What I remember most about this particular game was the voices of Bob Martin and Larry Zimmer. I tired of Merlin and Enberg early in the contest and went with Radio 85 KOA, Denver's flagship station since dirt was mud. After Mr. Martin passed away, didn't realize how special his work was on this game. I can't think about this game in my head and heart without hearing Bob Martin. Yes, it was a great moment in Broncos history, and it was dramatic; but, the key ingredient to the entire mix was Bob Martin's voice and inflection and tone. He really knew how to set the table with his description of the play, the players, the venue, and the outcome. RIP Mr. Martin.
Watch this in a hotel in São Paulo Brazil with my brother ,everyone was pulling for the Browns ,everyone except me and my brother!Suddenly a beautiful girl asked us why are rooting for Denver ,we’re from Texas and answered simultaneously we REMEMBER 1968 and 1969 ,we NEVER forgave Cleveland for whipping us twice in the playoffs
Fun fact I completely made up right now, Marty Schottenheimer went on to find the gleam. When he wrote, produced and directed Gleaming the Cube starring Christian Slater and Tony Hawk and the Bones Brigade.
There has NEVER been a better sports radio broadcast team than Martin and Zimmer. Turning off the losers on the TV, such as Merlin Olson and Dick Enberg, and listening to Martin and Zimmer made every game worth listening to, regardless of the score.
@thegregariousrecluse, While I've never heard of Denver's local radio team back then, it is more than a bit obtuse to crap on Enberg & Olsen, as they were among the finest of any period.
How the coaches look like brothers??? I was almost 7 when this game happened. Still remember watching it and my little 6yo brain was so confused why Marty Schottenheimer was coaching both teams.🤣
Am i the only clevelander? Well, i violently vomited after this game. I was 30. We WERE the better team man for man, except ELWAY. Same in B ball. Better team, except JORDAN.
That game made me cry when Elway drove 98 yards to tie the game @ 20-20.

That look of the Browns fan wearing the helmet at 54:02 it was “Oh no we are deep, deep trouble.”
I thought it was a player for Cleveland

Who tells people “let’s get the gleam.”? One of the weirdest things I have ever heard.
There’s a gleam of hope
@12:36 wtf is he talking about? He tripped over his own dayum teammate
