EcoFlow River Max vs "2" QSC K8.2s

Great Video, with the price range i really want to compare this with rcf hdl 20's.
Thanks for watching. I've had the LA 112 different configurations, and I'm really pleased with them. From what I can tell on paper, HDL 20 can go a little lower with the bass response at 55Hz compared to QSC 58Hz and RCH has 100 degrees vertical coverage vs QSC 90 degrees vertical. Looks like QSC is winning in most other areas of the specs. I went with QSC because of the pole, fly and stack options and mainly the built in rigging with no extra pins exactor the first box the attaches to the stack adaptor bracket. After that is all connect splay then play!!! QSC y'all oh me for that one. "Connect Splay then Play". lol
The signal from mic receivers are too hot because the receiver is set to output at line level. This in purposeful for when going into an input that doesn’t have a pre-amp. Since you’re plugging into a mixer with a preamp, the correct practice would be to set the receiver output at mic level. It’s not that your mics are more powerful.
Thanks Jesse and you're correct. There is two side to this coin though. Let's say I was using my DJ controller or Keyboard in channels 1 & 2… Given they both put out line level signal, even without the aid of a DI box I could just pad the channels by 26db because the mixer is designed that way. The way you are talking about though is set the back of my receiver to mic level output(switch to the left) and un-pad the mixer. I chose to set receivers to output line level signal(switch to the right) and pad mixer. I think saying my mics are that much more powerful was probably spoken out of context on my part, though. So thank you for that correction my friend. Also I think your way is the safer way to not blow a mixer channel if the pad button was accidentally depressed live.

I have a JBL party box with Aux.. where do I hook it up from the mixer
Hello Abraham and thanks for watching.. I don't have a party box, so I don't know. Check with the manual on the JBL party box for any inputs from external devices. Also, keep in mind that you may potentially need a DI box between the Yamaha mixer and yourJBL party box.Does that help?

Great work! Are you able to plug in 2 tops and 1 subwoofer into the same Power amp? Or do you recommend running them to a different outlet in the venue?
@@GianBravo thanks for watching bro. If I were running two tops and a single sub with this set up I’d do this; XLR cables from the MG06X mixer’s main left & right outputs into my subwoofer, which has two inputs. From the subwoofer’s two outputs to rack left and right speaker.
@@gfire_productions I mean for the power cables
@@GianBravo oh OK. Yeah I've plugged in my speakers and subs in to the power conditioner with no issues.
QSC touch mix 16 will change your life
I believe it, bro I almost bought one but it doesn't fit the narrative of how are used his box. Plus, I'm kind on that. Behringer/Midas platform so…. you know. QSC Touch mix is the bomb though.
Why the TouchMix? If he wanted an upgrade in this price range, I'd go for the Yamaha DM3S - it's exactly the same price as the TouchMix-16, while being a full featured console with motorized faders. It's not that much bigger, but the control flexibility is much better. TouchMix is pretty much the same thing as the XR18, just with a screen, I don't see a reason to upgrade to that...
@@jan.kerhart Good point. I also didn’t mention I’m an “away from the mixer” kind of guy. I have an x32 compact also but in most cases I still mix on my iPad. The XR18 fits perfectly for what I want anted to accomplish with the Krackin.
I thought I exaggerated my racks!!! Good job
Thank you, Sergio.
is this giving you a true left and right stereo channel seperation or are you getting a mono signal to both speakers?
No this setup is mono to both the wired and the wireless systems. If I wanted both of my Everse speakers to be stereo, I would first have to ensure that the Serato DJ program is set to stereo output then on the back of the Alto Stealth, I would switch it over to stereo. The receivers can be set to receive as a left channel or right channel so I would also have to ensure that one of them is set to receive on the left channel, and the other is set to receive on the right channel. In that scenario, I could probably both out to my QSC system. There's a lot of ways to get this done I just chose the most practical way for me. Also, in this scenario, stereo is totally irrelevant because I have a single subwoofer and top speaker under the back deck, one single speaker inside, and another single speaker outside. Stereo does not matter, and in my opinion mono makes more sense.
@gfire_productions im a sound buff guy, i hate mono with a passion, simple because I've never liked how everything gets mixed and lost in translation. I use the xvive xlr system with my everse 12s, 8s, ans alto ts415s and gotta say, its super easy and the sound quality is top notch, to each their own, alto makes quality shit and reasonable prices, thats for sure
.I. heres my like
what case is that?
amzn.to/3D8zC37
How do you accomplish this solely using the iPad!
When the app is open, in the top bar, press shows tab, you will see to two tabs now for "shows" and "scenes". You will need to create a show file first and then name it whatever you want to name it. Then you will create a scene and name it what you would like to name it. Make sure you hit the "save" button afterwards. You can create a show with several scenes in it on the iPad. When you want to recall any scenes you click on the appropriate show that you created and the scenes within that show. I will probably make a video about this soon and link it to you.
@@gfire_productions I really appreciate this!!!
@@tijhon1000 you're welcome and good success to you in the mix!!!
hey man is it the same for the outputs on the mg06x? is the left output mono only? thank you
@@amine9354 When the mono button is engaged, the outputs are mono. If set to stereo though, channel 1 will go to the left speaker only and channel 2 will go to the right speaker. Does that help?
When you run this in mono, does it send the same mono signal to both receivers or does it only send a mono signal to 1 receiver?
@@ShaneBryson it sends the same mono signal to both receivers, but make sure you set both receivers to receive on the L channel.
As I'm getting into the Music DJ industry, this video was very knowledgeable of the equipment. It's definitely on my Christmas list!!
Thanks for watching. Shehds are a good company.
awesome video!!! thanks fam!!!
You're welcome bro.
Dope review! I never ran a mixer with djing but plan to soon. If a videographer were wanting to plug into the mixer for sound capture, which input would they use?
This mixer is limited on outputs so here are some options: 1 - Out of the Left side 1/4 jacks of the the main output of the mixer (ensure the mixer is set to mono mode). 2 - Out of the "phones" output (this way you could at least control how much signal is going to the recorder independent of the main volume that goes to your speakers. 3 - XLR direct out of the back of you speaker is the easiest because they won't have to connect to the mixer at all. 4 - This one is weird but when the mixers in mono mode, the left and right XLRs output the exact same signal. In this case, you could use one XLR output for your speaker and the other XLR output for the videographer. If you were using 2 Speakers, just daisychain an XLR cable from one speaker to the other while also using the other XLR channel from your mixer for the videographer. Your mixer must absolutely be in mono mode.

When setting up an external router, would I be able to switch back to AP by just sliding the switch to AP, or would I need to configure it all again? I'm worried that if something happens to the external router, I would lose the ability to enter the app.
That's a good question and here's what actually would happen if you were using your external router and the router just quit in the middle of the mix… You would essentially be left with the mix as it is at that moment so anything on muted or un muted would still be in that status, and all audio will still pass through as it is at that moment. You just basically would not have control of the mix. So in that situation, you would have to switch over to the built-in Wi-Fi and reconnect. A tablet or iPad would automatically connect and configured to with the mixer is already doing and you could just simply continue. With a PC however make sure when you connect to the built-in Wi-Fi of the XR 18 ensure that you select mixer to PC. that way the mixer is currently going on in the mixer will not be changed, but will make your PCs program. Adjust to what the mixer is already doing. If you select PC to mixer, you could risk changing up your whole scene and totally messing up your mix.. Please let me know if this helps. Thanks for watching for supporting our channel. I hope you've become a part of the G Fire nation by subscribing!
