    SPOILERS WARNING
    Endgame: Rebirth (4)
    Sanaki and Sephiran are finally reunited but their rejoicing quickly comes to a halt when Ike breaks the ice on Sephiran's true intentions. And Sephiran himself reveals that he is the mastermind behind all of the bad events that have occurred.
    Battle Begins: 13:33
    Roster
    Ike - Level 20/20* MAX
    Micaiah - Level 18/20/20
    Sothe - Level 15/20*
    Sanaki - Level 15**
    Kurthnaga - Level 33 (L)
    Ena - Level 27 (L)
    Haar - Level 20/20* MAX
    Jill - Level 20/20/20 MAX
    Titania - Level 19/20*
    Soren - Level 20/20* MAX
    Nephenee - Level 19/20*
    Mia - Level 16/20*
    Elincia - Level 17**
    Edward - Level 17/20/20
    Nolan - Level 19/20/20
    Shinon - Level 20/20* MAX
    Reyson - Level 22 (L)
    Strategy: Wipe out all the spirits in your way and make sure to take out the 4 spirits adjacent to him before attacking him. Reason being is because any spirit that is adjacent to him will have a hidden guard ability which will redirect any attacks towards the spirit instead of him. Sephiran will not attack Sanaki nor will Sanaki attack him. Same goes for Micaiah except Micaiah can attack him, so you can use her along with your other Nihil users to fight him. He has a long ranged magic attack so try to keep your low RES units on top of wardwood (+10 RES) tiles. He also does an AoE just like Dheginsea although it does seem to do a bit more damage. He will do it turn 1 and that should be the only time he does it since you were able to take out Dheginsea, your units should be more than capable to end this fight by turn 3 if properly utilized.
    Comment: Easily the easiest chapter of the 5 rebirth chapters.

    I've always loved Sephiran and Sanaki's relationship. Even though it was flawed, he still loved her more than life itself. I think that's why this fight fucked me up so badly lol.

    7:42 I wish there were more MCs as hardcore as Ike in these types of games. Like they're reasonably kind to the right people but show no mercy to people that deserve none. It's surprising how little there are in current JRPGs

      The thing that’s really cool about that scene is that if you unlock the secret flashback cutscene where Ike remembers that Sephiran wiped his memories to protect him from the trauma of witnessing his father kill his mother, Ike’s tone in this scene changes completely. Ike is confused, as he has seen firsthand that Sephiran is truly a good person who cares about those around him yet he cannot fathom why such a person would commit such horrific atrocities. Instead of confidently declaring he’s going to kill Sephiran in the most painful way possible he grows angry and demands more answers, as what Sephiran has told him doesn’t add up with what he has seen Sephiran do

    That quote is why Ike is the best Lord, no other Lord in the series would say he was going to torture his opponent to death, even Hector would only say that he's going enjoy killing someone, not do it as painfully as possible.

    • @jwil4286
      @jwil4286 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The best part of him being the best “lord” is that he’s technically a commoner (and yes I know the back half of PoR sees him made a noble, but he abdicates soon after the war is over).

  • @X1erra
    @X1erra ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I find this oddly satisfying, you know the kind of thing when you get to show off all your storytelling powers and finally connect all the dots to your grand story?
    And then at the same time, Sephiran truly cared for Sanaki. Just because of that, Sephiran was granted a swift death rather than a slow one. I feel he's a lot more relieved he got to release all that weight and end it all.

      General Petrine was the one who ordered Shiharam to open the floodgates. Sephiran is only indirectly responsible because he incited the Mad King's War in the first place.

      @ResurgentRaven 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@yuuyou3785By instigating the Mad King's War by his indirect methods, he essentially is in part responsible for the death of Shiharam.
      Petrine was more at fault, but Sephiran isn't walking away from that with clean hands.
      It's just like when Sephiran mentions to Ike earlier that he didn't order Greil killed, but he did order Zelgius to acquire the medallion by any means necessary. So he wasn't directly responsible, but he is connected in some way.

      If I recall he caused the Mad King's War but not the Serenes Massacre. The Massacre was caused by the Begnion Senate, as they had assassinated the current apostle and blamed it on the herons, leading to the common people to wipe out most of the herons in retribution. Sephiran didn't cause this and was in fact horrified by it, but it was basically the last straw that convinced him that Ashera needed to be awakened so the beorc and laguz could be wiped out.
