I can see this young man being very influential in the outdoor community. His skills are so much more genuine than the survivalist contestants on reality TV shows.
Bushcraft at its best! No loud annoying music, no senseless talking, no bashing fishes head with things or pocking dead animals eyeballs out just pure and simple. Your videos guides us in with our imagination! Thanks for another great show.
This guy is a true artist . Almost every camera shot he does is beautiful , all done in still shots . I am willing to bet this vid took more than a few days for him to shoot . Mr Nielson you are truly in your element , not only in the outdoors but in film production .
My heritage is Skandinavian Norse. I have been an outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman since 8 or 9 years old....I am inspired by your videos authenticity to feel the warmth of the fire, the appearance of hard working weathered hands, and the taste of a hunky of fire rosted fish washed down by cold mountain crystal lake water......I'm reminded of a long ago childhood when I roamed the woods and fished streams and rivers in search of fresh fish and game....Now, I am an old man in a rocking chair reliving my youthful freedoms vicariously through your artful, educational, well scaped and scoped videos....may the woods and its waters always inspire your mind and heal you when you need it...thank you!
Everything about this video fascinates me: the area you find yourself in, obviously a northern Shield-type land scale like Minnesota or Wisconsin. Everything you do is fascinating, tying the tipi poles together, making the entrance frame. All of the tools you use: none of them are store bought. They all have ‘patina’, evidence of long term use. This is an excellent video to watch. Thank you very much!
You know what I appreciate about this video? That you don't talk, you dont focus attention on your self but instead on your work. I like it cause I can still think about my life and thing I would like to achieve while watching your version of wilderness camping. Thank you! And God bless you!:)
Truly appreciate your skills. I honesty do NOT understand anybody giving thumbs down on this pure form of therapy. I'm living vicariously through you. Thank you from Canada
In an age where so many feel the constant need to communicate everything they do and think, it's a welcome change of pace to watch someone without a word being spoken.
ikr. we need this kind of soothing videos in this busy world😅 kudos to this guy who soothe our soul by making this channel. and i've just realized something after watching 'no-talking' videos (bushcraft, ASMR cooking, ASMR mukbang, etc), that everyone can be a content creator even if they're not good at talking (or they're unable to talk) in front of people/camera.
Nordic bushcrafters showing the world, once again, how’s done right! No stupid egos, not selling, no non sense music, not begging for thumbs up! Fantastic!
Thank you very much for this video, it was very relaxing and pleasant. I almost fell asleep, but not because it was boring, but because it is quite refreshing.
I have spent a fair amount of time reading the comments from some of your viewers. Adoration, thanks and splendor comprises almost all the content in the comments section. It really is wonderful how we can all be a part of your adventures. See what you see and imagine what that fish tastes like or feel the heat from the fire that you created. You have admirers from the Philippines, Iraq, Norway, Sweden, Europa, Canada and the U.S. You bring such joy to all of us, and you inspire us as well. Thank you very much for bringing us along on your travels and taking us to your forge, sharing your knowledge and talents. May you have peace for the remainder of your days.
What he does is more than just Bushcraft it's woodscraft and he's a true woodsman!!! Bushcraft is a narrow part of what he does, but his scope is much broader, than just Bushcraft. He a modern day Viking blacksmith version of Horace kephart, and nessmuk rolled into one guy!!!
I’ll never understand why the thumbs down on these kind of videos, some people are just ridiculous.. cheers and support from Mexico 🇲🇽 wonderful content, Rune, you are the best, no doubt.
You are not showing 'survival' techniques; it's more like 2 days chilling in the woods enjoying everything from the feel of nature to a relaxed way of preparing shelter, starting a fire, preparing meals. There's NO hurry, everything is enjoyed at a leisurely pace, no survival instinct madness. Love it!
I'm so happy you are not vegetarian or vegan. You show the incredible power of life. Enjoying the food as it is, made with your own hands. Thank you for taking us all to the mysterious fairy tale about a human being.
Don't waste time for short versions. I believe all followers are waiting for a 40-minute 1-hour video like me. I watch with great pleasure. No talk, no material ads. Just the nature and talent you have. The region you live in has a truly magnificent nature. Please continue ... Thanks for sharing.
Love your videos so much. Just noticed that you're an experienced bushman camping alone next to a boulder field and a water source. Don't become another 411 missing person on us! I'd be devastated! Take care out there.
You are brilliant in your use of nature. So idyllic and peaceful. I think we are all living vicariously through you and wishing to escape our 9 to 5 jobs and come join you. Thank you for giving us this to watch.
I like this guy to. There is no BLA BLA Bla in his videos. Just pure video enjoyment. I get the impression this guy could just go into the wilderness and live.
Das ist für mich richtiges Bushcraft. Hier geht es noch um die Natur und sie zu spüren und nicht tonnenweise Hightech Ausrüstung in den Wald zu schleppen. Wundervolle Videos, danke
There's something to learn from Bertram's videos, no matter how much you think you already know about being outdoors. If nothing else, you can learn how badly you wish you were also there, lolz!
What is it about this guy that is so relaxing and soothing to watch. It's better than listening to the water roll up on a bench. Even better than listening to rain on the roof. Please keep the videos coming.
At First a thumb up.👍 Great to have a new Video in so a Short Time. Always a honor that you take me with you. Trank you so much. Kind regards from Germany Kris.
I just love the Northern people. They are grewing up with their wonderful nature and learn to respect it. Norway is my dream country. I'd like to move their in the future.
So far your videos are best sleeping natural music... I have been watching your videos before I sleep... love the natural sounds.. thanks for uploading.
I like your composure, calm, confident. Gives me the impression that you are not out there trying to impress any body. I was enjoying your video, and was disappointed when I read: "thank you for watching". I will share your video with my grand children. Good job, and thank you. !!!
Good afternoon Bertram. You are a very talented person with a developed sense of beauty and harmony in the world. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your work. You give people wonderful moments of unity with nature. May God grant you health and strength to continue shooting. Low bow to you from Russia and shake your hand firmly !!!
I love this wild freedom...you can fish and make fire and build great things...here with us there are everywhere only Prohibitions for everything. So I enjoy your videos all the more. Just relaxing and interesting. The fish looked delicious and I like these skins, look cozy 😊. Great praise and greetings from Germany, Saxon Switzerland 😊
Permanent!?! On the water!!?!!! And oh my goodness there are fish too!!!!! I will officially have a perfect weekend. Beautiful as always, a peaceful gift...thank you!!!!
Bertram, your calm, self assured demeanour & the accuracy of your movements and actions describe a true master of your craft. I am enthralled by your content, you deserve ALL the subscribers. Thank you 🇩🇰🔥🔪🌲🎣🥄👍
I've always had a soft spot for the concept of survival in the wild and your video shows exactly how I want to live at some point. Very inspirational. Thank you!
I enjoyed soo much this video that i will share it everywhere , hahaha, Great production. I just sit and chill on my night while I watch . Great Work indeed!
It amazes me that you can start a fire without clearing the area of vegetation. In the US Pacific Northwest, we would have a forest fire. I love the idea that your wet foliage allows such a benefit. Thank you for sharing this peace.
Love your videos man, keep up the great work I love the peace ,and thanks for taking the time to record and edit these for us! Also I just wanted to ask, did that fish taste as good as it looked?
Once again, an excellent video. I like the stones by the lake 15:15 - 16:30 and the 2 points of wiew for the camera. Your videos are totally timeless, between Xth century and now. We can always learn something new about shelters, eating, etc. I'm wainting for the part 2, (don't burn yout hair when you light your fire !!!).

No talking, all action. Masterful. Best bushcrafting videos on TH-cam.
i agree totally.....sometimes my mind think theres "danheim" music in the background, but its just him the viking giving me these flashbacks ;)
Hello from Norway. Enjoy all your videos very much. No narration, no music, just nature and crafting. Beautiful and inspirational.
I can see this young man being very influential in the outdoor community. His skills are so much more genuine than the survivalist contestants on reality TV shows.
I like the simplicity - no salt, no oil, no flying pans, no sleeping bags, pads, etc. Just raw nature and pure experience.
…and all this only with iPad 😂

Agreed. This is not survival. This is a stunning home of mother nature
I wonder if 'survival preparation' is something that only makes sense when we're competing with our fellow man in society.
One man show. Totally awesome. Great thing is "no talking" and expressing everything. Love from great Pakistan

I always enjoy every single one of your videos, you've quickly grown to become my favourite youtuber. Keep up the fantastic bushcrafting, man!
This was a very interesting video; well done. It's worth mentioning that when it comes to water and taking it from a normally pristine source like that lake or rivers, etc., one must be careful even though the water can seem very pure based upon the geography. One never knows if an animal has died and fallen into the stream further up or if a run-off of some sort has tainted the water. In a REAL survival situation, it's always best to purify the water before ingesting even if you use a few drops of chlorine or another purification method. Also remember; NO filter will remove toxins. So be careful!
The description really adds value to the content! I hope to see new stuff soon and I hope you are fine!
