    The last hurrah of ultra-expensive supercars that were real works of art, and that actually came with a manual transmission. I still fawn over them every time I see one, twenty years later!

      PJ dude I’m in the same boat. I used to hate on the car after it happened but then I grew to love this car. There was a GT Silver example sitting for sale in Scottsdale with a 1.6M price tag. Same car goes on Barrett Jackson auction there and sells for 1.8M. IMO the early 2000s and 2010s had the best drivers cars

    This car has aged well, good examples trading around a million dollars now in 2023. Just don't lift the throttle at high speeds.

    Truly timeless design? I think you could fool people with this video or the real thing. Honestly looks like it could be a 2025!!!

    The mounting of the shifter doesn’t look comfortable and R.I.P. Paul Walker

      the CGT i believe was designed in mind mostly for racing first, then secondly, but not harsh compromising, for road use: the shifter location enabled speedy access to help get in and go more efficiently (one hand ignition key/park brake, while other hand gets into gear after buckling seatbelt on way to the steering wheel, plus feet covering both clutch and brake) when first starting up; to add convenience for reliable steering with both hands on wheel, not to be used as a hand rest and suffer resulting premature wear; and to afford the long road trip or track session (driver endurance by minimizing/ reducing the mental and physical stress it takes to control the potential under high performance - shoulder, neck, spine, nervous system... your physical and mental well-being break down tax would be less severe)

    Before the Lexus LFA, this was the best sounding production car ever. Still, an incredible car. Shame there aren't more.

    My brother in-law should have bought the GT rather than his McLaren SLR IMHO...

    • @RedRideRVT1R
      @RedRideRVT1R ปีที่แล้ว

      the Carrera GT and SLR were in a heated battle to rep in the big 3 exotics wars of the '00s, while the Enzo was into it with the Murcielago and Zonda, along with the match between the Vette, Viper and Ford GT. each and all uniquely special in their own ways, there's no need for argument, just appreciation.

      @@RedRideRVT1R Oh yeah, all are fun! Investment wise, his SLR hasn't appreciated much, plus he hates driving it so it just sits...

      @@boyfrmnewyork damn. would be cool if took to a track day to let others experience it once in a while vs just letting it sit and not live, all things considered and formalities aside

    This car was and still is dangerous. All the journalists spun out all the Stigs and racecar drivers too. Its not right.
