The explanation of what a laser is is actually spot on, save a few technical details: while nothing's quite wrong with "equal force", it's not the usual wording, that each photon has the same wavelength and thus the same energy, and in scientific contexts "force" and "energy" are distinct words. Also, what makes lasers special as far as making things burn at a distance is that "parallel" property. You could certainly burn something down with a powerful enough lamp, but burning things requires raising the temperature of an area to a certain point (among other things), so the best way to do it is to take all the energy you're pumping out through that lamp and focus it into a point (think sun+magnifying glass). Lasers, because their beams are ramrod-straight, are essentially always focused along their entire length instead of just at one point (not very true, but true enough for this purpose), so you don't have to constantly refocus to make something burn.

A laser powerful enough to blast through an armored enemy would produce an incredible amount of heat, enough that without a huge amount of cooling systems it would kill anyone using it, not to mention it's beam would superheat the air; which would cause it to explosively expand. So basically he got tossed into an incinerator with a grenade.

The picture of Stalin is like Snob's rule about how Hitler's picture has to be in every Nazi movie.
Fun Fact: The original supernatural Black Widow he mentions appeared in a miniseries called The Twelve, which featured a lot of obscure pulpy Marvel heroes. It's a heck of a read.
+Omni Viewer Who wrote that?
Eamonn Deane The Twelve was written by J Michael Straczynski and illustrated by Chris Weston. I highly recommend reading it. It's actually a canon story set after Civil War, and I'd love to see it adapted for the MCU.
8:47 didn't get it at first, now I do, thanks nostalgia critic!
hey why do these videos not show up on my subscription
can anyone tell me the episode with the puppet Linkara?
Tales to Astonish #27, a.k.a. the origin of Ant-Man (Hank Pym).
And also the nightmare on elm street #5 & 6 if i'm not mistaken
Why even apologize for the voice? If their really that sensitive, then an apology isnt doing anything
10:11 My science must break you!
you should do the issues where black widow turned good and when Clint becomes a avenger along with captain america
Goddammit, Linkara, just make a villain's month already! You know you want it, you know we want it, and we really don't care what month it's in, just do it!
I could do without a villains month
+the Comic Nation 108 One of two things:
* He prefers good over evil and dislikes villainy. For great justice!
* Villains have poor origins
* He's trolling
He said in a previous Origins month that there are still a LOT of hero origins to go through, but he might get to it eventually.
@@redjirachi1 I think it's the first.
@@redjirachi1 Not all do there are some good ones like Dr Dom, Sinestro and Black Adam...but in general they are bland like Lex Luthor...or only given good ones in modern times
Are you going to do hawkeye and black panter next year?
I love Black Panter.
Steven Universe reference FTW! Seriously, seeing SU referenced on AT4W just made my day! :D
+nerdsman567 he referenced SU? where? how?
+696190 At 3:31.
nerdsman567 I knew that art style seemed familiar...
Love the drunk tony stark voice xD it makes the comic 10 times better
i love the drunk tony voice its hilarious
Also is it possible that Ivansano is another variant from another universe. Does this mean we are doing either an exiles romp or a crisis on infinite earths disaster i prefer exiles myself.
How did Boris from Life of Boris get in the comic?
It is funny because Boris from from Life of Boris is Russian.
Have you heard of many Italian Boris?
But how would Lasers improve the effectiveness of Transistors?
+Lynn Green Because SCIENCE
+Lynn Green Don't you know anything about it?
+Lynn Green imo, the most stupid thing about the laser was calling it Laser-Light. A lot of people don't seem to know this, but Laser is an acronym for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. The L stands for light! Calling it Laser-light is as redundant as PIN-Number.
+Bianca Mayer Or EMP Pulse
***** I can't remember hearing anyone say EMP Pulse or reading it somewhere, but you're right, it's the same thing.
A laser powerful enough to blast through an armored enemy would produce an incredible amount of heat, enough that without a huge amount of cooling systems it would kill anyone using it, not to mention it's beam would superheat the air; which would cause it to explosively expand. So basically he got tossed into an incinerator with a grenade.
the hell happened to linksano?! did another experiment go wrong?
Actually, most spies DO use their real first names. It's just easier to remember, and helps prevent slip ups
I can tell Linkara was under pressure of some type, as this vid seems almost on fast forward! Still, thanks for another SOM, next year hopefully Doctor Strange!
I guess Tony would be the squirrel in this case and Anton would be the moose.
8:04 I don't see where you're going with this...
17:02 Until Iron Man 2! Seriously, what the Hell?
@Darth_ Madara Why wasn't Justin Hammer the main villain? We could have got more Sam Rockwell!
*slurring voice* I'm offensive and I find the voice drunk!
....
Wait a minute....
19:50 - 20:25 - This video (and the movie) is Firestorm Approved!
Iron man 2 jokes are necesary.
Black Widow
Vanko.
So like: Vanko in Iron Man 2 is the son of Ivan Vanko, but the movie never suggests he actually became the Crimson Dynamo. But he must have because Yelena references the Crimson Dynamo in Black Widow.
I'd say that Mephisto isn't actually Satan, but in the Marvel multiverse, they probably are the same being.
