Thank you for making this video, been looking for an affordable microscope as I start my engraving journey and I’ve heard good things about amscope on forums but didn’t have anyone upload a video who makes great work speak of it.
The only sharpies that dont wipe off metal easily are the induatrial ones. Regular sharpies still smuch off pretty easily. I usually draw my design and they spray a fixative over it so it does wipe off on me while i work. Ive been doing engraving with micromotors and just got my pnumatic engraving setup in today, still waiting for the compressor and then its off the the races.
Question. Why did you go with the grs engraver instead lindsay' engraver.? Just wanted to know because i am trying to buy either one and want to know how you decided
great video, but thinking about the 2.5 vs 1.5 barlow lenses, the 2.5 would mainly be used as an 'inspection' lens, once done, or to check on quality of the cutting, NOT for general work, this would be provided as they don't know what this is going to be used for, and mostly these are used in factories for inspecting soldering joints, or other QC tasks, the lower powered one is the one for using it for cutting, or sharpening gravers, etc. as it offers the right working distance.
Awesome video! Thank you for sharing your set up. On your filters and water separator are using 1/4” NPT or 1/8”. Thanks again, I’m enjoying your channel and your insight to engraving. Cheers!
You do great work...comparable to someone with years of experience. I would like to know how much you have invested in the basic tools needed to start? Thank you. Roland, Texas
After using the Graversmith for a while, are there any features that you really wish it had that the more expensive models come with? I'm looking to upgrade my system, and the Graversmith is a really attractive option, but I'd hate to kick myself a year or two down the road for not saving longer for something like the Gravermax G8. I don't foresee myself needing anything more than the Graversmith offers, but I thought it better to ask someone with some time with the machine.
Great info! I don’t think anything is overkill when you’re using a $1-2K engraver at the end of that line. Perhaps the filter on the Graversmith is adequate but so is my front doorknob lock and I still use a deadbolt. ;) Thank you for this detailed video! It’s exactly what I needed as I get ready to buy my GRS set up.
Thank you so much my friend you're very kind and showing your tools and equipment
Seeing McMaster-Carr links instead of amazon-affiliate-linked garbage warms my shriveled cynical heart. Thanks for the knowledge, subscribed!
No such thing as overkill. You’ve got a nice setup. Keep the content coming but definitely don’t burn yourself out.
Appreciate you taking the time to show us this
Hey, just wanted you to know you're doing great; and encourage you to continue. I bought myself a scribe and I'm having a lot of fun.

Оборудование класс 👍 , но вот диск под шарногель плохой , .
Do you by chance have an estimated idea on how much it’d cost to get into engraving?
Look at the description. He has everything itemized there.
