@Greg Rager. Hi. Like your videos. :-) My wife just bought me a brand-new 2018 Voyager that was still at the dealer. :-) Same color as yours. I wanted to offer a helpful hint for future add-ons. In the owner's manual is a description of 2 additional power-points on the 'bike. These power-points are switched on/off by the ignition circuit, so there isn't a concern of draining the battery. One is under the seats, and the other is under the fairing, below the radio/next to the Navigation wiring. This location is also shown on page #100 of the Owner's manual. So, if you want to use your cigarette lighter plug for something else, you could use the other power-point inside the fairing for switched power. Stay safe. Ride well. Keep up the great videos. :-)

Thanks for the comment, I have already used both those other videos. I have an air horn on there I used the one at the column for and pulled my cameras off of the one under the seat. They are great for adding them, makes life easier. Not sure which video now but I added a dual USB and a switch on the inside of the fairing for the led lights. I pulled both off of key ons. Anyhow thanks for the comments glad you enjoyed.

I have an iPod adapter I got off eBay. It did not come with the foam cushion. How can I get one of those?

I put the same item in my bike, however I'd like to put some waterproofing strips in both of the locking compartments. Did you do this on your Voyager? If you did what material did you use and how did you attach it to the lids?
    Thanks

I did not seal the compartments, I really don't ride much in the rain. Very rarely get caught out in it so I didn't need to . If you look at the following link, I would probably use something like this. You may have to get a tape measure and check the edge of the door, but that is about 1/4" high and a little wider than that. I'm sure they have similar but smaller. Thanks for watching.

The 2018 I did not have to change anything. But that being said an "iPod" adapter in 2018 was already outdated so they have probably upgraded to a newer cable. 30 pin to usb adapter is also available on Amazon for about 15.00. www.amazon.com/Apple-30-pin-to-USB-Cable/dp/B00H7GWBVQ/ref=sr_1_3?crid=26L74DQKZSHGI&keywords=30+pin+to+usb+adapter&qid=1656334847&sprefix=30+pin+to+usb+adapter%2Caps%2C66&sr=8-3 Thanks for watching, hope that works out.

Good luck with the aftermarket ipod adapter... I bought & installed one which failed within 6 months. I got frustrated and went to the audio jack.

Marc McInnis Had mine for about a year now no issues. Not sure If because I mounted it under the cowl and more protected than the box, may have got a good one or maybe you got a dud. They are really designed to be inside a car not exposed to elements on a bike so maybe you’re driving conditions like cold hot or humid also may contribute the lifespan. I’m ideally a good weather only rider bike kept in climate control garage. Either way thanks for the input, and thanks for watching.

Where did you get the cable for the Bluetooth adapter?

I had got it from the Dealer at the time but they may be discontinued. The model is a K10400-040 Ipod Adapter Kit.

You may have to get on eBay and watch for one or find a different system that will work. 2 years later this one still functioning like new, so seems to be reliable at least. Thanks for watching.

I got mine from bikebandit.com Part number is k10400-040. There’s also a k10400-041 That just has a 3.5 mm, in case you want to do something different. Thanks for watching hope that helps.

Anyone knows where can I buy an adapter between the dated connectors that come with the 2023 vaquero to a 30 pin bluetooth connector ?.
It’s freaking unbelievable that Kawasaki stopped offering this adapter while they continue to release the newest model with garbage 1990’s connectors.
    Thanks

Unfortunately no, I think they discontinued that part the year I bought my 18, and like you said was already obsolete even then. Had to buy another obsolete Bluetooth adapter to make it work. There are a couple of online lesser known companies that still have it listed, but my guess if you order it you will never get it because the companies do not exist or they just can't get the part. Best bet is go to eBay and put it on a watch list to get an email if someone lists.

Sorry for the delay, been swamped at work. No there are no "meta tags" that carry to the radio and they hand controls do not change the station you can just cast your music to it and change with your phone. The only way I know of to get the controls to work is use the Kawasaki harness with an older style iPhone or iPad but I have not seen a harness yet with a lightning cable adapter. 2020 you would think Kawasaki would just put in a bluetooth radio. Anyhow thanks for watching.
