00:27 🩺 Neoplastic syndromes occur alongside cancer and present as a set of synchronized manifestations. 06:00 🩸 Renal cell carcinoma can cause blood in urine (hematuria), and anatomical correlations can lead to left-sided varicocele due to metastasis to the left renal vein. 11:38 📈 Paraneoplastic syndrome associated with renal cell carcinoma includes inappropriate secretion of erythropoietin leading to absolute polycythemia. 12:45 💊 Renal cell carcinoma can secrete parathyroid hormone-related peptide causing hypercalcemia and liver enzymes, mimicking liver function, due to the kidney's metabolic activities. 16:34 💡 Small cell lung cancer can secrete various hormones causing Cushing's syndrome, SIADH leading to hyponatremia, and paraneoplastic hypertrophic osteoarthropathy. 19:04 🦠 Pancreatic cancer may lead to paraneoplastic syndromes such as migratory thrombophlebitis and nonbacterial thrombotic endocarditis. 20:43 🌟 Lésar sign, characterized by sudden eruption of multiple seborrheic keratoses, can be indicative of underlying gastrointestinal malignancies like stomach or colon cancer. 21:51 💡 Various paraneoplastic syndromes exist, aiding in the diagnosis of cancer before other methods. 22:16 🩸 Paraneoplastic syndromes include migratory thrombosis (Trousseau syndrome), Sister Mary Joseph nodule, acanthosis nigricans, and more, which can serve as clues to underlying malignancies. 23:38 🧬 Pre-neoplastic syndrome precedes the development of cancer and may warrant further exploration in a separate video.
It's worth noting that paraneoplastic signs are not a common finding for malignancy suspicion since they occur as little as 40% in all cancer patients. So, only the presence of tumor with damage to its surrounding displays the first sign of malignancy
20:01 acanthosis - ridges gets elongated due to spinous layer thickening 😱😱 they are not supposed to be elongated as that much in normal skin layers epidermis 😮
CT of kidney shows renal lesion. I have worsening neurological symptoms - Consultant Radiologist mentioned the possibility of a paraneoplastic syndrome. Do Neuro symptoms indicate this? Thank you. What to do?

i forgot about u for 6months..
today i remember suddenly!
love you again
Thank you so much!
Welcome back!
exam season?
Acantho means spine or thorn. It derives from the skin's spinous/prickle layer.
What a teaching talent !
Thank you!

Thank you so much ❤❤
Love from India ❤

yeaaah we would love to have a video about pre neoplastic syndrome!
Other cancer secrete high EPO is hepatocellular carcinoma
Very nice❤
Many many thanks!
CT of kidney shows renal lesion. I have worsening neurological symptoms - Consultant Radiologist mentioned the possibility of a paraneoplastic syndrome. Do Neuro symptoms indicate this? Thank you. What to do?
Medicosis, does hepatocellular carcinoma produces EPO? Because liver produces RBC for fetuses.
Anti- NMDA receptor encephalitis is also paraneoplastic syndrome
Great video
Excuse me sır, but you were MISTAKEN. Renal cancer never give methastasis to renal vein. There might be thrombus which arised from tumor.
Actually Renal cancer can methastasis to renal vein. That is T3 in cancer staging
تحيا مصر يعم الحاج😂❤
Medicosis, is LEMG a paraneoplastic syndrome of SCLC? Is MG a paraneoplastic syndrome of thymoma?
The first one is YES!
hi medicosis ..would I list videos according to systems think would be helpful on searching
I have a separate playlist for each system: (e.g. cardiology, nephrology, neurology, endocrinology, immunology, gastroenterology,…etc).
Hepatocellular carcinoma and cerebellar hemangioblastoma
Medicosis, what if an elderly female smoker with sodium level below 125? does this mean SCLC as well?
Possibly!
@@MedicosisPerfectionalis Thank you so much.
❤ Appreciable
Watching from Oklahoma- and pretty sure this place is a neoplasia.
