- FIRST LOOK: The Wagoneer S is here and Jeep is bringing it big with their first full EV. On the outside you will notice 20in wheels, special LED lighting and aggressive rear spoiler. I don't know Joe. To me, they lose a little of the Jeep identity, which is a miss. Huge price tag, and I'm not too sure how that'll go. To me, the more successful EV that I think is coming soon is the Jeep Recon offroader, which looks more like a Jeep and is like the size of a Renegade. On top of that Im sure it will be more affordablethan this. Don't see the purpose of this vehicle honestly. Not needed at this time.

This was originally planned as the cherokee replacement.. now they are doing a GC refresh with EV in mind and new Cherokee that might look close to this but without all of the fancy bits

If you want to mute that sound when you are inside of the vehicle (door open) just press the button that says “ok” on the steering wheel a couple times and you will turn off the sound.
$70k+...haha. Be prepared to see them rusting on dealership lots this Fall.
It will be fascinating to see how they sell.
No Everybody hated Evs. If the Fossil Fuels weren't Harmful to your Environment we won't be seeing EVs. Some People you have to constantly remind them why Evs the Future. Unless Someone Invents a Zero emission Engine that uses an Abundant Type of Fuel is Not Dangerous like Hydrogen
its all about the lease; 70% of ev's are leased
Even though the exterior design takes aerodynamics into consideration, Jeep should have made the Wagoneer S boxy (like the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer models). Rivian does the same thing with the boxy, rugged design in the R1S, so a boxy Wagoneer S would be good to compete against the R1S for a rugged EV.

Raiti, I’m a big fan of your channel. I look forward to watching every new video just to hear the hilarious description for different things and features about cars. However. BEV is one of those hilarious description for EV. I think electric cars are best to be called EV because BEV sounds kind of weak and goofy. Maybe in the future when we start making electric cars that I gear specifically towards girls then we can call them BEV and, hopefully they will come in the color pink. But hey, I enjoy all your videos. You are the best.

Hi it is Lucy the all new Jeep wrangler is electric for the very first time for 2024. High tech and it looks really nice but it will be very expensive.

I'm still not sold on EVs, but this is the only BEV that I will buy. I'm a big Jeep fan and they did a fantastic job on this. It looks like a Jeep and it looks sporty. And it is $30,000 less than what I thought.

Well BEV is being used for pure battery electric vehicles with motors and no engines. The other categories would be Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle (PHEV) or Hybrid which is (HEV). Both of those have batteries, electric motors, be a gas engine.

Good review! Interesting Jeep is trying to make its brand more luxurious with a premium price. Compared to a real luxury brand, Not sure what direction is going for affordable vehicles for the working class?
Call me crazy but I think I’d prefer a 2019 Trackhawk. I’m in no way some insane car enthusiast who reminisces about the good ol days and think EVs are the scum of earth, but I remember a year ago eating dinner at a restaurant and hearing a Trackhawk fire up outside (we were next to a hotel and the restaurant had these massive windows) and it sounded absolutely nasty, garnered stares from the entire restaurant. I fell in love 😅

Not at all.
Driving a JEEP EV, Lease ONLY. I will NOT buy one. Don't get me wrong, I love the GC, I have had 4 of them, Overland, but lease ONLY. I like this one, for sure, but if the lease will not be low enough, will skip it.
So, more a Chevy Blazer EV SS or previous-gen GC Trackhawk fighter, with NO air suspension and a smaller wheelbase vs the Blazer EV (yes, I know the Blazer EV or previous-gen GC Trackhawk didn't offer air suspension), but the previous and current-gen did and do, yes, it has a front trunk, they should’ve really just called it Grand Cherokee S (S standing for sports coupe) because it looks like a Grand Cherokee Coupe, will it sales, maybe to those that want GC Trackhawk 0 to 60 performance which the new-gen GC has yet to offer, wondering why it doesn’t have the same wheelbase as the 2-row GC, yes, I know it’s on a dedicated EV platform supposedly, but that rear seating legroom looks a little tight
Positive:
Great sleek headlight design
Luxury feel interior with heated and ventilated front and rear seats, massage seats too? Maybe I misheard that. Cargo space looks decent. Panoramic sunroof.
Cons:
No fog lights.
While the rear seats have heated/ventilated seats, the rear control box is lacking a few things, no climate control, no knobs, no fan control, especially for this being a $70k vehicle..
Not sure this vehicle is worth $70,000+ though, especially with all the dealer markups and stuff, this thing can easily be an $80k+ vehicle which will sit on the lot and eat dust…
Overall, I’d rate this vehicle at a 4/10…

Great review as always Joe! I like the exterior lines and details. But..... I don't need the sunroof and all the interior bells and whistles. I need a vehicle that's a tool. I don't need all the fancy electronics, heated vibrating seats that will give you a pedicure while you're listening to Liberace and on auto. Give me the EV with full interior vinyl package; floor, seats and ceiling that you can clean out with a fire hose. Keep the blasters so I can listen to the Grateful Dead. Tt&t under $50K so I can find reasonable insurance and still afford to stash a mahi sandwich, unsweetened tea, (and a twinkie). Like you I live in FL, so it needs to have enough height to clear a gator. Thanks, and keep up the good work.

It’s nice! But not worth 72,000 thousand dollars. Maybe a few will buy it. Until the Government passes that law that’s been in the house and congress that mandates every vehicle in the United States be an electric powered vehicle or a plug-in hybrid. Most people are going to keep buying gasoline vehicles.
It’s going to be a very difficult situation when that law is passed in the future because it will render diesel and gasoline vehicles to be no longer in use on the roads. I’m so glad the law hasn’t been passed yet.
I would like to see the car manufacturers offer hybrids in certain models, but spend their R and D dollars on refining the ICE. Stop falling for the govt taxpayer subsidies and focus on what consumers want and need. Otherwise they will bleed money even more than they already are and ruin their companies.

What's the point of a wagoneer S. Buying a Grand Cherokee 4Xe would be cheaper and have more range.
Only complaint I’ve got is the front grille and the name. It could have been designed to look a little more Jeep Grand Cherokee like but not exactly the same. Think it would have been labeled better as the grand Cherokee EV replacement rather than the 4xE ones they have out now with only 20-30 mile range..
It will be interesting to see how it goes!

Everyone complaining about price, but it's cheaper than the luxury 2 row mid size evs it's going up against.
For just a few grand more you can get a Model X or Rivian R1s, the price for what you get just seems a bit high to me.
The color's nice. I can't get excited about Jeep products though.

If Jeep makes Electric vehicles as bad as they make gas vehicles this will breakdown all the time. Stelantis please sell Jeep to Honda so we can get a Jeep that will last! 🙏
I know that if I buy this car, it's going straight to the repair shop within 24 hours just like any other unreliable Jeep.

Why call it Wagoneer when it’s the size of the Grand Cherokee? What’s with the transmission tunnel in the second row ? It should not need that if it’s built as an all electric platform correct?
The platform will accept an ICE application as well but they haven't announced it yet. I'm not sure why they named a Cherokee sized vehicle Wagoneer.

@@dannyneal9713that’s my thoughts. I’m with everyone else in thinking this is more GC looking than Wagoneer. However, this must be another step to make Wagoneer their own brand. I was skeptical when Ram broke off to their own brand but it seemed to pan out (though I catch myself still calling it a Dodge Ram)
Finally ! I know Jeep are questionable in terms of reliability on their ICE models. Hopefully the BEV will save the day because I love the design. thanks for review Joe and Lory

No one can.. I mean, I love jeep and dodge but… an example, I saw a 2022 or 2023 charger scat pack msrp was in the $47-49k area.. with the additional $10k markup and few $1k+ for other accessories, this car easily had a price of mid to high $60k… like why?…
my wife had a 2023 Wagoneer as a rental when her Tahoe was having body work done and it felt cheap ....we both didn't like the Wagoneeer ...
