Strange VHS Closing #4 (One Of The Rarest Of All Time!!)

  • PLEASE NOTE: The skipping and "PLAY" flashing is my VCR, not the tape nor the strange ending itself, my Sharp VCR hates UAV tapes in EP Mode LOL! The audio glitching (that sounds like an old Atari game) is my Dazzle capture card. It's starting to do that with EP Mode tapes so I apologize for that. The audio glitching doesn't happen when I play this on an actual TV!
Digitized using my Sharp HC-V972 Hi-Fi VCR, Dazzle DVC100 (Red Color Variant), AmarecTV for Capturing, VirtualDub for De-Interlacing and Rendering.
You strange VHS ending lovers are gonna love this one!!
Here's a thrifting find from October 2018 that I grabbed from storage because I wanted to upload this closing for the longest time! This tape is the UAV tape of Heckle And Jeckle (Original 1989 VHS Version). When I got it, I assumed this was in LP mode cuz it looked like it had 15 minutes of film, but I was WAY off! This was in EP mode on a 20-minute tape. When I played it, I was like "Okay, surely this will have nothing at the end cuz it's a UAV tape, they're pretty uninteresting as strange Public Domain VHS companies go". But then I fast-forwarded to the end and when I saw what is on this upload, my jaw deopped so hard I swear to God it almost touched the floor LOL!! Before I get troll comments saying this: No, this is 100% real and not fake!! I wish to dear God I had editing talent to make this fake LOL!
    Contents:
    End Of "Rookie Revue"
    Black Screen
    Static
What are you waiting for? Watch it for yourself!

      Weird, huh?!😲
Yeah UAV tapes have that noise when playing on a VCR that doesn't have Hi-Fi, usually happens at the start of the tape. I put it on Mono in my VCR settings to get the full experience😉👌

@@tookeydookey Once more, some UAV tapes may ONLY use linear mono audio; where the rumbling sound is heard freely!

@@TheOriginalKellyLynnAnderson Yes I have some that are also Linear only, including some Andy Griffith tapes that have such!

@@tookeydookey Because of those being in LP mode; which LP tapes only use linear audio!

It just starts over at the first cartoon right after the fading rainbow pops up!

6:38 - I even heard the rumbling sound as it was in the linear track.

Yes this tape has Hi-Fi but I put in Linear in my VCR settings just to get the full experience😉👌
Plus the Hi-Fi track is kinda wonky on this tape.

@@tookeydookey That’s what I thought as with most EP mode UAV tapes, as they usually use hi-fi audio, while some may only use linear audio.

The rumbling sound on UAV tapes reminds me of the moaning sound used on tapes duplicated by Rank Video Services America from 1988-1997, because it’s only heard in the linear audio track.

Your bird jaw let’s say based on what I read in the description of this video. Hey at least it’s not the PBS Kids shenanigans at the end like on some of your other tapes, so much for those for a VHS collecting toucan like you! XD

Imagine putting this one on for the kiddies and to be greeted by a black screen and static at the end. Also, at this point i can tell what cartoons were playing: The Talking Magpies (of course), Dick Whittington's Cat, Yankee Doodle Donkey (hey jackass!) and the one that ended the tape Rookie Revue. (All at 7:27)

A full VHS upload of this will have to wait at a later date cuz every VCR I play this tape on doesn't play it properly. Maybe I'll be lucky soon! For right now, enjoy this extremely rare VHS ending!
