I have 68/69 achievements currently, and which one is missing... Yeah, it is practically impossible to get 4 random players to do this at the same time. I've tried many times and it is always the same: three dwarves are on top of a harvester and one doesn't read the chat and dies to a leech somewhere far away. Second hardest to me personally is by far the 100 solo missions. I like playing with other people, especially randoms, so I speedran this on a relatively easy Haz4 difficulty so I could just be done with it. I honestly don't think it is by any means a good achievement design, since this game is clearly primarily a co-op.
@@ThePhoenixScribe i think your talking about Drill-by shooting which is a lot easier. I'm talking about car pool which the description is "Ride a Silicate Harvester with three other dwarves and kill five enemies each without leaving." which is super hard because there is multiple factors and things that could go wrong.
carpool and if only i got paid for this was an absolute pain in the arse. @@DrDevvi You're missing something. 3000 points in less than 100 barrels. Each barrel is worth 10/25 points without a streak going. And it relies on a super janky goal that frequently teleports around and goes at unpredictable speeds sometimes. Outside of the all gold promotions and car pool achievement, that was the hardest one for me.
@@DrDevvi if you miss 20-ish barrels you're straight up not gonna get it, try landing 80 barrels consistently with the janky kick mechanic that sometimes sends barrels way too slow or too fast

It's also just really tedious and time consuming. Good job on your EDD miners! I'm sure you guys will get the achiement eventually😅 Ya'll are producing bangers haha💯
maybe ive just gotta improve on my skills. i remember a standard haz 5 mission being really hard but now i think they're pretty easy... depending on spawns though. it either feels like haz 3 now or absolute nightmare fuel depending on the spawns
@@DrDevvi I think some skill-building and some more playtime yeah. I feel you tho, haz 5 missions are either an easy 10 minute tour or an hour full of ptsd💀
" If only I was paid for this " is by a long shot the hardest. Being so good at the game you can solo elite deep dives doesnt prepare you to score 3000 points at the barrel kicking game without missing once. So everytime you kick the barrel, you gamble wether you will flush your score down the water or not. And you have to do it 30 times. In a row.
It's not if you miss, you just need to get it in under 100 kicks. If you've gotten 300 points by 10 kicks, you're good, same if you've gotten 600 by 20, after that you can allow yourself a little bit more leeway.
Very happy about a player ducky i believe who posted on reddit that for few hours he was inviting dwarfs to get this achievment and now i cheated my way trough this in 1 kick.
7x2 is a shortened term that means Hazard 7 (a modded difficulty that extrapolates hazard scaling to create a hazard 7) with 2 times as any enemies. The standard is 6x2, but some players enjoy the challenge of 7x2, and I’m pretty sure there’s a group of players running around that have done 9x2 missions. My friend and I do 7x2 Deep Dives and Elite Deep Dives. The EDD Devvi is doing in this video took us 23 hours total of attempts to do on 7x2.
Hardest Achievement is Carpool, because despite the generaly active chat and organisation, it is still impossible to find a sillicate harvester, explain the achievement to them all, get them all to stand on it with me, and then shoot bugs without falling off. Edit: Glad to see a lot of fellow dwarves share my pain with this one. Edit 2: To be fair, you picked a bloody difficult EDD to get this achievement on. Well played.
This EDD was a nightmare as a solo gunner. The refinery is in a pit that you have to dig out of with swarmers pestering you, and get way the hell up that cliff. But I did manage it. What broke me was the 10 Point Extraction mission, you're either in the pit or going up a cliff, and I just couldn't do it before the radiant swarms grew too large. I lucked out and got a decent group at the end of the week, but it was just a hard week.
Healing does not end the effects of iron will prematurely. You can (and should) power attack a grunt as soon as you get up. You are not treating slashers as a serious threat. If you see one getting close to you, do anything you can to avoid getting hit. If you do get hit, it should become your reflex to immediately pop dash to cancel the slowdown.
Honestly, i feel like you should space out your shots a bit more with the shotgun when shooting grunts. You will save a lot of ammo with hitting weakpoints. Also, for swarmageddon, the stubby specced for electrecution is quite good.. the last thing i would say is that you tunnel vision quite a bit. Always be aware of your environment in fights and make sure you have a getaway plan for when things get spicy so you don't get cornered. Edit: here is my build with shotgun and breach cutter. Shotgun: 12121 with magnetic pellet alignment. Breach cutter: 11113 with stronger plasma current ( the last tier is honestly up to preference for the cutter.)
I still say the hardest achievement to earn in drg is the barrel hoop achievement. I've gotten that elite deep dive achievement 20 times over. Have yet to break the 2,700 barrier on barrel hoops.
I'll have you know that the azure weald is one of the best biomes in drg. With EDD's, I would say the difficulty varies a LOT. There are some very easy ones, which are a complete breeze and nobody goes down, to a complete nightmare I have to restart and play at least 5 times before finishing it successfully. Mutators are often a key factor: macteras, no-shield and deadly enemies can be very difficult, where things like exploders, swarmageddon and leeches can be fairly trivial to an experienced team. I also play a lot with randoms, so the team's experience of course also matters highly.
I tried this EDD like a week ago solo, most painful two hours of my life and I died last second before making it to the drop pod on stage 3 because a bulk spawned right on my face
You younguns don't know, but back in 2021 there was the MOST cursed elite dive ever, with glacial strata egg hunt with all the eggs in the roof, a salvage mission mining level with elite mactera, and to finish it off, a point extraction with a dread where the minehead sat on a Cliffside with no walking paths up. Exactly people treat it like the BFG from doom when it's just... your secondary. It's a powerful weapon, all of engi's secondaries are, to make up for the lack of power in his primaries.

I agree somewhat, but yesterday me and my friend did an elite deep dive, both of us gunner with some random builds and somehow completed the EDD in under an hour with each only 1 death, either we got VERY lucky or this weeks EDD is different. The one we did isn't the one you displayed, me and my friends couldn't make it past the first mission.
12:12 You are actually using "Turret Whip"? I was assuming that you were using Minor Adjustments... Too bad even though you technically have it equipped, you aren't actually utilizing the Turret Whip.
I got so hyped see you two complete the EDD, legit on the edge of my chair, and when you said you went to check the achivement, I saw that you had a modded lobby and I was like "OH NOOOOO". If you have Approved mods on, it disables achievements.
Dreadnaughts have a very low chance of spawning on non-elimination missions so that is why one spawned in the second stage. Also "if only I got paid for this" is the hardest achievement in the game >:D
i only did an elite deep dive once and i almost did it but at the last mission we got jumpscared and backshot by a crassus bulk det and unfortunately died sad ending
It's a bit funny. I have about 120 hours in DRG now, only yesterday I got achievements for difficulty 5 (5 in a row + don't fall and don't call ammo), but I passed my first elite dive a week ago (on the first try). I just went to randoms and the three of us passed everything calmly (lucky that we all had the perks "iron will" and "medic")
EDD can be easier than DD sometimes , so yeah - hardest achievement its carpool. So some practice and you can doing EDD even in solo. And some builds and class are were good in it - for example im doing lots of solo edd by gunner Plus you can learn caves pattern in fail attempts to build your strategy Upd. I remember situation ,when i doing dd and edd in a row with guys, that never pass usual dd ever before. Thats was fun
When you see the (modded) sign next to your nickname in the upper right corner, achievements are not counting. Turn off all unapproved mods, and you're good. Besides, it's a great run. It was really hard. Without proper teamwork, it was just a one-way trip.
u get both of those passively by just playing the game. morkite/egg collection are easier solo anyways. promotion is hard only if u actively avoid playing some classes.
About to watch the video and guessing it's carpool. Getting 4 people onto a creature you can't climb and are at the mercy of it going up a wall WHILE getting 5 kills each person is tough. Because it's that and the 100 lone missions one that I've got left. Calling it and will edit my response for my answer. Edit: the elite deep dive, while taking me 10 different goes, at least got done in a week. I see why it'd be considered as the hardest, though. But you try getting 4 dwarves on a vertical climbing space cow with the bug apocalypse.
It's carpool, its bugged meaning you can meet the requirements for it but won't get the achievement (I had several attempts where someone else would get the achievement but I would not despite it being a group achievement for everyone killing a certain amount each). An EDD is consistent if you're good at the game while you have to actively fight the jank of the achievement for carpool.
Idk if it is just me but the first time I did an elite deep dive I won, also my team all had 1 promo classes so nobody was carrying or was being carried.
I had to go through a haunted cave mission on a regular deep dive the week before. Would not recommend; took me almost an hour. it was on stage 2, and stage 3 of the deep dive (had elite threat) was FAR easier.
@@DrDevvi i tried it several times with my strongest setups that I'm handy with Short mining expedition with dark morkite buff. Always died due to a stupid mistake or even getting stuck on the escape pod Will have to train again today though
Karl would be proud becomes easy if you play scout with good swarm clear on point extraction. Ignore secondaries and just focus on aquarqs. Could even get rocky mountain brew if you really feel you need it. With the right combination it becomes an easy achievement though.
Imo hardest one is without a paddle, having no ammo in either of your weapons whilst being the only one alive and having a dreadnought spawn, i can count on 1 hand the number of dreadnought spawns ive had in 850 hours let alone trying to meet the other criteria too
why the achievement is locked you mean? it think its because I forgot to disable one of my mods, I play with miracles more mutators cause it ads a lot of fun to the game
Elite Deep Dives are not as hard as people think they are. Yeah they can be difficult, but they’re not so difficult that I couldn’t do one on my 3rd attempt as a semi-greenbeard (well not greenbeard, but not graybeard either) and whilst commenting over the whole thing because I streamed it. I still think “Karl Would Be Proud” is the most difficult one, since even a short egg hunt or mining expedition without resupps are quite difficult.
for some reason i found karl would be proud quite easy, maybe i just got lucky but i did it on a mining mission and all the morkite was pretty easy to find
@@DrDevvi it took my friend 3 days to complete, and my personal best is 1000 points in 50 barrels (i accidently clicked the reset button after 50 barrels)
@@DrDevvi from watching you, I feel like your main issues are experience. You take a few secs to shoot a platform, you don't reflexively throw shredders when you hear sound ques that mean a swarm is near. I'd practice putting down sentries more often, and don't be afraid to throw shredders when you get in a pinch. It's true, its better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it, but its even worse to need it, and not use it. I'd also reccomend switching your primary swarm clear away from the breach cutter and to something like ECR loki, more ammo, and better swarm clear. I usually run it with overdrive booster shard defrac, so if there's a high HP enemy that could be a problem, i can deal with them really quickly and get back to farming plebs Best of luck, and Rock and Stone
Brother, the hardest achievement is the rarest one. The one where you have to be in full team, all of you have to ride the silicon extractor and everyone have to kill 5 bugs while riding it. Elite deep dive not too hard to beat actually. If you managed to complete 5 different missions in a roll on 5 haz difficulty you should be able to complete deep dive. Just pick the right build to deal with big boys such as opressors and dreadnoughts as well as be able to clear the swarms.
Yeah I get where you're coming from. In my experience tho I didn't find any of the other achievements particularly difficult. I've only ever struggled with EDDs. Maybe I've just gotten lucky on most of my other missions, but that's just how I felt about it I guess

you're probably right but it feels to wasteful doing 700+ damage to something that has like 20 health
@@DrDevvi Not wasteful if you aren't dead. Breach's main draw is its crowd clear rather than raw damage on single targets. It just sweeps away everything in front of you. Dumping multiple shots into one big enemy with it is the bigger waste, but it's not too terrible of a thing to do if you really need to chunk a big thing down ASAP.
Exactly people treat it like the BFG from doom when it's just... your secondary. It's a powerful weapon, all of engi's secondaries are, to make up for the lack of power in his primaries.
@@Mazer2721i can see why you say that but ive seen my buddy three shot a detonator with it lmfao, that thing is the most versatile weapon in the game, crowd clearer? Check, big enemy killer? Check, boss killer? Check, it does everything very well and only has one single downside, the ammo count lmfao
I agree somewhat, but yesterday me and my friend did an elite deep dive, both of us gunner with some random builds and somehow completed the EDD in under an hour with each only 1 death, either we got VERY lucky or this weeks EDD is different. The one we did isn't the one you displayed, me and my friends couldn't make it past the first mission.
you tried this EDD too? The swarmers on the first stage sucked! trying to build pipelines while dealing with swarmers is NOT fun
I recommend using MK.II sentry with hawkeye if you are having problems with swarmers, the turret has massive range and 360 degree vision
honestly never even tried the hawkeye system, maybe i should try it at least once
That 1st map on that elite dive was such a pain with those swarmers!! :D
Yep! I should have run the stubby sooner
Congrats! And the build that you used for the last one is one of my favorites for the Engineer
thanks! and yeah im really liking that build, I might have to run it more often
car pool sitting on top with mere 0.9% completion for a reason...
only trully dedicated perfectionist will go for that
You guys did amazing! ❤️❤️
I think we did amazing too for a bunch of rookies
EDD is just a step in boy's evolution to man.
Hardest achievement is Self Control
Have no idea how there are 37.7% players who got it
I can't bring myself to not kick them tbh
@@DrDevvi btw you guys plan on doing something like 1x64? (Haz 1 with 64x more bugs)?
Should be hella fun to film/watch
used to play with a bunch of friends who just kicked them around at all time while i watched their shenanigans.
bro forgot barrel game achievement
Actually, the hardest achievement is Lars killing a lootbug, placing both turrets, and using all 4 shredders in a mission
Dwarves were harmed in the making of this video
Dreadnaughts have a very low chance of spawning on non-elimination missions so that is why one spawned in the second stage. Also "if only I got paid for this" is the hardest achievement in the game >:D
that dreadnought was the one in the egg though i thought, cause after we killed it the objective cleared
i only did an elite deep dive once and i almost did it but at the last mission we got jumpscared and backshot by a crassus bulk det and unfortunately died
sad ending
thats a massive sad moment
no. you're wrong. sorry. dead wrong. car pool. by a country mile.
I completed an elite deep dive on my first attempt and after only playing 3 regular ones while having less that 30h of playtime
EDD can be easier than DD sometimes , so yeah - hardest achievement its carpool. So some practice and you can doing EDD even in solo. And some builds and class are were good in it - for example im doing lots of solo edd by gunner
Plus you can learn caves pattern in fail attempts to build your strategy
Upd. I remember situation ,when i doing dd and edd in a row with guys, that never pass usual dd ever before. Thats was fun
yeah I feel like if I practice more I should be able to do EDDs easier, I just need to learn to use my class efficiently so im not wasting ammo
I broke my controller over last weeks EDD. They are not for the faint of heart or anyone with anger problems 😂
lmao, EDDs take a long time for me too
@DrDevvi 1h and 35 mins wasted. Actually I did it twice so like 3h 5mins wasted!
The worst map is fungus bogs.
I tried "Outrageous Hope" for my Elite Deep Dive achievement.. Utter insanity, so difficult. hella fun though!
i dont think ive tried that
@@DrDevvi That's the codename of the deep dive in this video! Already this weeks Deep Dive seems somewhat easier!
@@Zantor I keep forgetting DDs have codenames. I don't know if I'm ready yet for another deep dive lmao
When you see the (modded) sign next to your nickname in the upper right corner, achievements are not counting. Turn off all unapproved mods, and you're good.
Besides, it's a great run. It was really hard. Without proper teamwork, it was just a one-way trip.
I had a single verified mod and that ruined everything 😢
hey man i dont even play deep rock galactic but im really hooked on your videos, i might get it but keep up the great work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
woo! im glad you enjoy it! the games for sure worth it if you have friends, still can be fun solo though
wait till he sees solo EDD footage
Promotion all dwarfs to gold and 100 solo missions: we do not exist
u get both of those passively by just playing the game. morkite/egg collection are easier solo anyways. promotion is hard only if u actively avoid playing some classes.
ur vids are fire
thanks im glad you enjoy them!
630+ hours in game, gunner main, done 1 elite deep dive, got an achievement on 1st try, never played it after….
i feel like completing an elite deep dive just out of spite
do it i dare you
About to watch the video and guessing it's carpool.
But you try getting 4 dwarves on a vertical climbing space cow with the bug apocalypse.
hardest achievement is self control
the urge to kick barrels is strong
that's true actually. i cant not kick them
It's carpool, its bugged meaning you can meet the requirements for it but won't get the achievement (I had several attempts where someone else would get the achievement but I would not despite it being a group achievement for everyone killing a certain amount each). An EDD is consistent if you're good at the game while you have to actively fight the jank of the achievement for carpool.
id be so upset not getting carpool to a bug. I still haven't attempted it yet, seems like it would just take too long to pull off
Idk if it is just me but the first time I did an elite deep dive I won, also my team all had 1 promo classes so nobody was carrying or was being carried.
WHY DOES DRILLER WITH EYES HAUNT ME
good, he haunts me too
Ayyyyy he did the thing
I had to go through a haunted cave mission on a regular deep dive the week before. Would not recommend; took me almost an hour. it was on stage 2, and stage 3 of the deep dive (had elite threat) was FAR easier.
damn. haunted caves SUCK
For me personally, its bewildering how EDD can be harder than "Karl would be proud" or "Car pool"
Got 600hrs and have neither, but done dozens of EDDs
i did karl would be proud very easily. if you pick an easy mission with good mutators you can sorta cheese the achievement. edd is pre determined
@@DrDevvi i tried it several times with my strongest setups that I'm handy with
Short mining expedition with dark morkite buff. Always died due to a stupid mistake or even getting stuck on the escape pod
Will have to train again today though
Karl would be proud becomes easy if you play scout with good swarm clear on point extraction. Ignore secondaries and just focus on aquarqs. Could even get rocky mountain brew if you really feel you need it. With the right combination it becomes an easy achievement though.
Imo hardest one is without a paddle, having no ammo in either of your weapons whilst being the only one alive and having a dreadnought spawn, i can count on 1 hand the number of dreadnought spawns ive had in 850 hours let alone trying to meet the other criteria too
Idk If you guys coop much but in the end You guys are true friends:)
Lmao there's the occasional abuse but I promise we're friends
This morning I watched a dude solo an elite deep dive in a a speed run and it was ez
Do you know why is it locked down?
why the achievement is locked you mean? it think its because I forgot to disable one of my mods, I play with miracles more mutators cause it ads a lot of fun to the game
As someone who has almost 1k hours on DRG, The hardest BY FAR is the barrel game one.
Jesus christ the barrel game one
Get 3000 points in the barrel game under 100 kicks...
I got the achievement for completing a deep dive in under 45 mins while doing an elite one
I got really lucky on the team
not more challenging than that ludicrous barrel kick achievement where you need 3000 points in 100 kicks.
I haven't tried it yet. Not sure if I should lol
@@DrDevvi i haven't gotten it yet. its kind of ridiculous haha. i would not recommend it unless you really want the achievement.
@@veronicatherabbit yeah I think I'm OK with just NOT having that achievement
If only i got paid for this was honestly fun for me, car pool still dont have it
Karl would be proud is def harder to achieve but carpool is painful and you need friends
u should try an EDD but 20 player, also passive aggressive mission control is worth a try :)))
ive tried that mod in one of my meme mods videos. its a lot of fun

@@DrDevvi it took my friend 3 days to complete, and my personal best is 1000 points in 50 barrels (i accidently clicked the reset button after 50 barrels)
Just give the achievement 24 hours to show up. Happened to me with the roller coaster achievement.
i hope you're right
Elite Deep Depression. Big sadge.
this is a very accurate name for this video
I ran my first EDD as soon as i got promoted. I did this last EDD solo, you guys just have a skill issue
rip. skill issue confirmed
I usually run it with overdrive booster shard defrac, so if there's a high HP enemy that could be a problem, i can deal with them really quickly and get back to farming plebs
Best of luck, and Rock and Stone

Hard elite deep dive is 45 min win get hard, that achievement
Bro my highest promotion is copper 2 and i had it
dang im on my first promotion tier too, I gotta upgrade soon though. I wanna get to silver!
The hardest challenge is having 4 friends
Like in DRG or Irl... Cause sameeeee
Not having a scout definitely made it harder
It’s easy you just have to be blessed with a good team easy right……RIGHT?
The hardest for me is the barrel game, it's the only achievement I have left :(
I havent even tried it yet tbh
seems like it could be hard though
Funny how few days ago i got the achievment on my first attempt lmao.
Pretty sure you didn't get it because your game was modded at the time.
The hardest achievement in drg is obviously to make it not fun, which is absolutely impossible
thats for surt the hardest
Honestly the hardest one is the supid barrel hoop game.
LOL just watched it to the end, you had (modded) after your name, perhaps you used non-verified mods, that's why achievement didn't pop, turn them off and then try again for the achievement!!!
the only mods i run are verified. I thought it had to be sandbox for achievements to not count... or do approved mods also turn off achievements?
i just checked, i have the miracles more mutators mod enabled. I use it cause it adds new mutators to the game but its approved not verified. that must be it
