I had to look up the price of the Trackhawk when it was last offered (2021). I knew it would be expensive, but I wasn't expecting to find out that it went for over $92k. So while this new EV Jeep is expensive, no doubt about that, but when you look at the pricing for older fast Jeep models, I guess it's fairly consistent. If there was a market for the old Trackhawk, then there probably a market for this new Jeep EV.

There wasn't much of a market, I got mine for 11k under MSRP after it sat on a dealer lot for a year. Most people don't care about speed, just practicality.

I was actually considering a Polestar 3, Lucid Gravity or something similar for my next EV, but the main issue I had was the size of them and what would fit in my garage. The Macan EV is nice and smaller but just stupid expensive. If this is even faster, cheaper, has reasonable luxury and is smaller than competitors, that's actually more desirable to me. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this one. Although coming from a Mach-E, it's funny how a 12.3" screen seems so small these days.

I have had a few invites (Honda, Mazda, Toyota, ect.) and I had to decline because the cost of the trip would be too expensive for me to justify. It would cost me thousands to go where they wanted me to go at the time they wanted me to show up. Mazda wanted me to stay at a hotel that costs over $1000 a night (CX70 release). Honda wanted me to fly to California and meet them in a very expensive location (CRV Hybrid release) They never mentioned that they were going to cover any of the costs. Gorgeous. Oh, but the price point means it will be a niche of a niche product. Tesla Model Y is priced in a sweet spot to rack up sales, with its appealing range, tech, charging abilities. When Jeep's $45-55K EV or range-extender model hits the market, then we can make Model Y comparisons and talk about turning around Jeep's sales decline.
