Finally, someone with a sensible attitude on this subject. After previously reading some random unreasonably spiteful and offensive comments on youtube this gives me hope that there are still people who prefer to think before they judge someone based on some silly video that was made just for fun. Once again great point made by Charlie Brooker!
@chonitodancer Pretty common in human history, really, it is nothing new. People who feel inadequate or upset at things in their own lives band together to follow and make the more exceptional (or exceptionally lucky) individuals into mega stars only to tear them down and delight in their suffering the moment they make it big. It is something that bonds them together and makes them feel better about their own lives. Probably been like this forever.
I never thought of it that way. But I don't think that makes their brutality alright. Still it's so ironic how all their hate has fostered her success.
@horatiovitero As much as i love the clip, the laughs are DEFINITLY cut in. Just listen to it again, concentrating on the laughs - its like 2 different laugh.mp3s played at different volumes. Natural people - even in a group - never laugh the same way twice. Now, dont get me wrong - its still a great clip, but those plastic laughs hurt it more than they help.
everything has haters. there isnt anything without haters. nickelback is very popular. and sometimes excessive popularity can breed hate. and all that internet ridicule is mostly done by people trying to be part of the anti-nickelback hype.
Nothing makes an utterly insignificant person feel important like jumping on an internet bandwagon and thinking their opinion matters. "hey i wrote a mean message to a 13 year old! I'm special!" Yes. Just not in the way you think you are.
I really enjoyed "Leader of Men" when it came out. But literally every other song they ever made was garbage. I'm content calling them a one-hit wonder.
I don't really believe I have to proof they're a bad band - I could bring up the fact that they infamously had rocks thrown at them during a gig in Portugal - such is their popularity, and are massively ridiculed across the internet for their unoriginal music. But it's really just a matter of opinion - I really don't like their music. Nothing wrong if you do. I just don't.
Charlie is a fucking hero.
Mr. Brooker, you are full of class.
And the day after, he wrote "Hated in the nation"...
Yeah I've been in a Charlie Brooker audience before it's very hard to stop yourself from laughing.
Friday will be the day you mop the fucking floor.
Fucking hell Brooker is a genius.
Is there a "adore" button I can press? I think merely liking this doesn't do it justice
This guy's hilarious!
The ending...I clapped.

That's funny.
@tiivc and @strappinggermanlad It is a live show, weather it sounds fake or not, those are actually people laughing

Bullying cyberbullies is so satisfying

do you have any other way to prove otherwise?
@strappinggermanlad indeed it was a tosser who added a laugh track to this
Nothing makes an utterly insignificant person feel important like jumping on an internet bandwagon and thinking their opinion matters. "hey i wrote a mean message to a 13 year old! I'm special!" Yes. Just not in the way you think you are.
fake laughter ruins it
erm. whats wrong with nickelback? they are an amazing band

Top. A****ls
I'm glad he defended her. Her song sucks and she can't sing, but normal, decent people don't send hate mail to Ke$ha or Nickleback
Tee hee.
@Cajaquarius you evil person. how dare you unveil the Sun's business plan!
do you have any other way to prove otherwise? other than a wiseass comment? :P or are you just trying to be part of the anti nickelback hype?
less then one note... great fucking joke
