So I don't accredit Bruno for Paak, but DAMN once you know both, listening to one makes you wanna hear the other!! Now I just need both of em to do one with Masego.

Never heard a reactor give tips on how to emulate vocal styles this way before. Other reactions are usually about "what was done" as opposed to "how it's done". I normally dislike the pauses but yours were totally worth it.

This song is a perfect rendition of an early 70s sound where the male falsetto was popular.The arrangement, soulful vocals and authentic style really captures the 70s. So glad to hear REAL MUSIC return.
Look into some of Paak's solo work. One of the best artists of today and these two are a PERFECT pairing. Such great contrast between the two voices.

Bruno Mars’s voice has evolved. His voice is so full now opposed to his lighter, nosey sound that we’re used to
I really got some Michael Jackson vibes, his falsetto was literally flawless.

This song reminds me of us old people who grew up listening to Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Marvin Gaye. Especially the Motown 70's where R&B like this came on the radio and this kind of R&B set a standard for all those that followed. Notice the call and response in the beginning of the song. Anderson and Bruno play around, the band is loose and smooth (just like a newborn) as Bruno touches his face. I love the falsettos and that classic sophisticated R&B. Bruno Mars , I love his vocal here, the best he ever sounded displays how good of a singer and performer he has come to be as he matures in his music. I believe Bootsy Collins from P Funk is on this track too but not shown here on video. That band, a rapper, singer and drummer Anderson Pak is a triple threat but he is more known for rapping. He can sing too. I project this will be nominated for song of the year when they announce Grammy award nominations in the late fall.

Nothing against anyone else but I've watched others and give them 5 different videos and they will all have 1 where they can't replicate what the singer is doing or they don't even understand how it's done (see jinjer) and you've nailed every single one. This channel is going to explode. You'll hit 100k before the end of the year. That's my hot take.
You impress me even more than the singers in Silk Sonic. I've been singing, playing, writing & producing for a living for over 30 years and worked with different kind ("natural", classical; pop, musical) of singers a LOT, but NEVER have I come across somebody with THAT combination of qualities; musicality, expertise, sense of (musical) style and humor. One subscriber more and many to follow.

Loved everything about your post. Your post reminded me of my youth when I studied dance, voice & drums. Your comment about being "effortful" reminds me of when I studied Meisner technique, a Stanislavski-based acting technique - where "simple" didn't mean "easy" and was oftentimes the hardest thing to do. (I was lucky to have been a working actor/commercial print model for 14 years. It saved me throughout decades of intermittent debilitating fatigue.) While I eventually found my niche as a special ed. teacher, I look upon my years of taking dance classes sometimes on scholarship, studying voice and getting coaching sessions with Broadway luminaries, seeing friends on Broadway, etc. with much fondness and appreciation. Your students are lucky to have you. Wishing you much continued success in all your endeavors.
