the amount of happinesss, excitement and utter panic of missing the window drives me insane. This is purely a hudson river thing for me. found some realllly special spots to me last year that i would argue have likely never ever been fished, i walk from the house i grew up in to the cliffs, down, and a little bit of. a hike to this spot that couldnt be better made for fishing. I went 4 times to this spot. dozens of cats most times. but one time. one time it was the most magical thing I experienced. water is the prettiest ive ever seen at night. glass with some spilling from yonkers and south. Id rather catch a good amount of smaller fish in my "secret spot in pure peace" than a tank to hold up and impress everyone around.

Isn't it against the Law to use Atlantic Herring for bait? That law has made the blood worm pickers rich in Maine.
Fortunately for us, were allowed to use herring on the Hudson River! Other than here, you're absolutely correct.
Any live bait in the creeks?
If you jig for em, you'll get em! If you scap em in the river you'll definitely get em. 👌

What size rods do you use?
9-10ft normally. But we use 13ft heavers when need be lol. 😅
