Man I’ve been watching you videos from 4 years ago what a learning curve you’ve been on mate all that loot you left behind in the early day it’s been a real treat to watch keep on keeping on I’ll be watching
It’s painful for me to go back and watch some of the oldies. I was so green. I knew very little of scrap and even less about editing videos. I’m so glad with all the help I’ve had along the way from the viewers and am blessed be able to share this knowledge with y’all!
@@MikeTheScavenger starting a new adventure and learning along the way is how all the very best and successful business models happen combining your love of repurposing and a very inquisitive nature has served you well and that exactly why I/we are spellbound by your videos, the energy and strength that comes across will help you going forward ! I hope you have goals and a plan for direction because your going to need them times are getting harder and competitive people are out there ,,I’m addicted
That gray panel is a prox reader for key cards or for reading vehicle entry transmitters. The radio locking plates are all Motorola as the radios have locks that close when slid onto the base. Those LED light plates are aluminum heat sinks. I’m not a know-it-all….I have just installed all of those devices
Sat down to enjoy my bacon and 🍳 and to what did my wandering eyes appear? A new MTS video! Woo Hoo! Thanks for the entertainment and scrap knowledge. 😚❤️
Came across your channel and now I'm hooked, something oddly satisfying about what you do. Glad to see you recycles the scraps and make some profit man, be safe!.
You need to consider carrying a heavy duty cloth bag with handles to cap those super long pipes at the tailgate & anchor pipe & sack with a bungee farther up truck bed. Just a suggestion. 😁
Mike I consider you a Brother from another mother!!!...I'm 62 and I don't think I could do this!...but you make me want to!!...Stay Safe!...I love the follow up videos... when you cash in!!
I might. You're doing a wonderful job. You're helping a lot of these people out in their yards removing the scrap. Please stay safe and take care. Talk to you later my friend. 👍👍👍👌👌👌
❤️ ya mike!!! It’s just crazy that you can go out and come back with a loaded truck full of scrap that pays your bills and people just throw it away!! And I know it’s not without hard work bc we’ll see you busting your rump💪🏼 everyday!!👍🏻
Well, most people throw it away because they don't accumulate enough to make it worth their while. It's only worth the while when you go around and accumulate enough, like this. I'm not sure if dumpster companies get upset about this though, cuz they make money off this stuff too when they sort it out at the yard.
Man, that Nordic Track gave you quite a workout & you didn’t even get on it! 🤣. I’d be interested to find out more about those LED square light things. Great haul!
Dumpster diving is like trick-or-treating trick-or-treat give me something good to eat you’re not gonna dumpster and wait for a surprise it’s fun watching you get excited when your stuff in there I do the same
Yeah Mike! Stepping up yo game! Giving us vocal descriptions of wires AND including a photo? Just goes to prove you're the Best and the NICEST! All Hail the King of scrap! 🤩😍🤩
All Kinds of Cable and Wire and a Lot of large Alu Led Lights - man You had a Great Time Diving this Evening and even grabed some Moving Boxes for Your Neighbour - Brilliant Video and many Cheers from us in Australia !!!!
Those brackets are for the radio. The drawer unit mounts in those and the control unit ( head) would be mounted in the interior on the truck , police car or fire truck. The power cables are for high power radios.
Conduit connectors are either steel or zinc NOT aluminum the most commonly used are the zinc connectors, zinc pays more than aluminum. I keep a 5 gallon bucket handy when separating metals when it's full it's time to take it to the yard. Don't forget to take the screws out. Another great haul.
I cannot say "I'AM IN LOVE WITH THE STRIPPER" (I just found the SHORT video) I might get into trouble, it was good. I have enjoyed your videos for a long time...Lots of information re: scrapin'...even when your swimin'. Thanks for sharing the video of your PUPPIES, SO SWEET!!!!Susan from Fairfield, California
Nice scraps tonight. Always working clean picking up stuff that wasn't in the dumpster to start with. That's why I live your channel Mike. I do the same when I go DD. Stay safe out there man.
Mike I’m so happy for Dottie. Heehee. She’s got a full tummy again. I’ve got to say though, I sure do miss the days when we’d see you fill Dottie up. Then it wasn’t a surprise when you called it a night. We could see for ourselves. Plus you’re such a great packer. Just a thought ! Love ya Peace ♥️♥️♥️🇨🇦
I will say Mike you definitely work for your scrap !! That was a big 10-4 on the cb radio mounts !! And the big power cable is to run linear amplifiers !! 73's
Thanks for cleaning up the environment. You show the wastefulness of some American's I'm amazed at how much stuff you pickup. Thanks, Be safe jumpin in to those dumpsters.
Make you cry for Mama? My Mama would laugh like hell. She warned me of stuff like that several times but she had a mean sense of humour, and we have to, as scrappers. Thanks so much for you input and enthusiasm.
I saw a fridge with the door off and thought to remind watchers that that is the right way to dispose of a fridge, with the door off. The potential for a mishap is real, kids have become dead or close. Take the door off as this person did. Cudos for the opportunity to say.
Wow Mike, those LED heatsinks will procure you quite a few pounds of Aluminum. Lucky you nobody seems to want to recycle them, themselves. All the more treasure for you I guess... like they say, one man's trash is another man's treasure :)
Another fun ride along on the dumdster diving slash curbside picking I like to see what you get out of them led lights tho see you on the next one hope the puppies are good God bless you and yours
Docking stuff, esp. Motorola...is often forklift communication stuff. Big warehouses sometimes use them instead of the hand-held walkie-talkie types for better two-way.
All that dust you stir up can't be good to breath . You should protect your self Mike, we love having you around.
It's like dumpster diving poetry: "Some sort of cord? Of power, in nature?" Mike the Scavenger
I like the way you're adding photos of the wires and stuff...stuff. 😆
Another fun day with Mike

Mike, use some of that black pipe for pony clamps. Cut it to what sizes you want. I use pony clamps when gluing up suff in my woodshop.

It's a good thing that you have a good bed, and tailgate liner in your truck bed, because of the Thin Aluminum they are made from.
Great video five stars brother
