I've been watching Devons channel for awhile now it seems that he is a great teacher. You my friend are a freaking professor in the science of arm wrestling. I'm glad I found your channel. Like and subscribed.
Travis definitely has better advice than Devon. Don't do what Devon says I'd say actually. Do what Travis says. But Devon is good for the sport bevause of his charisma
Damn I don't arm wrestle but even with my limited knowledge I can tell... "that's good shit right there!" The explanation and demonstration is top notch Travis. You also come across really good on the cam. Very authoritative and matter of fact. The way you talk and carry yourself demands respect of the viewer and then you follow through with some gold ass knowledge lol
This is good stuff. Toprolling is a tried and true way to beat "overall stronger" opponents. Most people don't train wrists and fingers enough! Very satisfying move! The bit on elbow positioning was especially helpful. My question is a bit of an odd one. You often hear the kings move connected to "willingness to break your arm" - But does it ever happen? I've not been able to find a single case. Nearly all breaks are humeral fractures from hooking with open shoulder. Ps. 8:42 *Setup* was good, but it's hard to see proper rotation and back pressure without resistance. Just something to think about for future lessons!
Morten R L Yes, you could break an arm at the elbow joint, but it’s highly unlikely to happen because the “kings mover” will usually let himself be pinned before reaching the necessary downforce pressure to break it. It all comes down to leverage and the only way to break the elbow joint is if there’s enough down force pressure at the hand and your body is anchored down by something not allowing you to rise up as the downforce pressure at the end of your arm increases OR if the downforce pressure at the hand is strong and fast enough, in which case your elbow joint will snap before you rise up to relieve the pressure and be pinned. An easy demonstration of this, is a tree branch placed on the ground with a rock under it right in the middle, the rock represents the table (arm wrestling) and where the tree branch and the rock meet represent the (elbow joint). If you step on the side of the branch that’s facing up which represents the (hand) the other side which represents the (arm wrestler) will rise up and you’ll pin the (hand) side on the ground, BUT if you place enough weight on the (arm wrestler) side of the branch you’ll create an anchor (which is in essence the point of being under the table) LoL... So, then as you step on the (hand) side of the branch it’ll hold its position at FIRST (there the effectiveness of the move) until enough downforce pressure is applied and then it’ll snap where the rock and the tree branch meet at the hypothetical elbow joint. This is considering the fact that you’ve anchored the branch permanently where as in an arm wrestling match the anchor is only as permanent as to how long Michael Todd chooses to be under the table... but as you’ve noticed he’ll rise up eliminating the anchor and be pinned saving his elbow joint from ever breaking.
@Morten R L Basically no...because you just drop your weight and let the mechanics of the straps do the rest..your arm is not in bad position neither absorbs lateral forces ..Todd many times jokes with his wife while performing it..Some “flop wrist “ cases are far more dangerous. But , keep in mind there are some minimum requirements for one to perform a successful KM ..
Get ready boys.....we gon learn today.....for real I have watched all of Devon seminars on TH-cam and Travis is able to convey much more, in much less time and dare I say more efficiently than Devon, could be the herb, maybe some edibles, but I do love his crazy af analogies he uses all the time! Thanks guys for the video, subbed
This was the final tombstone imo .. We’ll never see Travis compete in high level again...it was already obvious tbh. Well , good luck with your channel sir , cocky or not , one of the most gifted and natural talents in the sport..if motivation and mentality were there he could have achieved 3 times more .
😯, Wow. Very impressed with this video and Travis’s ability to teach arm wrestling. I always knew Travis was a Pro but being a Professor 👨🏫 of Arm Wrestling I didn’t expect.
This is exactly how i hit my side pressure machine and its how i set up my high hook. I try to get my set up to look the same for all my moves but im absolutely strategizing on my opponent’s in my weight class ill watch them warm up since i pull cold ill watch their left hand matches even though i only pull righty its absolutely no guarantee but its some kind of data i can gather and Ill also watch them pull righty and since i train and experiment in all styles im not afraid to try and counter them from all the info i gathered. The only set up i have that’s different are my two variations of a low hand top roll.
Travis, when you coming to South Florida? I’m new to Armwrestling, been training with some strong a$$ Russians, but they don’t speak a whole lot of English. I’m lefty, they say a natural top roller and way to good looking to be doing this without a coach. A couple lessons from you and I might actually know what I’m doin. This video was great!
Actually... That WAS indeed good shit, right there! Probably the most easy to understand and informative video tutorial I've yet seen on arm wrestling technique.
Next topic sir @travis bagent . It would be nice if you tackled about injuries of our sport and how to avoid such terrible injuries and how to rehabilitate them
Travis, u need to do a seminar here in Juneau Alaska! Hardly anyone knows how to or cares about arm wrestling 😢 theres so much potential, but They think it's all just brute strength. Plus It'd be such an honor, Sir. I hold u to a higher pedestal then all. Yeah yeah, Brezenk the Goat, all these other monsters. But I'm a loyal dude, u peaked my interest into the sport, I'm forever thankful.
If some how you(Travis) and Denis Cyplenkov can work out a deal with sponsors or whoever, where you 2 arm wrestle(both arms)and do some sort of a pay per view platform...I’d pay to watch that, and I’m not crazy into arm wrestling
As already mentioned Cyplenkov has kidney failure. Doing heavy androgens of the oral variety for years on end will fuck you up. Prediction, Cyplenkov is done.
@@9999rockey To be honest Levan just looks like a natural fukin beast , of course hes on something but freaking cyplenkov you can see from so many miles away hes been on the juice for so fukin long its disgusting.
@@anthonyw9129 that's why these motherfuckers are getting boost up because they get support from people like you. Many naturals are there in armwrestling they are also good. Why to risk life.
I think Pushkars started as more of a press and less backpressure. Not saying Pushkar didnt use backpressure, but that initial hit seemed more like a press.
Wow! Fucking wow!! Ok, any time I see the post on Facebook with all the greats faces on there, and they ask "who do you want to learn from?" I am choosing the Beast!!

Had a session with Travis a few weeks ago and this was the same thing he talked about then. It’s been my mantra since then. Legit!

Very good instruction. Great detailed breakdown.
Was expecting him to knock down Travis' phone any moment with his left hand, and Travis killing him afterwards :D

Best video of Travis so far... Really helpful stuff. Perfect explanation
This channel is something you should’ve been doing a long time ago. You’re channel would by far be the best AW channel and it wouldn’t even be close.
