I work in a museum gift shop, and a couple of weeks ago a woman came up to the counter with a Survival skills book for kids. I joked to her, "I should probably buy copy of this, everything I know about 'survival' I picked up from watching a Canadian guy do bushcraft camping on TH-cam." She said, "Thin guy, really short hair?" and I blinked at her and said "...Joe Robinet?" She laughed and said "Yeah, I watch him, too!"
So you have at least two devoted fans in the Pittsburgh, PA area! 🤣 And thanks for another fun vicarious adventure.

Been watching you for quite some time, along with a few other folks . Your videos are so much better in my opinion. You seem to be the only one with a voice. Someone watching to learn, will know why you do things the way you do,and if you do something that doesn't work, you'll explain why. Hope you can continue to enjoy the outdoors for a very long time.

One thing I learned from experience, that works for me, and seems easiest, when dragging bigger logs, have the lighter end towards you, and just lift it up, right there, use rope for grip, if needed, and drag the heavy end. Is still a lot of work, but easier. and bigger rope is easier to grip, cuts into your shoulder less, oh, if you're gonna drag stuff or carry, etc, have a shorter length of bigger rope, and a permanent loop, woven into one end, ideally, then just choker it, won't slip, if you slid the choker to the top, and side with the most tension, it'll bite and bind, as soon as tension is off of it, it'll break free.
