      @@ZaddySeeBot He talks with them after the game about his reasoning in his coachings. You can also infer a lot of reasons as to why the things he says are correct by seeing them have a net-positive effect in the game. Here, for example, he told the ezreal to step into the xerath poke instead of running away while dodging because then you can threaten autos and q's. The ezreal player started doing this and the lane when drastically better for him because instead of dodging away and letting the xayah get control over the wave he stepped into the poke while trying to dodge it and auto the wave at the same time. You can tell what Neace was teaching is correct because you would rather fight the poke lane and and fight for control while it's in the middle than let them just bully you and poke you while you try to farm under tower. Everyone learns differently of course but it helps to be fairly inquisitive about things and using logical reasoning to think why something might be good to do.

      Poke champs tend to want to shove because it makes the enemy wave smaller and makes it harder for the enemy to dodge the poke. If you freeze on a poke champ the enemy has a big wave to hide in and get the cs without being punished. Engage lanes want to freeze if possible because they can run you down the lane and kill you if you try to break the freeze.

      I have no clue why people build that trash item on him anymore. It's just an objectively worse item. Sunderer has +5 more AD (40 vs 35 of Triforce) but you lose 30% attack speed on Triforce. Both give 300 hp and 20 haste.

    • @noimnotnice
      @noimnotnice 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, Koreans suck at builds generally. Koreans were always building Triforce over Sunderer on many champions. Right now, this is optimal, as Sunderer is only a good dueling item now.

    I've also read somewhere that in bot-lane, if you are against a poke support like the Xerath, you shove them into their tower because the poke support with their adc will have to deal with the wave first or risk stepping over large waves to do the poking. Alternatively, if you have a poke support like the Velkoz it's just as great because now that they have no wave to deal with, he is free to poke them. If you have melee supports, you want the opposite, to be pushed in but keep your HP high, to then have the room (full lane) and resources to engage.
    Is that part of the reason why Neace was instructing the Ezreal to full shove nearly all the time? How do you know when not to shove and when to slow push?

    • @gunproduction9995
      @gunproduction9995 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah you pretty much covered it. It does depend on the team comp. At the same time if you don't know where the enemy jungler is, you do have to be more careful and assume he could be nearby. It just sucks having a xerath shove into you because his range can make it hard to farm under tower. You would only allow this to happen if ur jungler is coming to gank.

    • @LycorisOW
      @LycorisOW 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      is the minion wave on your side, slow push7stack a wave and hard push next one so a big wave is under their tower. If it is in the center you can decide to slow push or shove depending where they are and who they are. If the minion wave is on their side just shove so you stop them from stacking waves.

    • @garrettbillington7230
      @garrettbillington7230 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is the general concept yes, its important to focus on the note that he has a velkoz himself, so the support matchup is poke vs poke. Both sides are wanting the exact same thing, so ideally being the wave controller as an adc, you want to enable your support's win condition as much as possible. It's also "generally" a good idea to always be pushed up in bot lane. It allows roams for dragon control and random jungle fights that may occur on your jungler and places pressure onto the enemy to make a move. Also allows warding timers to watch for incoming ganks. Having prio is an important thing in the bot lane, even if it's just a small amount of prio that isn't quite crashed into a tower. Overall I try to keep the enemy near their freezing point, which you think would be not what you want. There are exceptions of course for some games... Exceptions to this might be having a leona support that actually punishes well at a freezing point near your tower. You don't want her to int dive enemy tower ever. But if you have a leona that afk does nothing, then forget she even exists and try to be safely pushed up, fighting for vision control as much as possible and winning off your jungler's dragon calls. Champs like blitzcrank are the opposite. He doesn't pull himself in, but instead pulls them to you. Having less enemy minions in front of him actually gives him more options for his pull to land. It's very champ specific. Pretty much, you're unable to do much yourself, so you play off whoever is giving you results for that game while kind of testing your support early on and seeing what they'll do. It's complicated. Slow pushes are also a thing and better when you are REALLY good at timing with your junglers clear time and pinging dragon timer. If you can build a slow push and have it crash the moment dragon spawns AND your jungler is ready, you've done something great. That's probably one of my favorite things to do whenever possible. Another reason for a slow push might be a diving opportunity or fishing for a roam timer for your support. If your support roams to a soon to spawn herald topside, a large crash gives you time to buy, return back, and farm safely for awhile on the bounce back. It's all in the timing for slow pushes I feel. They don't last forever, but give you a moment to breathe or punish IF your team has abilities/items/summoner spells/advantages of any kind over your enemy AND uses the timer properly. If either of those things aren't true in your game, then slow pushing is practically useless. Freezing when ahead can be an option as well if you can permanently hold enemy botside off their minions and can draw enemy jungle pressure down to also punish them. Otherwise it may be better to just take everything on the map with your lead, including the enemy jungler camps as you go from taking tower to tower on the map. But many things have to have gone well first for that scenario to appear. LOTS of scenarios.

    • @Skkub
      @Skkub 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      But what if you have a poke support, so you push to give him the opportunity to poke, but the ennemy team has a melee support whom wants to be under his turret ? You are kind of making him a favour by pushing. Imo it would be better to let them shove you in, so your support can still poke, but it's harder for them to get anything done. What do you think ?

    • @garrettbillington7230
      @garrettbillington7230 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Sasha I suppose this sounds like more of the slow pushing scenario to me where I still want to be pushed up as much as possible but with a wave of some kind so I don't get grabbed. Gotta make that tank support dive a fat wave that helps you fight back, or make plays with your jungler to counter their engage by having him sit in a bush just behind you with your prio. Really if you are using a poke comp correctly though, then the enemy tank should never be able to reach you. People make kiting mistakes all the time though and get punished, or they don't flash the flash because they don't see it coming and get too comfortable thinking they've already checkmated the enemy at their tower, blasting their Q's on repeat instead of hovering the D or F key to react to them. I can't say that hasn't ever happened to me either. Everyone messes up. So I'd likely opt into slow pushing, building a wave, and hard crashing into a poke harass as often as I'm allowed to with this one. Early laning phase is safer for the poke comp because damages are still lower for all ins and towers lose resistances after 5 minutes, so opt into hard leads early with your poke and only harass them under their towers instead of using that time to get plates. You hope you get fed enough early on that they never get to play the game or control the wave. When resources get low, you use the large crash as a back timer instead. This is somewhat of a special case scenario and a harder to play to it's fullest potential one. Lots of places for mistakes to happen. Improper kiting, jungler/mid roaming interactions, dives, etc. Things can mess this lane up for the poker pretty quick as well as the tank if the tank does not have the patience to stay back long enough to keep their HP up or something. What you want to avoid with the poke support is getting dove under your tower. Freezing before your tower is good and fine for a bit while you transition into a slow push back, but if it ever crashes into your tower, you're in danger. It's certainly a skill matchup and not as simple of a lane as poke-vs-poke. Gotta take turns with that wave control if you can't just brute force take control of it.

    I haven't finished this video yet. Literally have just watched the beginning hearing these Ezreal stats and my first thoughts are, yeah, that's because ezreal is actually an awesome early game duelist with a stronger passive than people believe it is in laning phase, and he scales amazingly through mid game on top of that. Late game that passive hardly means anything outside of pushing lanes. Korean server is known for these early to mid game constant fights so Ezreal would thrive there more than other adc's who either have to have long CD abilities come back up or need attack speed items to be decent. You can kind of see proof of this again too being that the First strike ezreal is being played here with longer game times more often and stronger mid game spikes happening than in korea where they prefer the PTA early game fighting build for early game skirmishing. Part of it I think is meta, and part of it is using Ezreal to his full potential. Ping can probably also be a small factor, but minimal in my opinion.

    I love watching your coaching videos. League is so complicated and difficult for newer players but it's one of the best games ever made and I love seeing people just getting into it and getting the help and encouragement they need to become a rounded player. Low elo players don't have good game sense. Like they might try to clear a wave before recalling or rotating and by that time it's too late. It takes being around better players to really start comprehending the finer points of the game and the importance of quick and decisive action. There's so much shit to think about and keep track of in this game that cool guys don't look at explosions is great advice, because when you play this game every second is important. You can get to Gold easily just bullying pings when YOU know what to do. If you can get your team to make the right plays at the right time even if they are garbage players it's easy to get out of bronze and silver because most of the time even if the enemy has an advantage they don't press it so if you can pressure your team to make the right calls when you have the advantage you will win most of your games. Ping is your best friend in low elo. If you know your team is doing something stupid spam them to back. If you know you can get baron after a double kill spam it. If you know where the jungler is point it out. Getting bad players to make the right plays is most of the battle. They will fight for no reason, chase for no reason, rotate for no reason and completely waste their time and not rotate when they should.

    I was literally typing the ping thing when the student said it. Ezreal is much harder to play in NA and even EUW because if you don't live right on top of the server you're going to have some degree of latency to deal with. No matter where you live in Korea, though, your ping's going to be very low, because of both distance and infrastructure. However it's obviously not the whole story, I think the skill level in Korea is also obviously higher.

As you said most ezreals tend to play like pussies when against a lane like this with xerath and I'll admit sometimes (not always) I do play passive and just dodge away instead of stepping forward and trying to dodge while autoing. It mainly depends on how confident I feel that day in my ability to finesse the lane so-to-speak.

    I'm still going to go for level 2 and push even with Jarvan. The thing is if they don't punish you for it you can do it. You can escape from Jarvan ganks with your E.

    • @YuYuYuna_

      You're missing the point. Why even risk it. Also in that hypothetical there is a blitzcrank as well, so you E the J4 E-Q and then blitz goes for flash Q and blows your flash. Now you are fairly vulnerable during future trades if the blitz forces you to use your E because he sees J4 coming botside and then you now have no E or flash to dodge the J4 E-Q. Very specific set of events but these aren't at all uncommon situations when you have a strong early ganking JG paired with a blitzcrank/engage support.

      They are way more aggressive yes and try to win the early, macros don't matter :)... that's maybe the problem, I always see this passive ezreals, just sit back and poke, probably a waste of potential

    • @YuYuYuna_
      @YuYuYuna_ 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sugestar The champion in a way encourages you to think you should play the lane passive. He scales with items and more haste/CDR and is a long range ability-based ADC. His autos are important too but his main damage comes from his abilities, namely his Q. Now if you know how to dodge abilities and leverage your E (when to be aggro vs use it defensively) then Ezreal can be a very oppressive ADC to play against. That's why KR ezreals do better than EU and NA. KR players are more mechanically-focused in their gameplay and ezreal gives you an extra flash essentially to fight with. On top of that being a skillshot ADC he is literally all skill expression. If you hit Q's you deal more damage but also you lower the CDs of your other abilities which in turn allows you to deal more damage. It's a infinite feedback loop of cooldown reduction so long as you hit your Q's and have good positioning as an ADC in general.
