Really cool arrangement. What a classic song. Love discovering new songs that you cover with your unique skills and talent. Thanks for continuing to share your gifts with all of us and also continuing to profile such seminal classic hits like this. Love it! Really love it when you go into the high register...that sound of yours is exceptional!
Thank you Clark! Much appreciated! And thank you for taking the time to comment! I'm so pleased that you felt this came out okay. I hope all is well for you! - Glenn
Thank you Kenneth! Nice to hear from you again! And thank you for listening. I'm glad you thought I did okay with this; it's a cool song! I hope all is well for you. - Glenn

I don't usually use TH-cam for interacting, just watch, but want to say I've enjoyed a lot of your performances of some great songs. This particular Seger song though is more a rocker than your usual mellow solo acoustic type things. I saw you also did Seger's "Running Against The Wind." Each are okay, but two I'd take over those are "Shame On The Moon" (composed by Rodney Crowell - known mainly for country music) and the song "Coming Home" (a Seger original composition) - both soft & pretty, ultra mellow tunes. Seger's rockers pull the most TH-cam views, but "Shame On The Moon"'s official video from the album has 19 million, so not too shabby. "Coming Home" from the same album (The Distance) only has 606,000 views comparably, so a less known song, but listen and you'll love it. Just wanted to suggest you might consider those two. A Seger rocker I do love though is "Making Thunderbirds." I had an 83 Thunderbird once.
Thank you very much for your detailed information above. I just listened to "Coming Home" and to "Shame on the Moon" and thought they were both great. So thank you for the suggestions. I will put them on my list of possibilities. And thank you, too, for all your efforts here to keep me informed about Bob Seger's songs. Much appreciated! I hope all is well for you! - Glenn
@@glennwillow5124 I was sure you'd love both of those songs. Interesting trivia: "Shame On The Moon" was Seger's 2nd highest charting song on Billboard, at #2. "Coming Home" was never a hit, just among tracks on that same Dec 1982 album release, The Distance. Lots of great songs were never charting pop hits, but it's fun to look at.
Thanks for listening! I'm glad you thought this worked out well, but I'm sorry to read that you lost your duo friend. Thanks for the kind Easter wishes! Happy Easter to you, also! - Glenn

@@glennwillow5124 you're welcome, you do have great vocals I mean what I say... All not to bad here thanks, its been hard times but today a bit of luck as a kidney donor have been found for my sister and hopefully will be having the transplant early hours this morning if all goes to plans. Well all my best to you from Wales 👍

Wow. That was beautifully done. You have a beautiful singing voice, and that is so awesome. How you manage to play the saxophone part on the electric guitar. It's pretty interesting about your musical abilities. If you don't mind me asking, can you read music at all? Or do you do everything by ear? I have perfect pitch, so I do everything by ear, but it can sometimes be a blessing or a curse. It can be a blessing when the person next to you is right on key, but it can be a curse. If the person next to you is either off key, or just plain flat. By the way, is it OK if we chat about music right here on TH-cam? Just asking.
Hi Amanda! Nice to hear from you and Happy Easter for tomorrow! I hope you are well! Thanks for your kind comments. I'm very pleased that you thought this sounded good. I do read music, but even so, I pretty much do everything by ear, just as you do. I do not have perfect pitch. Interesting that you do. And yes, it's certainly okay to discuss music here on TH-cam along with comments to songs. I have a grandson who is a good saxophone player, but he lives on the other side of the USA so it was awkward to get him involved in this recording. So, I thought I would just cover the saxophone line with one of my electric guitars. It was fun and definitely adds a different sound to the song. -- Glenn
