I am headed to Vegas and San Diego this Friday for ten days. That is the closest I will get to Japanese food but it is more authentic than what I get around my place in NC. Can’t wait. Loved this one!

All that food looked so good except for the last. If I ever make it to Japan I have to get me some of those takoyak!!!! Those always look so good and fun to eat. The folks that make them like the street vendors it us amazes me how fast they from start to finish! Glad you all are OK I heard about the missle that flew over that beautiful country, very scary. Give me a few pints of lager and a bucket of that seaweed tempura, and I would be a very happy camper indeed..... however, the butter squid with guts turned my stomach just looking at it, so you defo took one for the team with that dish!
I like squid 🐙, never had it in butter nor did it smell fishy. Wonder if it had gone off and the butter was to mask it? Not as fond of octopus as squid, would like to try it with the greens and veggies. As always wonderful show about Japan.

You found a Takoyaki bar it different then the one I seen one travel it had mushroom in it 😀 i could not eat some thing that fishy unless I had a stronger drink or a friend with me. so I didn't suffer alone what if they picked the squid would it have been better I gotta pass on the guts no thank you 🤭 watch out for those promotional things on the on the menu but every thing eals you got look good 😁✌❤🍻
Don't know how I feel about a 'salad' of raw green bell peppers. I'm okay with a bit of bell pepper in with other ingredients, or cooked, but that much of it by itself would be too much for me I think.

I had homemade octopus soup this past weekend. It was fantastic. The octopus was so tender, it melted in my mouth. Yummy.

@@ericsurf6 all the Japanese places around me. Winston Salem NC , are more Americanized. Vegas and the west coast has more authentic cuisine.
