Funny coincidence: I live in Switzerland and in our rivers we have Barbels that can get very heavy. By now they are by far the most common fish in the river since greylings and trout have nearly completely disapeared. They are known to fight like crazy once hooked. I caught a few of them while fishing for greyling. once I caught a two footer fishing with a dead bait fish. Yesterday I was beside the river and a big pack of Barbels was inches from the shore. My son spotted them and did feed them with popcorn. They were so tame they were like aquarium fish. In nearly sixty years I never see mBerbels behave like that.
I got my GED at 28. Left school and went straight to work, decided I wanted to join EMS and go to school to become a paramedic so I made my moves to get where I am today. Don’t be ashamed brother, embrace it and tell everyone that you are making the moves in life to get what you want.
Yeah it's ridiculously easy to get by in the world as a drop out, like the guy said about his experience with the US Army. No one verifies such basic education, and if they do you don't want to work there anyway. You can get into universities via alternative means (i.e. being a mature student at a community college, bypassing college screening, or maybe having possibly totally not fake documents). At the end of the day though, you know you don't have it. I walked out on the second day of testing, the math. I have bad math anxiety. Every other subject I was in the 90th percentile. Still ain't gone back, and as a mature student(over 26) universities just don't care - they want my money.
The invasive carp in the US are known as grass carp, they are shaped like a torpedo, the most widespread of the carp family are the common carp which is more heavily built & stockier that grow in excess of 70lb's & crucian carp (feral goldfish) which don't get much bigger than a few pounds
I think that the first fish you hooked is a japanese barbel. The barbel here in italy its very known and it is super cool, but here it is getting more rare day by day...... btw good catch❤❤
the mystery fish was a barbel here in the uk they're known as the king of the river they fight like crazy and easily swim upstream against strong currents
First fish (~ 11:20 )is a barbel, insanely strong fish for their size, very popular game fish and one of the best continental water fish here in Spain!
Great googan video. My only thing against this is that I never see Rob do much. It's like that he didn't look like he wanted to be. Also I do follow all of the googan boys. Really enjoy you guys exploring didn't parts of the world
I hate birds that do that too 😂 but nice to see you guys fish in Japan. Next, try saltwater they got a lot of stuff and try for squid and cuttle fish I think outdoor chief be catching nice fish out there
Japanese Barbel, Nigoi. Took me 3 minutes on google to find that out. Beats the hell out of me why these fellas didn't do a bit more research to begin with. Japanese freshwater fish would have been my first search. Love your channel by the way.
One thing I regret for the 2 years I was stationed in Tokyo, not doing some fishing. Also a good word for you to remember at this point is to say sorry pronounced go-men-es-i

Very respectable thing to do !
Grandpa at 38? Damn
congrats
If you didnt know, the first fish you caught is a Japanese barbel
Figured it was a barbel, but is it a separate species from Europe?
We have barbels in Europe as well. They’re very well known for being tough fighters, no wonder this one kicked his ass at the beginning 😊
It looked similar to a suckerfish in the US

Awesesome, that first "weird" fish looks like a european barbel mixed with a mudsucker.
Came here to say barbel as well.
@@gamesandfunnystuffyeah apparently it’s called a barbel steed, looks like it’s in the same family
It's a Nigoi or Japanese barbel
nigoi in japanese

Anybody know what happened to Lojo's channel?
The edit at the end of video was sickkkk

That first fish you caught was a Nigoi _(Japanese Barbel)._
And being a typical Barbel, they fight like crazy.
Wait! An American dude actually drilling the fish! Awesome:P.
