Thanks for posting. I was contused a little bit because of seeing negative posts in several groups. And like before, You guys have cleared all the confusion 😇
Hellow... I have a question to ask? Plz guide me regarding this.. If someone clears Mrcog part 2 in Pakistan and wants to have mandatory training there in UK, is it possible to practice there or get a training there after mrcog part 2.. like do we have GMC lisence to work their there after part 2 or we get lisence only after mrcog 3
Hello, i am a surgeon in my country and i want to know if i can do the mrcs without doing the plab first. Could you guide me if that option is possible?
Thank you for the valuable info that you guys provide in your videos and blog posts. As you are aware there is serious shortage of Plab-1 places all around the world. I want to know is it a wise decision to pursue MRCP parts in this time till we get a place for plab-1? And also about gmc registration through MRCP, I have read that you have to pass all three parts to get gmc registration. If so can someone with no UK clinical experience pass PACES?
It would only make sense if you're already sure and committed to pursuing medicine as your specialty of choice. Passing these exams without experience may be difficult.
Can we get gmc registration using FRCS ortho? I am a orthopedics consultant in my country and I dont want to start studying from the basics Is it possible? And how different is it from the plab route or mrcs route?
Hi , I did my medicine from Philippines , still preparing for the board exam in India .. and when I enquired about the plab exam It’s confusing and not getting exact pathway … If I can contact you in mail kindly help out from this ..

Doc, Is it required that I complete my one-year internship at a hospital affiliated with my university? Difficult to say! To date, there is no information on the cost of UKMLA but seeing how it is geared towards new graduates, one wouldn't expect it to be too different than PLAB.
I am doing my internship which will end in two months really confused between plab and usmle though I want to personally go through the plab pathway few things holding me back are: A.Is US lifestyle better to settle down with family also is the pay really high than the UK doctors? B. Can my parents permanently live with me if I move to UK as I heard the ADR visa is next to impossible to get? it would be really nice of you to reply. Thank you.
Hi , a really nice and informative video , thanks for helping us out . I have one difference of opinion , though . You mentioned multiple times that Plab is cheaper than royal College exams . I don't understand the logic. May be it is like that for someone residing in UK . But not for someone like me who lives outside of uk ( india , in my case ) .Let me make my case . If I do plab , the exam cost alone would be 240 + 906 = 1146 . But when I consider other costs like the money that I have to save in my account to get plab 2 visa ( around 3000 pounds ) , the plane tickets to uk ( around 1000 pounds to and fro ) and also the expenses of coaching academy and day to day expenses in uk for writing plab 2 , the total amount required would add up to around 6000 pounds or 6 lakhs Indian rupees . But when it comes to MRCS ( which iam planning to take ) the exam cost alone may be more than plab ( 550 + 997 = 1547 pounds ) . But the catch here is that there are centres available in India for both MRCS part A and Part B ( in delhi and hyderbad for part B ) unlike plab . So I won't have to travel outside India to write any part of MRCS and if I plan it out carefully , I don't necessarily have to go outside uk until I get a job after gmc registration . So the total cost of MRCS , including the coaching and travel expenses , will only come to around 2000 pounds ( 2 lakh Indian rupees ) which is way cheaper than plab . So for somebody like me who is residing outside of uk , isn't MRCS a better option for GMC registration , strictly from a financial point of view ?
We're talking about the exam itself. Many individuals who, for instance, want to take MRCP often have to go abroad for a PACES seat (not necessarily UK- even other countries). Same for MRCS dates- it's not a guarantee you get a local seat and some countries don't offer Royal College exams. So in that case, a person has to travel. Another point- some people don't need visas to travel to the UK. So they have no cost in terms of visa, showing money in the bank, or even much in terms of travel cost. Circumstances can vary greatly and this is why we've mentioned in terms of the exam cost. Regardless, it's a matter of weighing your options and seeing what works best for you. Also, there is no hard and fast rule that your bank must show £3,000 for PLAB 2. The amount to show can vary substantially depending on your stay and where you are staying. Either way- that's not money spent. So if it works for you to take MRCS- good. But that doesn't mean for everyone it would be the cheapest option.
@@RoadToUK ok 👍 I agree . My opinion was a little bit biased based on my circumstances . Based on the exam cost alone , plab is cheaper 👍 . And yes I may not necessarily get a seat in India for MRCS part B , but how I thought of it was , atleast there is a chance to get a seat in India . And regarding the money that we need to save in our account for plab 2 VISA , I am sorry if what I said is wrong . I still don't have a concrete idea regarding the visitor visa processing and so I spoke from what I have heard . Thanks a lot for clarifying 😊
@@vkr8036 i was thinking the same. If I apply for mrcog and pass part 1 & 2 it will be a cheaper option than plab but Im not sure if I can get a training after passing mrcog part 2 in uk?

Great to hear!
THANKS for the information ... It is really helpful..
You're welcome!
My take home message as an FMG:
PLAB -> FY2 standalone -> CT/IMT -> MRCP -> Speciality training
How long would this process take?
8-9 years probably
You don't have to do the standalone. IMT may be 2 or 3 years. Specialty training would be 4 years.
Very inspiring and informativevideo Dr...thank you ❤️

Does Australia recognise mrcp?
We have no information related to Australia.
Hi Assalam alaikum,i tried to find ur recent video so that i can msg u and get reply from u. Firstly i m an international student from pak doing here Msc mangmnet, completed first term, i want a job extremely i dont know how to … my dreams are little bit bigger, i dont want to do odd jobs like groceries store or takeaways i want to do job in NHS or a bank idid BBA …worried kindly guide me
Can iii give neet pg in india & work like for 1year and then can i give plab???
Will the reviews for plab be the same with UKMLA ?
Difficult to say! To date, there is no information on the cost of UKMLA but seeing how it is geared towards new graduates, one wouldn't expect it to be too different than PLAB.
I am doing my internship which will end in two months
really confused between plab and usmle
though I want to personally go through the plab pathway
few things holding me back are:
A.Is US lifestyle better to settle down with family also is the pay really high than the UK doctors?
B. Can my parents permanently live with me if I move to UK
as I heard the ADR visa is next to impossible to get?
it would be really nice of you to reply.
@vkr8036 so r u doing plab or mrcs and why ? only for this financial reason I am also choosing mrcp but not confident for this decision.i am mbbs graduate working in private clinic.pls give some guidance
Hey, can we give plab 2 before completing internship in India ?
You can but then you’ll have to do fy1 again in uk.
Yes but if it's in the middle of your internship, it would just cause an unnecessary gap
Do we need 12 month medical training to write MRCP in UK ?
You need 12 months of experience post graduation. This can even be internship.
Can someone do their post graduation after MBBS without plab I mean if someone wants to post graduation nd get registered with UK is it's possible? Thank in advance ❤️
