Hi Noah, I'm a cis older gay man, and I watch your channel to learn more about trans issues and challenges. I've done a lot of volunteer work in LGBTQ non-profits over the years and worked with trans men and women. But I never felt like I understood their personal challenges and so I wanted to educate myself. I enjoy watching you because I relate to your sense of humor and that you're a very grounded and self-aware guy. Anyway I thought I'd share my testosterone experience hoping you might find it helpful. I had low testosterone and so I started using the daily gel. The gel worked well. It is another thing you have to do every morning, but you have that 4 hour window where you can't do anything that might cause you to sweat or wash it off like swimming. Then my doctor changed me to the pellets that they put under your skin every 3 months. I didn't like the implanted pellets. You get that drop in T for a week to ten days before your due for new implants. Obviously I take less T then you, but I'm currently on weekly self injections with a short needle so I'm not getting the scar tissue. The weekly injection pen works best for me. So good luck to you!
@Cam Morrison What?? Do you mean? Am I misunderstanding or? Cis men can have low testosterone and need to take testosterone to correct it. Just google it bro. He probably isn't lying lmao
@Cam Morrison, since you don't know me, your uninformed opinion is worth less than anything president trump says! If it wasn't for me and my generation, as well as those that fought before me, Noah wouldn't have a channel, or any civil rights, or medical care to make his transition possible. But bullies like you are entitled to nothing.

I’m a straight cis male who lives in a conservative town and I’m watching these vids to educate myself. It’s cool to be able to learn directly from someone who has the first-hand experience.
I literally emailed my doctor immediately after watching this if I could switch from learning to self inject next month ( to limit exposure to COVID) to taking gel and she said YES SO THANK YOU
I'm not on T but I do have to do insulin bc of type 1 diabetes, I can relate to the scar tissue issue (haha it rhymes) in the future I wanna go on a low dose of the gel I think
eiley j I am a fellow type 1 who wants to hopefully take t in the future but I worry with it being a hormone it’ll make my levels very inconsistent (even more so than normal 😂) :/
When I get to finally have testosterone I plan on getting gel because I have a terrible fear of shots and I don't think I would ever be able to stab my leg every week.
i've been on t for 7 months doing needles and i only started on shots bc i wanted a higher dose, i was originally planning on doing gel. the shots aren't as bad as you think they would be. i have to do mine every week. it's your choice but i was so worried about doing shots and it was never as bad as i thought it would be, it's gotten a lot better than when i started
@@rubenmorais1249 yeah, im on gel and i find and feel its best if you have mood up and down daily/ have depression or other mood disorders. Thats what my gender care doctor said was best because of my mood being up and down so frequently day to day as well as having depression and anxiety. Also its my 4 months on testosterone. Woop! 🎉
so weird that this showed up in my recommended right now, ive been having the same exact issues with my T shots and am highly considering switching to gel around 1 year on T (im about 9 months now) hoping it works out for you !!! would appreciate updates as well to maybe help with my own decision making !
Hi I'm from Germany and we have mainly two types of Testosterone: Gel and Injections. We have different types of injections. 1000mg which you get every three month, one, which you get every two weeks and one you get every 4 weeks I started with Gel for half a year and then I started with injections every 11 weeks (about 3 month). I like injections more than the gel, but both do exactly the same: they let you get your puberty. Here in Germany, many doctors recommend starting with gel to get used your body to testosterone, and than later getting the injections
I'm also from Germany so thanks for the comment... because I'm not on t just yet.... probably this summer I don't want to get gel and hope it will be fine with the doctor and get any type of injections... even though I'm scared as hell because of the needles.... but my current lifestyle would not be the best for using gel and also I'm not the best in remembering to use it every day anyways... so I hope for the injections...
Sam91 You can start with injections as well! Actually, I only now people (myself included 😁) who started with injections, mainly with Nebido. It probably depends on what your endocrinologist prefers, but I believe that asking him could go a long way 👌
I did shots for almost my whole first year of being on t and just like your experience I hated it. Last month I tried pellets and it did not go well for me. Over the course of a month they fully rejected and floated up through my skin and I had to get them removed and when they were removed my doctor said he was so shocked because 1) he had never seen this happen before and 2) the pellets never dissolved even a bit and they should have been dissolved at least half size. But because they didn't dissolve, that meant I was accidentally off of testosterone for a month without knowing it. Now on back on shots for a few months and we may or may not try again with the pellets in june.
Its your body's natural defense fighting against foriegn substances and materials that don't belong.. Maybe you should listen to what your body is telling you, women don't belong on a male levels of testosterone. Stop fighting biology.
@@NOAHFINNCE I'm apart of a gender study program and in this specific program they really refuse to do gel until you are at perfect levels because it is apparently harder for them to monitor the level when its gel instead of shots or pellets. There is also a patch that I am looking into.
@@cortneycline3619 literally fuck off? I'm just trying to live my best life and I couldn't give 2 shits what you have to say about it, go on and live your boring life and let me live mine

I was on injections for about a year and I had to switch to gel because the farmacies in Spain stopped selling the shots for some time. Best thing I’ve ever done for myself is sticking to the gel. It’s made a HUGE difference. All of the inconveniences you’ve described about shots are so real and I was experiencing them and though it wasn’t a big deal. Now that I’m on the gel I don’t get any ups and downs and my levels are perfect :) Also I was afraid I would see less of the effects of testosterone when going on gel but that’s a myth. I’ve been growing more and more facial hair and my voice just keeps getting deeper.
hey, noah. i live in the US and i take injections biweekly because i’m on a higher dose than normal bc my dysphoria is really bad. i’ll have been on t for four months this month. i also experience “low” weeks and my mental health seems to plummet until i can take my next shot too. i used to be REALLY tired all the time too, like you said, but for me, after three months or so, i guess my body kind of,,, got used to the low weeks, or maybe i’m just happier as the months go by because i’m getting further into my transition, i don’t really know?? but yeah. i can definitely understand why you would have to change the type of t you take. i have depression and anxiety too and those low weeks are just,,, not it. good luck mate x
Slava Gorbunov thanks 🤣 a tad bit better. I’m named after my grandma and her grandma (as it goes in bulgaria and I’m sure every Slavic country). Literally never met another female with my name 😩 Ive met stanislavas before, but never plain ol slava’s 🤧
hey dude i use the gel at the moment, i put it on my thighs, wash my hands afterwars. also the smell goes away after 30 seconds. ive had no problems at all
Thats AWESOME that you're finally able to switch to a different type of T. The minute i saw the title i was hoping thats what it was . Ive followed you for a while and watched your ups and downs and i even left comments suggested switching to a diff. type before but i remember i think you said it had something to do with insurance only covering the standard shots (stupid medical industry. i know how that is with my own issues with insurance NOT covering the drug that would actually work for you and only covering like the shitty generic substitutes, etc) It must have SUCKED to have to go through those Ups-and-Downs like that for so long. Having your hormones go up and down like that constantly just makes you feel weird and icky. I'm nonbinary ,I dont take anything for that specifally but I also have endometriosis and concurrent hormone issues that go with it where they were just all over the place for years. I take hormone blockers now on the daily and just blocking my hormones completely has been freaking amazing for my physical health but also my mental health. the pain of endo was bad enough to deal with but the up and down mental stuff and wanting to claw myself out of my own skin feeling is gone as well. hormones are nuts. glad you're gettin' yours sorted FINALLY! its been a long time coming and hope this works a LOT better for you!
"it sounds pathetic, it's just a hormone" As a gay Cis woman, I take hormones daily to help balance myself out (IK its not T and it may be different) but many people take hormones daily, AND WE GET IT ❤️ It can be quite a journey to pick which birth control works best with your body, and I'm sure its a similar situation with anyone who is trans and on hormones. For anyone struggling with this, it sucks, we understand the struggle and know that it might feel like its taking forever, but you will eventually find what is right for you ❤️
in my experience, the first time you use gel the alcohol smell is really overwhelming, but I've personally not had any problems with it drying up weirdly or crusty or whatever. haven't been on shots but I feel like I would definitely prefer gel over shots since I'm not a very big fan of needles. hope the gel works for you!
I had the choice to do my injection once a week or once every 2 weeks. I chose once a week because I heard of the ups and downs because of the levels changing. I dont experience too many bad effects. I was exhausted for months when I first started, but now that I'm in the right range I feel pretty good. Maybe a bit tired the day before my shot, but that's it. I hope the gel works out for you. It's too expensive where i live, so the injections will have to do for now
Hi i suffer hot flashes due to surgical menopause caused by having my womb and ovaries removed, despite being on hrt, and found that sage tablets have helped a lot with them and the sweats that come along with them x
@@kayvon-h3905 Thank you for this. I've been trying to find something to help get rid of them or at least make the hot flashes not as intense. I started getting them mid October of last year and I've been on T for a little over two years. And since then, they has progressively gotten worse and more frequent. I appreciate the info.
Yeah, I'm not on T yet but I have genetic hormone problems (testosterone and estrogen kinda drop and rise randomly) so I have constant heat flashes and it sucks alot
I’ve heard basically the same thing from trans women who switched from hormone injections to something else. Inconsistent hormone levels apparently just suck in general.
You may find that the hotflashes and dizziness may be the T messing with your blood pressure. I was having low blood pressure and thought was panic attacks and doc checked and found my BP was low when I would stand while on the train for some odd reason.
In an earlier video you said you really didn't have friends around you or at boarding school. Then you showed footage of yourself singing and playing and doing silly things. I thought: "It was their loss. He seemed like a fun and adorable kid." I salute you for your courage and candor. You and those like you are going to make things easier for those who come after you, whether they elect to transition or not. All the best to you.
I'm on Testogel, it's the best option for me because of the consistency. After a while it's just part of the normal morning routine, I never missed a day.
I’m glad you’re doing what’s good for your mental and physical health!! I hope that the gel works well. And please give us an update on how the gel does :)
I feel you. i was on sustanon for 4 years and my levels were all over the place. ended up suffering with severe cramps 24/7 for 6 months straight untill they fiiiinally did something. my body hated sustanon. i am on the gel now waiting to be put on nebido, so much happier and no more horrid side effects. wish you all the best and hope you find the right T for you
Super pleased to see you managed go get onto the gel, I know you've been trying for a while. I'm also in the UK and I know I couldn't use a 3-4 weekly injection (needle phobic and super sensitive to hormone level changes - literally everything you've described). I'm glad to see you make this video because hopefully it will help other trans people to know that if they feel this way on the shots there are still good options for them (it took me about 6 months of bleak hopelessness before I did).
Thank you for making these videos! I am glad there are people comfortable enough to speak about their experiences with this stuff. I hope to start testosterone someday and I feel like your videos help me understand more about it :)

Ya I hate when my hormone levels are wonky! It’s like “who am I and why can’t my body or mind cope with regular life anymore?” It’s weird and awful. I’m glad you’re getting an alternative!
this really reminds me of the hormonal changes someone with a menstrual cycle goes through. Acne, fatigue, high anxiety are all symptoms associated with PMS. I feel you, I have bad PMS and it sucks ass so bad, I hope your new testosterone helps with all the side effects you're experiencing! ( also, you're speaking very legibly )
Dude.. It does NOT sound "pathetic" it sounds exactly like going through puberty to me... Hormones level skyrocket and plummet, your emotions are all over the place and you have no idea why. You do whatever you need to do to feel good in your skin man. You're awesome, and you deserve to feel that way too
I'm on the path to getting T privately, and I don't know how much choice I'll get in the type of T that I'll be on, but I hope it's gel. I know the effects are supposed to be slower and more subtle over time with gel, but the reasons you described sound like what I've already researched in terms of the pros and cons of injections vs. gel. My mental health is also pretty bad and I don't think I would cope well with the peaks and troughs. I do have sensitive skin though so hopefully the gel doesn't mess with my skin too much
I got my gel yesterday. I chose gel because of my mental health and my only 2 options were gel or 12 weekly injections. I was put straight onto a full dose of 4 pumps a day and my doctor said I should expect the same changes as you would get on shots. It didn't realy smell much and I applied it with gloves because of sensory issues with my hands. I have realy sensitive skin, i will get a reaction to most creams or gels but nothing from the testogel.
you don't really have to give us an explanation of your decisions, i don't want you to feel like is an obligation you know? cause you can do whatever you want and whatever that makes you feel happy, i hope you're feeling better now and that everything's going well. i love u
As a person who suffers with anxiety you sharing your experience has been good for me because it has made me conscious that when I start T I need to go on gel because I could not deal with the effects of fluctuating hormone levels, I need stability. Thanks Noah!
I hope this change is smooth and successful for you Noah! As someone who struggles with mental health and ups and downs with the month, I know how sucky it is and I really hope it gets better for you. Stay awesome!
Literally the cutest bean, it lowkey makes me sad how much you feel like you need to defend the choices you make to your own body. 🥺 I hope the gel works out for you better and levels out then hormones and emotions, I might not be trans but a girl can relate to hormones levels fucking with your mental health 😂 hope it works our better for you ❤️
this reminds me of birth control. I was on it for a few months, and I chose depo, a shot you take every 3 months, to avoid the nuisance of daily pills. That crazy influx of hormones caused me to gain 30 lbs in a month (I'm really short and slight, I weighed 100 lbs before the weight gain, so 30 lbs on my frame was insane) and other unpleasant side effects, so I only got 3 shots (meaning I was on it for 9 months) before I threw in the towel. I was lucky that birth control was a choice rather than a necessity for me/my health, but it STILL frustrated me how little time and resources have been inverted into cisfemale-centric medicine as opposed to cismale medicine. This is obviously very, if not more, true for trans-related medicine. I'm glad ciswomen and trans people's medicinal interests are becoming more central than they have been, but it's bullshit that birth control or HRT research and innovation is barely ramping up, and we're fighting to get that shit covered by (American) insurance, but viagra is covered without a thought and probably on round 50 of innovations
haha yeah i just stopped taking the depo shot last month so i DEFO get that! gained 10kg in a year but that’s probs the testosterone and the depo shot working together
@@NOAHFINNCE i'm in a fit that you actually saw and responded to my comment, thank you! PS my american ass had to google the conversion from kg to lbs lol, but yeah, playing with hormones is a bitch. I hope it's smooth(er) sailing with the gel for you!
But like women live through a cycle of basically the same thing😂. Like our hormone levels r constantly fluctuating and the week we have our period we feel so shitty🤷🏻♀️
There exists an injection that can stop this problem. It will "deactivate" you reproduction organ and period disappears with time. You get injection once per 3 months. And you can finally live a normal life.
NoahFinnce fair enough. I’ve never experienced what you have so of course I wouldn’t be able to compare really. Having said that I think everyone’s reaction to hormone fluctuations varies so as with everything we’re all different. Thanks for your reply and thanks for all your content. I found you via Evan’s videos but I’ve learnt so much from yours. Thank you for sharing your experience so us old (36!😂) cis people can understand a little better.
I really want to take T to deepen my voice but I don’t want to fully transition to male because I’m non binary so would I have to stop taking it if my voice deepens?
I've never been on Sustanon (it's not available in my country), but I've been on Testogel and Nebido. I definitely preferred Nebido, as I didn't get those mood swings you describe. I got hot flashes though, but I got them consistently every single day for many years, so it wasn't due to my T levels changing. Actually it was because (believe it or not) my estrogen levels were too low. As for Testogel, it didn't work for me at all. For two main reasons: I have no sleep cycle (I sleep whenever) which means it's impossible to take anything at even roughly the same time every day, because I never know if I'm gonna be awake or asleep at any given hour. Second reason was my bad memory. Meaning I'd forget to take the damn gel way too often. So as a result my T levels fluctuated like crazy. That caused mood swings for me. A third reason why gel was not great for me is because that type of T doesn't lower my estrogen levels enough, for some reason. So the result of that was I got re-occurring periods, about once every 3rd month or so, which also happened because I missed doses so much. That doesn't mean the gel is bad. It's just not great for me. With Nebido, you don't have to do the shot yourself, because it goes in the butt muscle (hard to reach by yourself) and is a huge amount of fluid (4 ml) which takes several minutes to push in, which you can't really do in that angle. So, a nurse would do that stabbing for you, and as you said it's really seldom. I took mine once every 14th week. So I think the biggest reason I really prefer Nebido is because it's just super convenient for me, lol. I've been entirely off T for a couple of years now though, but I miss it a bit.
I went on gel from the start, I've been on it for 10 months and it's worked great for me, started passing pretty consistently after 3, 4 months. I prefer to do something everyday because if it was every few weeks I'd totally forget lol Gel isn't for everyone, but it's terrible when people talk about it so negatively.
Gel was much better for me than injections (Nebido) at keeping my level within within range. Injections made my levels like 56 😭 Hope it all works out for you and gets better now on gel 😁😁
@@GQkid13 I was on gel first and then nebido, but it's hard to say if any change has happened because I switched or if it would have happened anyway at that point on T (facial hair, for example). I can't think of anyhting completely new that happened on injections that didn't happen at all on gel :)
@@GQkid13 no, your testosterone changes are based on your levels, not the method of getting your levels that way. The only way stuff would reverse is if some some reason your T levels are too low
I've heard you briefly mention a bit about how bad these T shots make you feel before, and so I'm glad youre changing. You really need it. Honestly im shocked that you didn't switch methods ages ago if its been doing this to you the whole time
hey when u start gel could u make a video about it - like how, where and when you apply it, how the changeover affected you and how it affected you overall?
I have the same issue with scar tissue on my stomach, I decided last week I’m going to be rotating from left side of stomach to right side and hopefully it’ll help 😔 then again it’s not too big of an issue for me I can handle some pain, but if it gets worse I might need to switch to something else 🤔
As someone who is currently going through the same thing with birth control (I have endometriosis and extra estrogen makes my life hell), I feel you. It’s a pain to switch and try different hormone treatments
Noah...I am not trans, but have had to take testosterone for years due to extremely low levels. I started with shots every 4 weeks. I had all the same issues you described. My doctor moved me about 3 years ago to gel as I also have depression and anxiety. That daily dose has been helpful. I hope this works for you!
I’m on gel (tostran pump) and it does dry strangely. I wouldn’t say crusty, just a bit dry and flaky. I’m on gel instead of injections because mood swings are part and parcel of my mental health situation and we definitely don’t need any encouraging for those to happen. Stability is nice. It’s a lot better using the pump than the gel sachets used to be - they were very watery and there was lots of it, whereas one pump of the canister gives a nice concentrated dose of gel rather than this watery mess. So four pumps (which is my dosage) makes for a nice experience. Good luck with the change over Noah and look after yourself! Stay safe and well 💖
I found this video quite educational while also being entertaining and funny to watch, just like all of your other videos. Since I came out as trans ftm 2 year ago to my mom, I found out a few months ago that she frequently watches your channel, especially videos relating to trans experiences and such. (She also said you have an amazing singing voice). I believe this has helped my mom to become more understanding of me and of other transgender people. So, thank you for doing what you do and keep on being awesome! Wish you all the luck with starting T gel instead of injections and cant wait for the next video!
my endo said that one downside of gel for younger people is that if you're still going through the first puberty, you can't go on gel because you can't titrate gel. titration just means gradually increasing the amount of t to match cis guys your age.
Having your testosterone levels change that much must be hell. Im on the same dose youve been for a while and my peak and trough levels are actually very similar (endocrinologist was even surprised). I don't know why that's the case but hearing about your experience has made me feel bit lucky with mine. Hope the gel works better for you man!
I've only ever used gel and I love it. Consistent moods are the best. Literally no ups and downs. I don't think the changes are happening any slower vs had I taken shots. I just apply it to my shoulders and chest every morning after a shower. Dry up for like 30 mins, this is the only part I find inconvenient somedays. Shirt on. Done. After like a week you don't even notice the smell at all anymore. And my skin definitely never gets crusty. If you do get crusty, you can definitely moisturize before bed daily. The whole no anxiety from thinking you have to do shots is also like the best. I always thought someday I would eventually switch to shots, but honestly if I were to ever switch it would probably be something like a patch vs a shot because I think the consistency in how I feel physically and mentally is just great.
For the first year I got my shots every 4 weeks and it sucked. It was really painful, no consistent T levels, lots of acne and just feeling terrible when my levels were low. I switched to nebido and, safe to say, it was a good decision. Less acne, less pain due to the shots only being every 3 months, consistent levels of Testosterone. Gel wasn't an option for me because of the no touching for 4 hours and always having to apply it at the same time. I'm so thankful for my gender clinic to be able to provide me with this option and my doctor also says that this type of Testosterone is one of the better ones.
I am so glad there are options of Testosterone delivery methods. I really wasn't aware of how many. I wish there was a patch that you did monthly that consistently delivered the amount needed. Yes, hot flashes are the worst and I bet it was Mary from the gender clinic that reccomended gel. Her name sticks in my head and I sing to my self "Mary from the gender clinic". It's a catchy little tune. I think you should write a song about her!
Im also using gel. Been 3 weeks. Im very happy. I dont get no mood swings and I feel like due to the stable levels and consistency changes happen much slower but also more naturally... dunno if I could describe this well. But I love it. Obviously like you said the cons are you have to apply it every day, preferably the same time, and dont touch anyone till it dries... it also sticks to your clothes.. which for me takes like 1,5 hours till I can let my shirt sleeves down again or my shorts. It is recommended to change where its applied each day. This can be a pain as you probably cant always have the time to do it at the same time, let alone give it another 1,5 hours to dry, if you got a job or an appointment or literally just life happening. That's gonna be hard to keep up with. With this quarantine thing going on its nice, I dont have to worry about these things. But when life hits again its gonna be hard. Though I dont think its too bad if you cant make it in time for once and apply it a few hours later or earlier... or even if you miss a day. The only cons I'd say.
I've been on gel for nearly two years! It's not as bad as people think. I started T with gel because of my mental health and my doctor didn't want to worsen my anxiety and depression with the peaks and troughs. It can dry out your skin a bit but if you put lotion on after a few hours of it being dry you'll be fine. Gel does not crust! At least if your body absorbs it properly. If your body doesn't absorb the gel correctly then you'll get the crust and weird levels. I also like gel because theres a few different places you can apply it. For Androgel you can put it on your upper arms or stomach. I always put it on my stomach, let it dry for a few minutes, then put on a shirt to avoid the weird sticky feeling. It smells and looks like hand sanitizer. If you're putting on your gel right after a shower you have to wait for the site to dry completely and even then it'll take longer for the gel to dry as your skin just took in so much moisture already. So if you take it night, you should shower in the morning and vice versa. Missing one day might throw your levels off a bit but within like 3 days youd be stable again. This is really scattered but if anyone has more questions just lmk.
I’ve been on gel for over 2.5 years. The thing about not being able to not touch someone with that part of your skin is more of a precaution for women. My endocrinologist told me that it won’t be a huge problem unless you’re literally supergluing someone’s arm to your application site. When I first started testosterone, wanting consistent testosterone levels is why I started with gel. The only downside of gel that I’ve noticed is that I can’t shower in the afternoon or early evening because if it washes off too early I get a massive withdrawal headache. Might not happen for you, but just something to be aware of!

When I get to finally have testosterone I plan on getting gel because I have a terrible fear of shots and I don't think I would ever be able to stab my leg every week.
im on gel and i personally think its better then shots for your mental health because of the consistancy
i've been on t for 7 months doing needles and i only started on shots bc i wanted a higher dose, i was originally planning on doing gel. the shots aren't as bad as you think they would be. i have to do mine every week. it's your choice but i was so worried about doing shots and it was never as bad as i thought it would be, it's gotten a lot better than when i started

so weird that this showed up in my recommended right now, ive been having the same exact issues with my T shots and am highly considering switching to gel around 1 year on T (im about 9 months now) hoping it works out for you !!! would appreciate updates as well to maybe help with my own decision making !
good luck! and i’m sure i’ll make a vid about it at some point
I'm switching to subcutaneous for my next injection for the same reason. Hopefully that will be better.
Hey! Same here. Sucks big time tbh, what type of T are you on rn if you don't mind me asking?
Hi
I'm from Germany and we have mainly two types of Testosterone: Gel and Injections. We have different types of injections. 1000mg which you get every three month, one, which you get every two weeks and one you get every 4 weeks
I started with Gel for half a year and then I started with injections every 11 weeks (about 3 month). I like injections more than the gel, but both do exactly the same: they let you get your puberty.
Here in Germany, many doctors recommend starting with gel to get used your body to testosterone, and than later getting the injections
Basically the same here in Finland. I was offered a chance to change from gel to shots after half a year on T, but I'm going with gel for now.
I'm also from Germany so thanks for the comment... because I'm not on t just yet.... probably this summer
I don't want to get gel and hope it will be fine with the doctor and get any type of injections... even though I'm scared as hell because of the needles.... but my current lifestyle would not be the best for using gel and also I'm not the best in remembering to use it every day anyways... so I hope for the injections...
@@13Sammy same
@@13Sammy am german too, just started with shots every four weeks. "testoviron" it's called, i believe. maybe just ask your endo about that?
Now on back on shots for a few months and we may or may not try again with the pellets in june.
o shit! that sounds dreadful i’m sorry. is there no option to go on gel?
Its your body's natural defense fighting against foriegn substances and materials that don't belong.. Maybe you should listen to what your body is telling you, women don't belong on a male levels of testosterone. Stop fighting biology.

I’ve been growing more and more facial hair and my voice just keeps getting deeper.
hey, noah. i live in the US and i take injections biweekly because i’m on a higher dose than normal bc my dysphoria is really bad. i’ll have been on t for four months this month. i also experience “low” weeks and my mental health seems to plummet until i can take my next shot too. i used to be REALLY tired all the time too, like you said, but for me, after three months or so, i guess my body kind of,,, got used to the low weeks, or maybe i’m just happier as the months go by because i’m getting further into my transition, i don’t really know?? but yeah. i can definitely understand why you would have to change the type of t you take. i have depression and anxiety too and those low weeks are just,,, not it. good luck mate x
just a warning that high dose can cause your voice not to change correctly. but ur doctor knows best.
Doses aren't based on dysphoria they're based on blood tests and getting you into the same level as everyone else.

hey dude i use the gel at the moment, i put it on my thighs, wash my hands afterwars. also the smell goes away after 30 seconds. ive had no problems at all
Thats AWESOME that you're finally able to switch to a different type of T.
This is very informative, especially to someone thinking about starting at some point.
It's too expensive where i live, so the injections will have to do for now
gel is actually quite nicce it takes about 2 mins to dry it just feels a bit sticky for about 5 mins and then thatsit for the day

When Noah mentioned him getting hot flashes, it hit my soul because I relate so much.

Like our hormone levels r constantly fluctuating and the week we have our period we feel so shitty🤷🏻♀️
i used to pass out and vomit from my period but the mood changes that i get from testosterone are MUCH worse
There exists an injection that can stop this problem. It will "deactivate" you reproduction organ and period disappears with time. You get injection once per 3 months. And you can finally live a normal life.
Why would you say that to a trans man. He's obviously experienced it.
Your talk of hormone fluctuations and mood swings is very relatable as a CIS woman!

And omg I relate so much to body anxiety for no reason
I went on gel from the start, I've been on it for 10 months and it's worked great for me, started passing pretty consistently after 3, 4 months. I prefer to do something everyday because if it was every few weeks I'd totally forget lol
Gel isn't for everyone, but it's terrible when people talk about it so negatively.

As someone who is currently going through the same thing with birth control (I have endometriosis and extra estrogen makes my life hell), I feel you. It’s a pain to switch and try different hormone treatments
I really liked this video and I would like to hear more about gel and your experience with it
Noah...I am not trans, but have had to take testosterone for years due to extremely low levels. I started with shots every 4 weeks. I had all the same issues you described. My doctor moved me about 3 years ago to gel as I also have depression and anxiety. That daily dose has been helpful. I hope this works for you!
Sounds like withdrawals
Stay safe and well 💖
1. Sorry, but i think that title is quite misleading😅
2. Never knew there were different types of testosterone
Noah , do you like shrek ? Now this is a serious question
my endo said that one downside of gel for younger people is that if you're still going through the first puberty, you can't go on gel because you can't titrate gel. titration just means gradually increasing the amount of t to match cis guys your age.
.
I love the amount of energy you always have in your videos😂💞
Your energy you bring to these videos is awesome!
