Since it’s so good at crowd control, you can build the rest of the DRAK-25 for more single-target DPS, which is good for damage sponges like Oppressors, as you don’t want to waste your secondary on them. The electricity upgrade also allows you to slow down your enemies and spread **even more** damage-over-time effects! Sure we‘re not playing Driller here? The „Hot Feet“ upgrade in tier 3 allows you to run faster during your overheat duration. With Aggresive venting, you generally want to get really close to the swarm *just before* overheating for maximum value, and this upgrade allows you to get away much easier after using Aggressive Venting. The speed effect stays even when switching to another weapon, allowing you to make precise shots with your secondary without getting hit as much. *The Grenade:* The Pheromone Canister is one of the best grenades in the Scouts‘ arsenal already, and it synergizes with Aggressive Venting perfectly. This is more of a preference thing, though. *The Secondary:* Shaped Shells my beloved. Do you like Shotguns? Do you like Sniper Rifles? Would you like a Shotgun-Sniper Rifle? Aggressive Venting, and the DRAK-25 in general are Short-Range weapons; It’s finicky to hit important targets from far away with the DRAK-25 due to it being a non-hitscan weapon, unlike the scouts‘ other primary weapons, which means you have to lead your shots. So, we build our secondary to be our sniper instead, and boy does Shaped Shells deliver. The incendiary upgrade allows you to to finish setting large bugs like praetorians on fire that your Aggressive Venting might not have set ablaze in one go. The reduced spread also allows you to hit all of your incendiary shots easier, which is important for far away targets like Septic Spreaders. The Stun upgrade allows you to flat-out *disable* high priority targets entirely for a couple of seconds while they burn away due to your incendiary shots. Blow-through Rounds is more of a personal preference here: Shaped Shells has such a small spread that it’s easy to hit weakspots, meaning armor break isn’t needed as much here, and this upgrade allows it to double as an emergency crowd clear weapon while your DRAK-25 is cooling down. Two or more burning bugs In the middle of a swarm can spread fire pretty quickly. The Boomstick also benefits from your Drak-25’s hot feet as previously mentioned, allowing you to target the important bugs while running away from everything else with ease. This build has some amazing synergy between your Primary and Secondary; it allows you to fear enemy bugs, clear crowds, give your team some breathing room, revive & clutch, play fast, *and* take out high-priority targets as the Scout is supposed to do, all while being ammo-efficient. If this doesn’t convince you, I recommend giving the build a try *purely* for Shaped Shells; It‘s one of the most fun overclocks in the entire game imo. Rock and Stone!
Slight correction here: having actually gotten my PC back, I found I take the rate of fire increase on the DRAK-25 in tier one instead of the Projectile speed, and for the Boomstick I take the ammo mod in tier 1 instead of damage. Everything else is the same, and the gear modifications matter less for the overall build than the overlocks; both variations should perform the same since it’s only one modification each that’s different.
About the Karl stuff there is a voice line after drinking Smart stout where they talk about knowing where Karl is maybe that can go into the hole core theory on how he is alive also ROCK AND STONE!!
I think next season will be related to Karl if he got corrupted because the last seasons were ok bad thing starting then bad thing got out of hand like plaguefall to critical corruption
The escort mission 900iq strat: 1. Locate the pointy bit on the escort drilldozer, this is the direction you are going 2. Have a driller go in that direction, you'll find the caves with the terrain scanner. 3. Break the big fuel minerals off the walls by breaking the WALL its attatched to. Whole thing will chunk for easy collection 4. All this pre-drilling lets you pre-collect secondaries, nitra, and any minerals you want! Secret 5th: At the end of the mission, have one dward go back through the drill hallway to the beginning, have another wait at the boss room with molly. Call down the escape pod when the running dwarf makes it to the beginning, and the escape pod will land half-way between you two! This saves time for molly, that way you have to survive against any last minute bugs for HALF the time!
Scouts crossbow has some good crowd control utility. You should watch a tutorial but basically there are three special bolt types: Electric- put down two to make electric nodes Explosive-shoot a bug with one (ideally something low health like a grunt) and kill it, it will do an animation and then die in an explosion that damages nearby enemies Pheromone-works like scouts pheremone grenade but only on one target. It's useful to make enemies group up or to make enemies deal lots of damage against a higher health target
Actually, the reclaimers from rogue core sould not be some of the dwarves that worked for DRG, since at the end of this season's introduction assignment, mission control states that they finally understood that the deeper they go on hoxxess, the more riches they'll find, that implies they will start mining sites near hoxxess core, wich are the same ones that will suddenly go dark, and the reclaimers will find. So i don't think they'll give away some of their miners, i'm pretty sure they'll actually need more until something makes them all dissapear and the reclaimers will take the lead. Btw GSG stated hoxxes crawlers are native in hoxxes, they're not corrupted dwarves. 🪨

I like to think that Karl has gone full survivor and been using the bugs as food and weapons He might have gone slightly mad and now has forgotten about DRG and upper management. Would love a survival game where we play as Karl duting those first years of him being stranded.

Free text wall from a company veteran. Scout has two loadouts I'd say are good for swarm killing. One is the GK2's AI Stability Engine, which kills grunts in 2 hits and removes literally all recoil and inaccuracy from the gun. This is rather slow, though, so good luck if another wave spawns before you're done. The other is the Drak's version of Aggressive Venting, which rather than being what lesser games' communities do when you lose a mission, simply makes the gun explode on overheat, providing the lethal combination of fear and damage over time in the form of fire. This is much more dangerous, of course, seeing as it gets better the closer you are to all the melee enemies chasing you. Despite people disliking the scanning portion of Deep Scan (and some lying about patches making it easier? Dunno where they get that; it wasn't made easier aside from the long range scan getting an elevation indicator and I guess bug fixes if you count that), I find it almost too easy. While you can miss a crystal if you get that nitra-mining haze descending onto you, the real problem I find with Deep Scan is that you will find all 3 or 5 crystals, look at the scanner, and then over half of the cave is just not explored yet. People will then rush to start the drillevator anyways and you miss half the nitra and events that generated, which is a real disappointment. Also, there were 12 overclocks AND a reworked one. The Stubby got 2, basically. Cluster Missiles indeed competes with the best of the best for effectiveness and efficiency - the best of the bwst being sticky flames, minelayer, neurotoxin payload, and the new mortar rounds shot right up there too. And, like, carpet bomber and whatever the LOK-1 has. Gunner is unreal in terms of high performance. The only change to Escort Duty was the ommoran itself - the new phase and the randomizing of its previously present attacks. It does add much-needed variety, but the rest of the mission has always been as you described (including whatever the hell the pathing is like). Honestly, I hope we don't find Karl. It would be eerier not to know than to get an answer. This same theorizing happened for the Rivals. Certainly unsure what else to expect from Rogue Core, though. I don't think I want to repeat that phrase. It might summon something.
12:10 the new oc is different to the reworked one. It is hyperalloy assembly. Technically there are 12 new and 1 reworked. (Hyperalloy increases weak point damage and reduces spread in exchange for MASSIVE recoil)
I love the H5+ and the flexibilty it provides for the base game, the challenge is there for everyone as they prefer. I like droping and having to fight for my mission against huge swarms as success is not guaranteed even for experienced players. I personally don't enjoy vulnerability because you are punished extremely hard for receiving any damage whatsoever. I enjoy more bugs and more agressive and I find very doable as long as you keep the pace and have 80 nitra before the second swarm. For toughness you need high damage builds and it limits the builds flexibility. You gotta keep moving and kiting, like Karl would. I love this game and the range of challenge it offers. I enjoy chilling in Hazard 2 or 3 with greenbeards all the way up to H5+(+2 +0 +2 +2) with my bearded fellas. This game is just too much fun.
Molly taking a while to get back is intentional, it's like the minute and a half before the pod arrives on point extraction. Issue is, jet boots that never run out, trivializes fighting the grounded bugs.
That’s why I said “maybe it’s just me” because I understand there will always be the extraction time trust me I understand it. But I at least wish the drop pod spawned further away and Molly had a bit more speed to meet you there to be more like the other mission types. Because in its current state the drop pod is just waiting for you at the top of the hole 95% of the time and you just sit there doing nothing waiting for Molly. That’s my thought process.
@@KyjiKyji True. The pod tries to land far enough that it'd take Molly 2-3 minutes to arrive. But the jetboots are too fast. Maybe they need to be slowed down and then they add mactera to the spawn pool for the extraction swarm. So you partake in aerial combat.

I never had a problem with Molly. The drop pod always lands relatively close to the drillovator. So it takes about as long as any other mission that she’s in.
Problem isn’t the time it takes because every mission has that extraction time it makes sense, the problem is you sitting there doing nothing waiting for Molly to slowly climb up because the drop pod is so easy to reach.
I have my gaming pc broken for the time being so I was stuck without video games until it got fixed.... *thankfully* I too remembered that this game was 3gb large and downloaded it on an old laptop I had laying around Looks like a pirated copy of minecraft but has 45 frames all time and lets me play again with my friends God bless ghostship games for having made a game so easy to download and run that even having my mom's old laptop can't hold me back from having gaming nights with friends, Rock and Stone
Scout has double barrel OC for the shotgun which can do crowd control on at least Haz 5. I haven't tried 5+ because I am a little baby but it could work
13:20 IDK man, 770 rounds of high-explosive Daka on the heavy autocannon via the Carpet Bomber overclock has yet to let me down. Also, Yeetus Deletus, A.K.A. Hyper Propellant just CHUNKS healthbars, embedded detonators kills faster than enemies can spawn on haz 5 if you've got the skill, and the super mode that dumps the entire battery on engi's laser can MELT JUST ABOUT ANYTHING. And those are just my personal favorites; "best overclock" is subjective until you get down to theoretical damage numbers from AOE.

I love this game and the range of challenge it offers. I enjoy chilling in Hazard 2 or 3 with greenbeards all the way up to H5+(+2 +0 +2 +2) with my bearded fellas. This game is just too much fun.

Molly taking a while to get back is intentional, it's like the minute and a half before the pod arrives on point extraction.
Issue is, jet boots that never run out, trivializes fighting the grounded bugs.
That’s why I said “maybe it’s just me” because I understand there will always be the extraction time trust me I understand it. But I at least wish the drop pod spawned further away and Molly had a bit more speed to meet you there to be more like the other mission types. Because in its current state the drop pod is just waiting for you at the top of the hole 95% of the time and you just sit there doing nothing waiting for Molly. That’s my thought process.
@@KyjiKyji True. The pod tries to land far enough that it'd take Molly 2-3 minutes to arrive. But the jetboots are too fast.
Maybe they need to be slowed down and then they add mactera to the spawn pool for the extraction swarm. So you partake in aerial combat.

I never had a problem with Molly. The drop pod always lands relatively close to the drillovator. So it takes about as long as any other mission that she’s in.
Problem isn’t the time it takes because every mission has that extraction time it makes sense, the problem is you sitting there doing nothing waiting for Molly to slowly climb up because the drop pod is so easy to reach.
If Karl was evil, we would be screwed… It is said that he beat the dreadnought mother with his pick axe, so imagine him with the core power as well 💀

Scout has double barrel OC for the shotgun which can do crowd control on at least Haz 5. I haven't tried 5+ because I am a little baby but it could work
13:20 IDK man, 770 rounds of high-explosive Daka on the heavy autocannon via the Carpet Bomber overclock has yet to let me down. Also, Yeetus Deletus, A.K.A. Hyper Propellant just CHUNKS healthbars, embedded detonators kills faster than enemies can spawn on haz 5 if you've got the skill, and the super mode that dumps the entire battery on engi's laser can MELT JUST ABOUT ANYTHING. And those are just my personal favorites; "best overclock" is subjective until you get down to theoretical damage numbers from AOE.
