that car model store's inventory must be worth millions huh? incredible 6:51 what would a big red bull f1 car like that cost in the middle? or any of the petronas f1 cars at 6:48 cost?
This CGT is chassis 1139 (and not 1255 like a lot of article said), it's guards red and was delivered new in 2006 in china, it was mostly use by Porsche until 2008 and then sold to someone else. There is some videos in 2014 of it driving next to an auto show but apparently since she is parked in the dealership due to unpaid loan, but no idea for the two others
Damn that's sad they're just sitting like that. I guess that's somethin China has similar to India. When such vehicles are seized for unpaid loans or for tryin to skirt taxes they just get imponded n quite literally left to rot instead of being placed into auction n try recovering what's owed to the banks/Govt. As petrolheads it's just painful n there's not much you can do even if you're willing to buy n get them back into working order. There's a Ferrari F12 that was sitting in a customs yard till last year when a rich n well connected enthusiast persuaded his contacts for the car to be brought to auction where he purchased it. It was delivery mileage n had somethin like 25-30km on the odometer. The previous dealership owner scammed a bunch of clientele by takin deposits n bounced to Dubai with their money n since he hadn't paid the duty on the car, it was never released from customs. But luckily it was left in the basement parking of the customs yard alongside a 964 Porsche that was also seized back in the day!

@@rahulsudhir666 That's crzay story too, but unfortunately common within car grey market. I think in this case it's a retained assets until payment and not a seized car collection. To be honest, I'm surprised the CGT wasn't stolen and shipped to America or Europe. That car holds significant value and deserves to be driven rather than deteriorating while sitting collecting dust.
lol very western way of thinking, here in the US if you steal a car you get a few years in jail and a paid lawyer, in China you steal a wealthy persons' car and you turn up dead or in jail for the rest of your life.
Yo I know the story of this car The owner was originally a car dealer in China and imported the cgt along with 3 575 superamericas and the corvette. The dealer ran his business poorly and eventually became broke and ran away with a ton of debt. The dealer didn't own the showroom (he rented the location), and the cars are under mortgage to multiple people. After the dealer ran away, the owner of the showroom locked it up, and said no one will remove any of the cars inside the showroom until the rent is paid (about couple million rmb, equivalent to over 1 million usd after all these years). If you want the cgt, you have to pay for rent, then pay back the mortgage to who knows how many people (some say the dealer borrowed money from over 10 people) with crazy rates. What makes it even worse is, the car hasn't been registered or checked for a long time. The policy is strict in China, if you miss a vehicle check for over 3 years, you can no longer register the car. Without the title you can't drive it in China legally, and you can't legally export the vehicle. So essentially after all the mess and a couple million dollars, you end up with a car with no title. Porsche China tried to rescue the car and use it as a showcar for their headquarters, didn't work out.
If Porsche can't rescue it then it sadly seems doomed. Unless someone steals the damn thing and manages to smuggle it out. Even then, what could you do with it? It's such a recognizable car.
