If you ever come back to this, here's a small tip. If using one of your favor tokens will allow you to complete a public objective, it's always worth giving it up since the tokens are worth 1 each and the objectives are usually worth 4 or 5. I had a lot of fun watching and learning the game in this episode!
I'm sure the opponent is pronounced "an-Tony" instead of "Anthony". Antoni Gaudí was the architect that designed the Sagrada Familia :) A big marvel of my city... still in construction years after Gaudí's death.

I prefer Azul over Sagrada and I own both.
man, roll player is SO good. it just arrived in here in italy, then the pandemic (do you see what i did ther?) came out.
@@19RaiD88 Roll Player's solo mode isn't bad though so that is a plus if you are locked down alone. If you like Roll Player and don't have the Monsters and Minions expansion I can't recommend it enough. After I added that it actually made the base game (which is really good already) feel like it was incomplete by comparison.
21:28 You almost had the keys to the kingdom! You should have used your "Move a Dice" power to move the Blue 4 down, and then placed the Red 6 in its place. In general the only thing you lacked was using the power, but great strategy in there. Anyway, great vid, seems like a great digital board game to add to the collection, and I hope to see it on the NLSS soon!
Hey NL, sagrada(digital) is made by Direwolf Digital who ALSO made a game called Eternal: Card Game. It is a CCG which draws heavily from MTG mechanics but IMO improves on them, it is free, online, and also has singleplayer content.
Would love to see you playing some more board games in this series. As you mentioned they can be really hit and miss, but they are inevitably cheaper and take less space than the physical copies.

I'd also love to see some more complex boardgames on TTS, though I know it's an unlikely proposition since viewers are... stupid and don't want to learn board game rules. But maybe something funny like Battlestar Galactica with its traitor mechanism would be really cool!

Hey NL, thanks for all the top tier content you've been putting out lately. The NL Tries series is a really cool way to see lots of different games, and the Golden Goblets are fun too. The other channels (films, sports) I watch regularly aren't really doing anything during the lockdown, so you're literally carrying TH-cam for me right now.
Another great showcase man! I’m loving all this variety and exploration via the tries series. It’s kinda a shame there’s not enough time for you to get deeper into every single one of these games (not that they all necessarily need it for what you’re doing). Keep up the great content NL!

Sagrada is a great game, and your strategy was really solid every game, with the only mistake being not using your powers. I'd like to see you wipe the floor on the NLSS

My boss plays the physical version of this and she posted about the digital version being available. Their trailer didn't really explain the mechanics that well so I wasn't too sure. Two days later, lo and behold, I get the idea behind it now.

Game looks super cool, watching you play it gave me an aneurysm but that's expected at this point.
You know NL, some puzzle games you may struggle with" cough cough snake bird" but when it comes to colors and math you got it down. You are ready for kindergarten.

Hey NL fun video, I love watching you play new board games. I love board games and would highly recommend to you a board game called Aeon's End.
There is a great steam client for it. It is a co-op deck building game, similar to a game called Dominion but with a lot of fun variety of monsters that each player is working as a team to defeat.
Each monster is very different than the one before and each character has a slightly different style that makes them feel different. However, similar enough to never feel overwhelming.
I think it would be a great game for you to try :)

This game is made by Direwolf Digital, the makers of several board games and also the Digital CCG Eternal, another game Egg would really like.
While I do like having a physical board game for feel of the pieces, I do agree that video game versions are great both for the automation of setup/rules and for the ease of access to other players. I would love a video game version of Betrayal at House on the Hill. I know its on tabletop simulator(which I would love to see you guys play on the NLSS), but it's own game like Sagrada would be great.

Antoni is referring to Antoni Gaudí, the Catalan architect of La Sagrada Familia.
Antoni is the Catalan version of Anthony, or Spanish Antonio.
Also, La Sagrada Familia is incredible, if anyone ever gets a chance to go inside it I highly recommend it, it's absolutely breathtaking.
Yeah I can only agree. Even if you are not into churches and cathedrals, La Sagrada Familia is worth a visit. So is Barcelona!
I like that it's has almost a unique take on some original board game ideas. I get mix of sodoku and Yahtzee vibe from it. I do think board games are meant to be shared under good company, which for me does bring the allure down just a tad. All in all good video NL.

Hey NL! If you're still looking for digitized board games that work well (including online), I've wanted to suggest Galaxy Trucker for a while (not to be confused with Space Food Truck). It's arguably better than the physical version, and it's a great board game!
The first thing that I thought about when I saw the title Sagrada was La montana Sagrada. Great movie by the way, you should all watch it.

If you're going through a drought of games to check out on Northenlion Tries I'd suggest giving Neverinth on Steam a shot. It's in early access and some of its mechanics are a bit confusing to grasp at first but it does a pretty decent job of blending roguelike mechanics with Dark Souls style of high tension action combat

Great NLSS game, you can interact indirectly with other players by paying attention to their board and trying to poach their pieces.

I wish I could have the convenience of digital board games with the tactility of physical ones. I was playing Aerion (solo tabletop dice game) on TTS instead of my very similar solo games from the same publisher just so I wouldn't have to put it away when I was done... but there's something about the diceyness of dice and the cardiness of cards. 🤔

Visual style feels less like stained glass and more like...water colors I want to say? Game feel reminds me of all the edutainment games I played vociferously until I was 10.
You should also play Roll for the Galaxy. Very fun dice drafting game.
