I like to think I'm a pretty tough guy but my main soft spot is animals and it makes me feel like a big softy watching how much that dog clearly seems to love be outdoors. He lives a great life thanks to a great owner. Love it.
A good friend of mine brought over a steak and cooked it for my dog before he died, I was very grateful. He ate a 32oz steak in like 5 seconds lmao. That was the day before he died, we had him put down because he was in so much pain. It was a hard decision but he could barely walk and he would yelp so bad you could tell how bad it hurt. He would fall over constantly but always got back because he always was a stubborn dog. We have him buried underneath the tree he always chased squirrels up. RIP our dank doggo Skooter

yeh thats Scotland mate, you dont have anywhere down south that you can even camp or make fires on. im not even sure of the uk fire laws but it seems that 90% of public property you cant have a natural fire.
Redwing S England has a lot of national parks for sure, like the Lake District. The laws are more strict in England tho when it comes to wild camping, the right to roam and making fires
That's a lie, uk has a lot of places you can go. Firstly is you truly wanted to do it you would be prepared to travel, joe who you seem to think has the bush in his backyard travels hours and hours to get to his spots. Secondly, one of the biggest bushcraft youtuber TA outdoors is from the UK and he has done pretty damn well for a place with 'no wilderness'. EVERYBODY wants/expects free content, and content makers do gotta finance their productions... so... now what? As Cyndi Lauper says, "money changes EVERYthang." Yeah you are right, especially that type of Content deserves and needs some kind of revenue, especially as this kind is harder to monetize through TH-cam. The Like/Dislike Ratio seems to be one of those ever-present TH-cam mysteries, and i have heard of Myths about Bots liking/disliking random videos to make detection of their bought&sold likes and views harder. Even if you start out in your back yard, do it. A steak is weirdly more satisfying if you created the fire yourself and eat it under the sky. Get a magnesium fire striker for like 5 bucks and give it a go. Dog is optional. Buy much bigger steak if dog. (and definitely try out the recipes from the book Uncommon Taste, which can be found in Skyrim)

The great thing about watching these bushcraft videos is that I pick up ton of useful knowledge outside of consumer media you see today. No ads, no sales, no fluff entertainment, just pure survival knowledge, even if I barely do any myself. This videos also shows me what many people are missing nowadays; practical living, getting in touch with nature, spending time with yourself, and just being independent of "man-made", besides the basic survival needs of sustenance, sleep and fitness. Where would you find this in the idiot box, without the price tag? I appreciate that you take the time to make this experience as enjoyable as it is informational to be learned from, and I do hope you'll continue to make these great videos and be rewarded for them in the near future. And I hope more people would spend more time watching out for these types of content on our already publicly available Internet and be able to make good use of them to better themselves. Cheers

Jonny Beddow the uk has so many places to do this especially in 🏴 scotland, I normally go to aveimore area in north Scotland where you can wild camp anywhere
yeh thats Scotland mate, you dont have anywhere down south that you can even camp or make fires on. im not even sure of the uk fire laws but it seems that 90% of public property you cant have a natural fire.
Redwing S England has a lot of national parks for sure, like the Lake District. The laws are more strict in England tho when it comes to wild camping, the right to roam and making fires
It’s not as strict up north, I would say check all the national park or local codes before starting anything just in case.
That's a lie, uk has a lot of places you can go. Firstly is you truly wanted to do it you would be prepared to travel, joe who you seem to think has the bush in his backyard travels hours and hours to get to his spots. Secondly, one of the biggest bushcraft youtuber TA outdoors is from the UK and he has done pretty damn well for a place with 'no wilderness'. Just because you don't want to actually go and find it doesn't mean it's not there. Sorry if this came off as mean but people saying these types of things annoys the living s*** out of me

And even if this guy really does appreciate some of these products... his "pitch" for the stuff can hardly not be effected by the influence peddling reward system.
Sam Harris (author/podcaster) did, I think, very briefly, hock some things on his podcasts a few years ago, but pretty quickly saw the perils of it and (in part because of his fame) was able to successfully move to "viewer supported" podcasts... and now most of his podcasts have a 7 minute sermon (that he encourages folks who have already heard it to skip) on why we all (who can afford a spare cup of coffee @ *$s) SHOULD support the content that we feed our minds... if we don't... somebody else will … when was the last time you got a free lunch that was actually free?
Regarding my pet peeve for people who complain when there is some small percentage of thumbs down on a video they imagine is "purely good," first I'd point out that the 102k up vs. 2.5k down is a 97.6% up rating... most "good" videos are lucky to get a 90% up vote... almost nothing gets a 99% … some thumbs down are mistaken clicks; some are motivated by things we don't see; and trolls be trolls, etc.... but now, sadly my attempt to shout that I'm disgusted with people who complain that they are disgusted with people who vote thumbs down, has lead me to a more saddened heart. I"m not a gonna thumbs down it... but maybe I won't thumbs up it neither... in any case... he was "up front" enough to post all those links (even if the "pitch" had a hazier quality to it).
Yeah you are right, especially that type of Content deserves and needs some kind of revenue, especially as this kind is harder to monetize through TH-cam.
The Like/Dislike Ratio seems to be one of those ever-present TH-cam mysteries, and i have heard of Myths about Bots liking/disliking random videos to make detection of their bought&sold likes and views harder.
I also came to the same "No Thumbs either way" conclusion.

When he brought out the pale ale with that amazing steak I was DONE. Man. I should do this instead of play games that simulate it.
Even if you start out in your back yard, do it. A steak is weirdly more satisfying if you created the fire yourself and eat it under the sky. Get a magnesium fire striker for like 5 bucks and give it a go. Dog is optional. Buy much bigger steak if dog. (and definitely try out the recipes from the book Uncommon Taste, which can be found in Skyrim)

The great thing about watching these bushcraft videos is that I pick up ton of useful knowledge outside of consumer media you see today. No ads, no sales, no fluff entertainment, just pure survival knowledge, even if I barely do any myself.
This videos also shows me what many people are missing nowadays; practical living, getting in touch with nature, spending time with yourself, and just being independent of "man-made", besides the basic survival needs of sustenance, sleep and fitness. Where would you find this in the idiot box, without the price tag?
I appreciate that you take the time to make this experience as enjoyable as it is informational to be learned from, and I do hope you'll continue to make these great videos and be rewarded for them in the near future. And I hope more people would spend more time watching out for these types of content on our already publicly available Internet and be able to make good use of them to better themselves. Cheers
