check out after our toddler went to bed and he wanted to game on Discord with his buds, which I don't mind except it was every night until he went to bed and he didn't want to go on dates either. Therapist was able to explain to him how dates and non-kid quality time is vital to a marriage and now he makes time for both.

She sees her husband, knows he has an addiction but doesn't want him to give up what he loves, doesn't understand what all this game entails, and wants to help him find other things to do beyond raging about a bad match and taking it out on her without helping around the house. Setting limits/ boundaries is literally the first step to everything. I'm not saying what she's doing or how she's approaching is right, but it is understandable. If she doesn't get free time to do her hobbies it's even more understandable.

My best friend has 4 kids, works overtime weekly, carries a 4.0 in college, has date nights and family nights, and we still play league together daily. I've got to say that using attack move with indicator is debatable. I understand the advantage of seeing your range but not having to press another button outweighs the benefit for me because you get used to your auto attack range. For new players it might be a different story. As long as players are utilizing one version of attack move it's not a big deal to me.
