I went from a 2500 to a 3500 dually with a flatbed. I'll never own a single wheel truck again. The payload capacity and the flatbed is just so nice for actual work.
not to mention the stability you gain with the dual wheels when hauling 5th wheel or gooseneck with it makes it a no brainer for me.. I'll never go back for my hauling truck to single rears.. cuz I haul tall enclosed tailers and also flatbeds with equipment and I don't get that wheels coming off the ground feeling anymore going around the bends on the highways or the being pushed around sway you get in high winds feeling you get with a single wheel setup

I have a 07 lbz 3500 daully I’ve been build/driving. Bought it on auction for $2250 with side damage. Only option this truck doesn’t have is a sun roof. All repairs and new set of bfg k03s i have $6k in it. Has 295k miles on it now and runs strong. Had it since July and have put 10k miles on it already. Great driving truck In Texas so zero rust!
Wouldn’t do anything with that flatbed but sell it. Get a CM or pronghorn flatbed that is skirted. You’ll love it. It would really make that truck sharp

pretty sure the reason why it didn’t do a burnout is because of a boost leak, I have lb7 and it used to do the same thing. I tightened all the boots then it smoked the tires
Dont do it. At the end of the day you’re going to be dumping a lot more money into the dually than the silver truck. Plus you already went out and got a motor and trans for it and put in a decent amount of work
Keep doing what your doing get dually from Texas fix it up. Buy a 6.0 down here and covert to duramax. Sell the 6.0. 6.0 duallys are much cheaper here.

Trade for the dually but you get to swap the built trans you have for silver bullet into the dually, 300K on an LBZ is nothing but that Allison 6 speed is probably on its last leg if its not holding 2nd gear when your getten spicy, the bald eagles are singing your name out of that bed stack.
My Daully does the exact same thing you can’t do a burnout past 1st gear it does not have enough power to go to 2st gear. The Allison shifts slow and can’t keep the dual wheels spinning and that’s with a 150 horse tune and a Suncoast built Trans the truck is by no means stock

It's funny because I was going to buy a 2001 GMC 2500H with the LB7...that truck was sold before I got to the dealership..so the salesman tried to sell me a 2019 Chevy 3500 High Country dually with the L5P. 78K, but BEAT UP! I did test drive it, so I could say "I FINALLY drove a Duramax." Passed on it, walked away. But the next day I was back purchasing a very clean 2023 Chevy 2500 LT with the L5P. That was October 3rd. It's funny how things work out they way they do. Perhaps there's a reason why you were led to walking away from that LBZ Dually🤷♂️ Btw..I entered 😬

Home boy has obviously never done a burnout in a older duramax , they all do that on the 1 - 2 shift, it's violent but have to power through it
