I'm not into the series 3 but I 100% get it. My mist used box right now is a 200$ 3 drawer mac cart that's soraypainted red and it is "Simply the Best" to quote a great soundtrack for it lol. Cost nothin, holds everything I need "in my back pocket". And if it spontaneously combusts tonight, so what/ I hope my m12 sh*ts OK 😆 🤣
The workcenter hutch would be insane for the bedroom! power ports to charge your electronics in the drawers, 2 closets for clothing and stuff, plenty of drawers for socks, umderwear, ties, Hats, rings, personal belongings. You can even stick a TV on it! the side can stick other stuff like the remotes or the speakers all that on wheels easy to move so you can clean behind it and under it.
Harbor Freight.. My Matco 6s triple bay toolbox and my US General full bank master tech cart are full and I definitely need this box. I like the gray but I would go with black to match my other two toolboxes.. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Buying one tomorrow bc on sale for $1349.99 but i can't decide on the red or grey, i love greys but dang that black pops off that candy red looking box. Update - bought 72" bottom toolbox + 72" top hutch + side locker ALL on sale for 25% off thanks to limited time deals, I saved a total of $715 and only paid $2,245 for everything. Later down the road I will get the side toolbox once I need extra tool storage. And I went with the Slate Grey.
@@nczioox1116 they don't offer shipping, you have to figure that out. There are multiple routes, if your company doesn't have a truck you can borrow, or a friend with a truck, then you will need to rent a truck, like a small U-Haul for 20$. It's in a big wooden box and they will load it with forklift, you'll need help unloading from the truck. But once off it has a throw away ramp to roll out of the wooden crate inside so pull it out to use, it's nice.
@@nczioox1116 might be ok then, bc Home Depot ones can't hold a lot of weight, but if it's home use u will be just fine then. The wheels on the HF can hold like 3x more or something, I can't remember. I'm industrial, so I needed the weight for big tools too.
Since they are reverse compatible from Series 2, I literally this past weekend caught the 72" green Series 2 roll cabinet on clearance since they are trying to make room for the Series 3. I plan to buy the top hutch and two end cabinets when they become available in green at our local HFT. I really like the cabinet. The roll cabinet is replacing other smaller cabinets that I'm still consolidating and organizing. My wife did support my decision to buy a new larger cabinet and just told me to make sure I didn't want to wait for the Series 3 to come out first. I was concerned about availability and getting the color I wanted.
@@bentaxledad6778 Only speaking from my experience with a series 2 top chest not fitting on a series 3 bottom. At least it won't unless you're willing to make modifications. Unless HFT has made changes the older series 2 have a high probability of fitment issues.
im a field tech and man do i love HF, no need to step on a tool truck and incur debt. HF tools get my job done and dont rap my wallet. HF please make bucket man stickers. would be dope to put on my stuff.

My main thing is I’d like to be able to customize the drawers and have different depth options. For example, I’d like to have a 7-8” deep bottom drawer so I can put my specialty tools that I keep in their boxes down there. And be able to change up the other drawers so I could stand my hammers upright (laying down upright) etc. so it’d be nice to see those options available. And the different depth options for more space. I’d pay more for a 30” depth and not feel bad

Ordered me a 72 x 22 decked out in black today. I've had a 56 x 22 for 5 years now, working in a heavy equipment shop, and have been needing another box to add on that's also an upgrade. I just can't find it in me (or in my bank account) to pay $15,000 - $30,000 for a snap on epic chest, and I probably never will.
I hope they come out with 56" 44" and 26" versions of this so I can make my own snap on mr big on a budget. I would literally sell my 72" snap on master series to do so even tho the depth difference is 8 inches but still it would be badass. I hate the black trim tho
Your Snap On Master Series is 1000 times the box these cheap light weight HOBO Freight US General boxes are, many people are finding the HOBO Freight boxes are racked right out of the box with only 3 of the four casters making contact with a level floor surface. The Snap On Box HOBO Freight compares this box to weights over 100 pounds more than the HOBO Freight box, that is the extra engineering designed into the Snap On box that HOBO Freight does not have. You would be foolish to get rid of your Snap On Master Series box for a cheap HOBO Freight box.
Anyone else notice the hooks on the outside of the side cabinets? Just Ruess the looks makes it look cheep. Sad was on the website to order the side boxes when I noticed it. Might just get some metal garage cabinets.

The series 3 locker is a huge step up from the last ones. The lockers are my favorite part of the series 3 (and the little slant front edge on the top.)

You guys really need to change the plug location to the sides of the boxes I just realized I won’t be able to use the power strip in the base because I need to screw it to the back wall of my trailer. Also need to make available the templates where the casters mount so those of us that are mounting them in our trailers can bolt them to the floor.
Went to check one out in the store display isle, looked great at first glance no doubt, but as soon as I opened the first top drawer it felt hella loose at the rails and wobbled to the sides like crazy! Go ahead and pull that first drawer and see what I mean, compared to the ICON right next to that box and my Snap-on box they feel WAY stronger in that matter and don't have that play at all! You can tell the difference right away... I would buy one if they corrected that issue, and for gods sake, make a stainless steel top for these thats like a must have for mechanics.
I have the same box in the video and the one complaint I have is this… The hutch door, when open, sticks out from the front of the hutch by about 2 or 3 inches. The corners are sharp and I promise you will bump your head on this door while working around the box. I’m six ft tall and the corners of the door hits me at about eye level. Not good. This hutch needs to be 6 inches taller! I’m considering returning the hutch and getting the top box since I think you could reply get hurt if you hit that door.
I was at Harbor Freight tonight looking at the gray model that was on the floor. The full length drawer latches were already sticking and the plastic spring that returns the latch to lock the drawer was already broken. They look cool, but it seems that some of the box was cheapened out and may not last. I will keep my series 2 that I have at the home garage and the Matco at work.
This is the case with every toolbox display they have even the two series, customers will destroy the carts for no reason and make it look less durable.

The store had a green 72" series 2 that was a display and the latches or locks were not broken, but the drawers were full of tool packaging that people had dumped when they must have stolen tools.
I believe so too, I love the look for series 3, but I can tell the lock springs are too easy to broke, decided to keep my series 2 and maybe just add a hutch and side locker
Why not just make it the first of it's kind and make it 12"-16" taller so we can have one complete toolbox, without stacking another chest on top of it to have enough room and having it so tall I got to climb on my grandma's back to see if the top drawers and I'm 6'1" Maybe even 25" deep cost can't be a ton more

Not backwards compatible without modification. Its only off by 0.25" but series 2 top didn't fit on the series 3 bottom I just purchased.

These are technically modular but you would have to buy two and use the drawers you want

They are only 22" wide compared to 29" so that in itself is much more narrower drawers.
