Eric: Chinese wood ear (木耳) or tree ear or tree jellyfish in Japanese (木鮓/ki kurage). FYI: some fusion Chinese restaurants do stir-fry Ocra with curry powder (Bhindi Masala style). There's nothing wrong with it. There's always a first for everyone.

Good content Eric. Looked delicious.
I cook okra with tomatoes, onions and curry powder. The okra is stir fried with the onions and curry powder, and then I add some chopped tomatoes to mellow it out. The acid in the tomato cuts down on the sliminess.
It all looked tasty and worth eating

the Japanese really do enjoy their potato salad, egg salad and tuna. I find it very interesting. Most restaurants or pubs would put potato salad on the side of a big burger with another salad. they do it a little bit differently

Quite a variety of dishes. Some are more of a success than others for my taste. The coffee jello likes like it would make a nice light dessert ... may make an espresso version for my post Christmas dinner dessert. Rum spiked cream as garnish. :)

Wasabi fried chicken sounds like a Japanese take on the spicy Nashville fried chicken. Really sounds delicious to me!
