    I really really really appreciate your update vids. I've watched you since literally the first vid at month 0 when you first started T, and it has really helped me with my own contemplations of starting T.
    The way you explained your sentiments about gender and identity resonate a lot with my own experiences of gender. Especially the notion of not expressly disliking certain things about your body, name, and identity sometimes, but also feeling like the days where you do feel negatively about then continue to stack up, weighing you down until you feel ready to take the big step, jump in headfirst, accept the unknown, and embrace who you will become through it.

      Wow, month 0! I've changed so much since then haha. Paying attention to when the bad starts to outweigh the good is advice that my therapist gave me once, and it helps me especially when I look to other trans people who seem super confident and sure of their identity. It reminds me that there's nothing wrong with me, that I don't need to be more certain, and that more important is that I'm embracing the nuance of feelings and striving for comfort.

    I'm so happy to see you've made a new video! Thank you - I've been awaiting it eagerly. You have a really beautiful honesty and self awareness about you when you speak about your identity and the things you're feeling. I like how comfortable you seem in the uncertain places... it makes me feel like it's OK to exist there, that I just need to check in and tune into myself and the rest will come in its own time. I'm glad you're feeling happy at the moment. Thanks again

      Yes! There's so much value in taking things slow and being present with what you're feeling. I try not to have many expectations when I can, and with T that's allowed me to care for the process more deeply. Thanks for your kind words :)

    Yay update! I’m approaching my year mark for starting T and everything you’ve said about losing higher range is how I’ve felt as well. Always so nice to hear a relatable experience with T, thank you again for sharing these parts of your journey! I’d love to hear the way you practiced for your higher range if you ever have a chance.

      Congrats on one year :) The way I practice for higher range is super simple--I just use my keyboard (or other musical instrument) and start in the middle of my range and play up the scale matching my voice to the notes. Maybe I'll demonstrate sometime--though I'm not super confident with my singing! I also find that just singing a lot (especially songs that are just at the top of my range) helps too.

    How old will you be on your next birthday? Do you use any other prescription drugs for anxiety or depression?

    • @jonahradeke

      I'll be 27 in less than a month. And nope, I don't take any medication for anxiety or depression! The only prescription I'm on is for T.

    If you want to share, what dose of T are you on? And also, have you been worried about hairloss or male pattern baldness? Do you maybe take anything for it? (minoxidil/finasteride)

    • @jonahradeke
      @jonahradeke  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I take 0.3 mL of testosterone cypionate (200 mg/mL) weekly. No, so far I haven't been worried about hair loss, and I don't take anything for it. I think I have pretty good genetics when it comes to hair, so it's never been a concern for me!

      @@jonahradeke what T levels does that put you at? I’m 4.5 months on a low dose gel. My latest t levels were 211, and I’m considering upping it due to energy levels but don’t want things to move too fast.
      Your videos have really helped me through this process because we have had a similar relationship to T so far. So thanks for keeping this up!!

      Sorry this is so late! Now I'm on 0.4 mL weekly, and my last T levels were 614 at the beginning of March.
