A Poem for you : th-cam.com/video/ysFrUvBH7Ic/w-d-xo.html In the olde days in Britain, The drystone wallers spent the summer months, out on the moors, building walls to keep the sheep in. They often spent months, camping up on the moors, eating mostly sheep, and provisions their families brought up to them from the villages below. These walls still criss-cross the moors... This Tradition dates back to the Neolithic, And the remains of their shelters are still there today
You inspired me to make my first overnight in the wild this summer. I found a nice hill with a lot of large rocks at a local forest and built a lean-to with stones and dead wood. I made a smoky fire to keep most of the mosquitoes away, and cooked a slab of beef on the rocks as you did. It was fun, but the noises at night were a bit unnerving. Coyotes were howling from the other side of the hill. But in the end, it was a great adventure. I have since hiked by there a couple of times and it seems that someone else had used the campsite, and even improved on the design to make it more waterproof against the rain. Keep up the great content. Your narrations are very clear and concise. You have a remarkable grasp of English.
This is undeniably one of the if not the best winter survival video I have ever watched and I have been an avid consumer for more than ten years! What a delicious treat. Thank you so much for producing and sharing. Your work is outstanding in every category!!!!
Lukas, I would have years ago, if I were younger, or with you by my side now. You enable me to dream through your videos, you have a very resilient soul and calmness about you that I love, the more I learn about you the more I like and I’m sure I’m not the only one. You camp in the most beautiful places it is restful to my spirit , your camera work is brilliant you capture the islands beauty, I would love it to be there, I feel thankful you let us share a beautiful part of your life.💖
White snow falling is only beautiful in movies or for idle people, but for workers it contains many dangers and troubles. Wish you always peace and health. Great video. Congratulations...
I work outdoors and am an avid outdoorsman and I love it when it snows. Dangerous? Can be. But to say it isn’t beautiful is something I don’t agree with
You need three to four dm of very thin pine branches to isolate from the cold ground. They need be a lot of green pine needles on the branches. A smart place to build your base is away from open areas if not you will have the wind to fight with.
Your videos are so relaxing I admire your strength and courage for making them also thank you for taking a bath some of the other videos I watched stay dirty the whole time
Many find solace in retreating to primitive customs. There is a spot in all of us that remembers the simple goodness of sleeping next to a fire on the ground.
Hi from NW Florida, just has the strongest hurricane here on record landfall right above me. God that snow and upright forest look so peaceful right now.
Watching you walk barefoot in snow , near naked, with windy weather equivalent to 10F., and swimming in that icy subarctic water proves you're a true Finn! (Haha, you must ice water racing through your veins!) P.s. Drinking that tropical coconut water, and dining on that delicious looking coconut meat looked just too cool! Far out man.
It seems that every outdoor survival book I've read...says not to use rocks from water when you make a fire surround. I grant you that I am not a woodsman, just quoting the books.
Hi Lukas. I am watching your video and thank you for the narration. I like to hear your voice. Please help me, I am confused. Eight days ago in a previous video you were wearing shorts, but this video it’s snowing! Are the temperatures that different where you live? Also, I am like you about eating rare/raw beef. I love it!! I believe I got that trait from my father, as that was his way too. I will finish watching your video now, as I am only halfway through. I hope you can answer my question. Thank you, Friend.😊
Would you spend three days on this island?
Yes 😊
Sure! 30 years ago 😊. I love watching these young energetic folk.
Would you sponsor my visa??From Bangladesh😅😅😅😅

Retired lady in sweden. These days are over for me but I love to watch you build a safe place and cook on fire. Gives me peace in my soul. ❤

Just goes to show how kind mother nature can be by offering natural resources to keep you warm.

OMG that water is cold and you still challenged yourself to swim in it. Great mental toughness
Very calming video, with the shore and fire sounds, it's perfect! Kiitos
You sound like an endless Skyrim cutscene. Your videos are super relaxing. Great job!
Deberías hacer el campamento más lejos de la agua para no pasar tanto frío en la noche ✌️
Hope everyone is ok in Florida, the snow is so beautiful 🤗🇺🇲

😅❤
I live where we don't get snow. So when we get snow it is very beautiful and we appreciate it. But yes I understand your point

Crap.!
The sky is blue but dangerous when it rains sometimes for humans.
Love watching your videos from the warmth of my sofa! 😊

Being a city boy I love watching your videos really enjoy them
Much better with narration, man !
From the videos I’ve seen you enjoy the cold which it’s completely good. As long as you stay safe you’re good.😊
Nice primitive shelter and good bedding with foam pad, good supply of firewood, just don't set yourself on fire
I'm always happy watching your video like a have a snow or something like that, cause in Indonesian, we don't have snow weather
Your videos are so relaxing I admire your strength and courage for making them also thank you for taking a bath some of the other videos I watched stay dirty the whole time

Wonderful narrative and bushcraft skills.

If you build a reflection wall behind the fire ,you will stay much warmer.

Reminds me of Skyrim. Great video!
The moment he wakes up, grabs a piece of cheese and snacks on it 🙂
Nice work! Bigger builds and all are the way forward! 😁

Great job
A beautiful bleak morning? Lol! I am enjoying your video from Texas.
I love your vidios
You could use compressed snow between the stones as a cement.
Nothing beats a cold bath before bed time.
Best regards from Megève ... ( French alps ) .
Nice trip ❄️🔥🌳🌲🌲Great 👌
Always good stuff 👌
nice my bro🔥
Burn the small branches to create a small fire..when the fire dies it creates a warm bed

It seems that every outdoor survival book I've read...says not to use rocks from water when you make a fire surround. I grant you that I am not a woodsman, just quoting the books.
There’s a reason for it. Wet rocks hold moisture and heating them can cause them to burst & crack, launching pieces which then can cause injuries.
好了,我關注你了❤
Damn , i won’t even go swimming when it’s 80 degrees out.
Love from Portugal ❤
Please be careful when using rocks by or in a river for your fire. They can in fact explode.
You’ve definitely had your moneys worth out of that jumper sir 😮
Super
Beautiful place
I heard that you are not supposed to use wet rocks from the water in campfire. When they are getting hot they can blow up.
One of the more relaxing channels between so much propaganda. Always fun to watch

I'm glad to know that you know the ground can kill you faster than anything. What kind of sleeping bag do you have and what kind of insulation in it?

I'm freezing just watching ,and it's 80 degrees here .
I like it good work 🇵🇰
You said something about the reason you do this is to reconnect to the meaning of life. Have you found what that meaning of life is?
Looks like Skellige from Witcher series :D
I kayak on my channel, this winter I’m going to try some river kayaking and camping
curious now, did the early Vikings actually ever get to taste coconut?
Possibly, a european swallow could have carried it up north.
Wow very good 🌧️👍🏻🙋🏻♀️
Never heard of frozen Island 🏝️
I would be feeling the birds if I was there
Feeling birds? Perv
Have you ever been back to your extreme winter camping site to see if its still standing
A nice tent with a stove would do it for me . Are you going to put the rocks back where you found them?
❤❤❤❤
I would love it!! NO people!
Are there any animals on this island or are you completely safe ?
Hello
