Aesop Rock and I share the same birth date, just a decade apart and I feel so connected to his music and his feelings it's wild. Love that dude, and Rob Sonic too!
They concert-ized the song so that it's faster and more energetic. That way he can do something that everyone likes and is familiar with at concerts(without always having to do Daylight) but they can get something new from it and keep up the concert atmosphere.
He probably does this song every show. Considering this was on his first album (I think) it probably gets stale after a while (in the mind of the artist, that beat is amazing of course)
I know the original comment is 8 years old lol but Blockhead explained awhile back that a lot of the instrumentals for Labor Days don't exist anymore. Which is why Aes didn't perform a lot of the songs from that project live
When i heard this album it changed my perception on what couldve been done lyrically on a beat. Aesop rock is a legend.

Its his 3rd one ( float and music for earthworms )
The hook is undeniable.
Aes Rock
This is crazy!
Easily my favorite rap song.
I don't know if he sampled it from an older track, but I know the 2nd one is the same beat from Dre's the Watcher.
First one is redman’s da goodness
Hell Yes
Rico, similar, hermit... that was saucy 😐
I know the first verse was a beat from redman,
not sure of the second and third.
Shit's dope, regardless!!
The watcher by Jay z/dr Dre and then sucka MCs by Run DMC, respectively!!
What's the beat for the first verse?
Never mind, I found it, It's Da Goodness by Red man.
I have that shirt :D
what beat is that? thats not the no regrets beat
redman da goodness
if youre still interested after 6 years :P
@@dadadada9772 I was interested. Thank you.
he often doesn't use the original beat when he does No Regrets live.
Gotta keep the crowd jumping. Lol

Why no blockhead beats on this one?
Just a little slow for concert I think.
I wish this version was on the album... I prefer this.
🐐💩. IYKYK
Like how your name was stolen??
sell to me
I wish he preformed this way more chill. The tempo kind of ruins the message in this live performance.
Aesop Rock is white? :)
+Eric Avila nope
so, you're saying he's...
+Eric Avila he's a rock
Some of the best rappers are white, and some of the worst rappers are black. That goes to show that skill has nothing to do with race.
I agree, but there's a certain tone or color of voice that is more common among black rappers.
