  • This video is about how to set up and stream your DJ sets to Facebook Live with your cell phone and the iRig 2. Most DJs out there seem to use only the cell phone's mic for capturing audio which is not that great. I'm giving you my version to help with sound quality. Please like, share, subscribe, and turn on the notifications; all that!!!

Hello, first of all thank you very much for your videos.
With the ddj 1000 I must use the booth or master 1 output if I want to keep the master output for my speakers ?
Thank you in advance for your response ;-)

    • @gfire_productions

Hello Romain, you can do it either way so I'll put both examples below:
1: Master out to Speakers + Booth Out to the iRig
2: Booth out to the Speakers and Master 1 out to the iRig.
      I prefer option 1 though.

Used to livestream on twitch and IG with my SB3 and irig 2. Never had problems with getting the audio straight from the controller to my iPhone. I’m now on a ddj 1000srt and I’m trying to use the rca master output 2 but I’m not getting audio from the controller to the iPhone. Do you know what could be the problem?

Hello Marlon and thank for supporting our channel. Yes the mic is connected to the mixer and so are the headphones. Just to be clear with the head phones, I temporarily connected them from the mixer to the iPad to quickly hear how it sounds from the viewers on face book. Once I hear it is good on my iPad, I put the headphones back in the mixer.

Hello Kid Dream and thanks for watching. I'm really not sure why your device is not working however exactly what I did in the video is exactly what works. Be sure to check that you have the proper getting set up on both your DJ controller and the I rig. Also take note of the cables you were using and make sure that they are the proper connections on each end. Usually when I follow along with tutorials if I get stuck somewhere I will go back to the beginning and take my time to follow each step precisely. To this day my rig still works in the exact way that I used in this video. But do let me know if you were still having trouble getting your iRig 2 to work.

I don't see why not sir. Just like my Pioneer DDJ SX2, I've use a Yamaha MG06x with the iRig as a test and it works just the same. Now in the case of the Tascam 2x2, what I would do is use it kind of like I use my booth out on the back of my mixer which are 1/4 inch jacks out. Go to that part of the video th-cam.com/video/AJHqhIWPxss/w-d-xo.html and mimic that except for you're using a Tascam 2x2 instead of a Pioneer DDJSX. All other steps to set up the iRig should be the same. All you are doing essentially is using a different type of mixer. Let me know how it works out please.

However I can not plug this into my DDJ-SX2. Hello DJ Jamie. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. Usb cables are for data transfer so with that usb mic I believe it is designed to plug directly into your CPU. That idea is common with Podcasters who use software on their computer as their mixer and the USB mic recognize S the audio and source so they can speak to the audiences. Unfortunately Facebook and TH-cam does have algorithms that will set us down due to copyright for certain music selections. The word from most of the DJ community is if you were going to live stream over to twitch in about your followers to check you out there. Otherwise you will have to do very fast and crazy remix is to try to beat the algorithms before it catches your eye shut you down. Also you can risk getting flagged over your channel shit now. Just another one of those things are DJs have to overcome..

I got you bro. So the iRig Pre is mainly used for microphones. So imagine a powered speaker that has a mic/line switch. Set to line you'l get normal sound from you Denon given the gain on the Denon is correct. Now if you switch the mic/line switch on the speaker to "mic" position the Denton will be very loud because you are now sending a line level signal to a mic line imput. You may be experiencing this concept with the iRig Pre. I would try a dI box between the Denon and the the Irig Pre or Turn down the Denon matter column way down(low signal. Don't for get to check the gain on the iRig Pre.
