He's being modest. The reason Black Mirror is so daunting and interesting is that it is absolutely plausible. A tiny change / evolution in habits / laws and those plots become reality. Unlike other sci-fi it isnt speculative using huge leaps of imagination, or impossible tech. It all already exists, and is a cautionary take on what can easily happen

Season 1 of Black Mirror is pretty spectacular but I do miss yearly wipes a lot

The disappointment after a full year of Trump, and the ridiculous beginning of the Brexit-election aftermath, in 2017 - and then NO 2017 Wipe with him. Devastated.
