Holedown has been out on mobile for a bit but is now making it's way to PC. It is a delightful and addictive game with minimalist mechanics but a surprising depth of strategy. Check it out!

About this game:
Dig deep underground by shooting balls and breaking blocks, traversing your way to the planet cores. With limited shots per round and some blocks fixed firmly to the wall, thoughtfully strategize and aim for maximum impact. Knock down as many blocks as possible while collecting crystals for upgrades and getting deeper beneath the surface.
Choose your ideal upgrades such as more starting balls, more shots per round, or storing more crystals, based on your play style and overall strategy. Work your way into the procedurally generated planets with a delightful spectacle of bouncing as you get closer to the planet’s core. - เกม

I like how the rounded edges (and a no collision bounce limit?) get rid of the 'bounce from left to right as much as possible' strat that these games ended up having.

It's amazing how much just curving the corners of the blocks helps a breakout clone feel fresh
Reminds me a lot of Drawkanoid, which NL also played. Similar graphical style and premise.

Late to the party with this one but check out another minimalistic mobile game called Twinfold! It's a mix of Threes with roguelite mechanics. One of the few mobile games I play and well up your alley.
I've played a lot of this kinda game and this looks like a really good version of it, the best I've seen in awhile at least.

Visually this game reminds me of a lot of the bad mobile games that you see in ads on youtube constantly that are just full of ads themselves

Hi NL! I would like to see a NL Tries Dungeons Forever, it's a free-to-play available on Steam and seems like a cool Level Editor. I think it's like an Endless Mode Mario Maker but without Mario or something like that. Btw, love your content, thanks for helping me pass the time!
I picked this up on mobile about 10 minutes into the video. It is super good. Nice to see a proper paid game rather than a free to play but impossible to beat without paying game.

There was a game exactly like this on mobile. I can’t remember what it was called but you could shoot hundreds of balls at a time if you were good enough and it would go endless at a certain point. It was very addictive and entertaining much like nl himself
