I'm sorry that happened to you 😔. And I completely understand how your daughter feel, when I was younger I got in a accident with my dad and I was in the front seat. And after the accident I didn't want to sit in the front seat anymore. I didn't start back sitting in the front seat until I was 16, I'm 26 now..
Wow Mike! That accident was so unexpected. I’m glad you guys didn’t get more injured and that your daughter is able to deal with that traumatic event in time. Crazy that they decided to write it off with only $23k in damages but probably they found additional issues afterwards like you said. I was in an accident with mine back in 2019 and it had about $12k in damage so they repaired it and I’m happy. I think if the insurance company can’t get you an electric rental then they should at least pay for your gasoline.
Got t-boned at bay and somerset on passenger side by a pickup truck. Firefighter was able to drive it to the side of the road but wheel was rubbing so at the time it had to be towed by flatbed to Montreal.
Going from a state of the art EV back to a gas vehicle is like going back 20 years in time travel. Having two Tesla's in the household for the past year I just can't imagine what it's like to pump gas. The thought is pure insanity. Congrats on your new Model 3 performance.

Thanks for the comment. I was hoping the Tesla prices would be going down not up. I never expected my original tesla price would be a steal in 2022. It’s kinda disappointing because the more electric cars out there the better. And man of man is it more convenient on a day to day bases.
My only complaint and I’ll always say this regardless of who’s at fault and who isn’t. Never get that close behind a school bus or semi.. half the time they can’t see you. Always leave at least 1-2 car spaces imo for big vehicles like that
Footage makes it look like I’m closer then I was. Watch the part of the video where I show how much he backed up. Also, I had a car behind me so he should of been able to see him too. The guy never looked behind him.
We got our M3 mid march. Hit a deer early July, 2 weeks before the 1500 km road trip we ordered it for a year ago. I'm hoping to get it back by the end of the September and have a couples weeks of good weather left to enjoy. Going on joyrides is something we just weren't really doing before, but with it a 5 mins trip to the drugstore sometimes turned into a 4 hours ride in the country.

4:27 on the way brighter side atleast it only takes a couple minutes to get a full tank with a range of around 300 miles instead of taking half a day to charge something with the exact same range
It amazes me how there's people who don't like pumping gas. I don't see why. But I guess it makes sense. I don't see how I could wait at a charger for 20+ minutes, let alone, actively go out of my way to find one, or even find a slow charger and have to wait 4 hours. That's insanity. Having a charger at home should be the only way I'd own an EV, but even then, my entire state can say "no charging during peak hours." and my own car can lock itself out from being charged to be in compliance. That's what keeps me from adopting this new "non-dino" technology.
I charge at super chargers on trips. Trying to find one? Lol it’s pretty easy. Specially since the car tells you were they are. The rest of the time charging at home is something you don’t even have to think about. You set it and forget it. Enjoy your gas car. Your allowed too. Have a great day.

Did your sr+ have a heat pump? My 2018 model 3 doesn’t. Your brand new performance version must have one. Using the heater drains my battery a lot.
My original SR+ (2019) did NOT have a heat pump. The new Performance model does. We shall see how it goes this winter.

100% agree. Add basic sensors at least! Back camera even if they aren’t allowed to back up. Can’t be that much for safety.

Was at a Tesla meetup last week and got to sit into a new 2022 Model X. Loved it. Now waiting for my in town Tesla “dealership” to call me to allow me to test one out. They haven’t had a test model yet.
