Like most others, it seems, I simply hadn't heard his name before, though I don't keep up with modern music really. In fact, I've only heard the name Bruno Mars but didn't really know his stuff. Having heard some snippets of Mars' older stuff, it's not really my thing and I find his voice a bit reedy. But THIS song has been blowing me away ever since I heard it on the radio. Now to see what I think is a tongue in cheek performance when they first did it live (in brown suits) and especially on this video, well, I just can't stop playing it. Very funny, kind of sending themselves and old soul groups up and yet at the same time the quality of the performance both musically and vocally is simply off the scale. I have seen everybody from Garth Brooks to Elton John in concert, and while all the concerts I’ve been to have been amazing, seeing Bruno (twice) was my absolute favorite.
