Hi Maya ~ I truly enjoy Egg Roll in a Bowl! I recently tried ground chicken & it is delicious to use. I did use ground dark meat. That added so much flavor. Oh... one additional ingredient I added is Hoisen Sauce. I happened to see another person add it when they prepared this dish, had it on hand and WOW, it enhanced the flavor for sure. I enjoy your videos & recipes. Thanks!! 🙋
I can't tell you how much ginger I have thrown away in the last 40 years! THANK YOU for letting me know I can freeze it. And the recipe looks delicious!
I find that with salt, hot & sweet, increasing any one requires the others to be balanced higher too. Ingredients like soy, fish sauce, carrots, onions & peppers affect all those flavor intensities. Tasting is required.
For the small amount of carrots used and divided between 5 or 6 servings, it is indeed keto friendly. I put my recipe for this dish (which was basically the same as this recipe) in a recipe analysis and the results showed, per 6 servings: 250 calories; 5.5 carbs; 1.8 Fiber; 16.24 Fat; 20.26 Protein (That would be 3.7 net carbs per serving) So just try this. It’s delicious! That little bit of carrot is really just for color.
Another recipe called for a few red pepper flakes added while cooking the meat. Then adding sriracha sauce and a T. of LC honey at the end with the sesame oil. The sesame oil will definitely add some amazing flavor.
I found freezing my fresh ginger not only eliminates waste, but it's also so much easier to grate, no need to defrost & no hassles with the threads
Thanks great idea ...no more waste.😮
I freeze mine as well, for use in recipes for food but mainly for making my own ginger ale. Woo Hoo!
Wow! Thanks for the great idea!
Looks delicious! Can’t wait to make it and put it in an egg wrap like a burrito.
Oooh, that sounds amazing, I need to try that!
Wholesome Yum! Indeed! Looks like a winner winner winner! Thank you!
Thank you so much! 😍

Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. The coleslaw mix is a great idea, no chopping all those vegetables. I will be making this recipe very soon.

Awww, you're very welcome! And hope you get to try it soon.
Hey, that looks so good - I’d just dig in with a BIG spoon! Love your recipes!
I tried it over white rice
Great, thank you ! 😊🎉
Thank you so much for sharing your recipes! Definitely a winner!
Looks delicious 😋 definitely going to make
I eat this every week! Delicious!
I add a teaspoon of Stevia to my soy sauce to give it a bit of sweetness. A lot of Asian foods contain sugar.

I'm glad I found this channel... the other page I followed said absolutely no carrots for keto and diabetics
All that’s missing is the crunch!
I slice wantons wrappers and fry for 30 seconds and top with them. I like crunch too!!!
I am going to try this.
This is delicious. Thank you so much for the recipe!
Added to my next week meal plan
What would go well with this aside from rice or fried wontons?
Wonderful!!!
One of my staples
There is ginger available in tubes now, ready to use.
What a fantastic idea. Yum😊
Yum 😋
I want to make this for my husband for our anniversary tomorrow 🎉
Happy anniversary! Hope you both love it!
😊😊😊
With organic ginger, I rinse, but don’t bother peeling it😁
Kosher home; no meat. Want recipe for a vegetarian eggroll. Must be light on oil, too. Using Pam.
You said this is keto friendly but its has carrots and not enough fat. It seems like the carbs are high.

Why have I never thought of using scissors for green onions? OMG.
Looks good but too much work.
It's a 15-20 minute meal, I'd say it doesn't get much less work than that for dinner unless you get takeout :)
@@WholesomeYum Any less work and you’d be grabbing frozen egg rolls from the freezer aisle of Walmart!!!
No, no, no…. Try making home made tamales then tell me this recipe was too much work! 🤦♀️
Uh-- that knife is dangerously big, but the recipe is interesting.
Hmm made it last night, it was lacking flavor for sure. Very bland. It needs something just can’t figure it out.
I add red Thai curry paste and liquid Stevie to taste>perfect
Sesame oil
Add Chinese 5 spice, pork rinds for crunch 😊

O M G - get to the point !! - such a long winded description of a recipe 😢 - gave up with boredom
