Personal thoughts after driving both: The rear of BMW is surely a winner. Larger, in my opinion more stylish and it has more room for passengers. The C class, on the other hand, outruns the BMW in sense of comfort, quality of the interior and overall sense of being premium. For me, the C class is the clear winner
I kinda find this comparison biased towards BMW, he didn’t talk about the mild hybrid technology, Digital Light with 650meter range, Active Brake Assist(Auto Braking) and Cross traffic detection, extra 22HP and 200NM torque from 48v battery and EQ motor, electrically adjustable headrest, tight support, and even electrically adjustable steering wheel, rear curtain in C class. Rear Seats of BMW is fixed not foldable while you get 60:40 seat fold in C Class.

@@ahimansu1 well I didn't have the time to dive into great detail of every little feature available on offer unfortunately. Mainly because I was trying to keep the video brief. Despite that it's exceeded time span and now is as lengthy as it is. These factors you've mentioned are not crucial factors to majority of the clientele that seeks to purchase these cars. Practicality matters and is what makes any car easy to live with and is what sways most buyers. A buyer looking for extra legroom would hardly ever care about if the steering wheel is adjustable or not. I mean how often does one even change their steering settings?
Who’s gonna talk about the superiority of C300d, that even outperforms the 330i and the 320d isn’t even in the same league

I just booked the 3 Series GL over the new C class. Moved from the 2015 C 200 to the new 3 Series. BMW scores big on practicality. Better rear leg room, powered tailgate open and close, rear climate zone control, one pc sunroof, better driving exp, 2.0L engine etc etc. If you're looking for Flashy then go for C class otherwise BMW is your money wisely spent.
I have a C300e PHEV with: powered tailgate open and close (and electric hat holder), rear (4 zones) climate control, motorized sunroof/sunlight blind, 2.0L petrol engine (+electric motor with total 313HP), rear air spring, and many more. The BMW only real benefit is a sportier driving experience. For those who are interested this, because I, for example, am much more interested in silence, comfort and a comfortable suspension.
All i can say after watching this video is the word Agressive has been used very very AGRESSIVELY thought out the video !

One earnest request to the TopGear people would be to know in detail about each and every feature of a particular car before reviewing that car and making a video on it. The under thigh support like you guys mentioned isn’t there in the C class, let me tell you that under thigh support is not only present but it is also fully electronically adjustable in both the front seats unlike the 3 series Gran Limousine!!
Bmw comes with Michelin pilot 4s while merc has pirelli cinturato P7 tyres in my opinion michelin 4s are waybetter than pirellis so maybe that why you getting better braking feedback on the Bmw.
Perhaps but I was primaly talking about pedal feel and not the actual braking force.

The 3GL is way more better than a c class and in the c class everything is just concentrated in the front and nothing the rear, The Space in the back Is even less than a Honda city so there's no point in getting it and you shoul compare the C300 with the M340i which is of its similar price
The M340i and the C300d are not similar in pricing at all. Secondly not every buyer in this segment likes to be chauffer driven. A lot of them prefer driving themselves.
@Gavin Rodrigues over here everyone knows that once you drive a bmw it cannot be compared to a Mercedes it is that good,so 3gl is more practical as it is way more fun to drive as you suggested and it has way more rear space than the C class,the rear seat space is even less than a Honda City in the c class
And also too add in delhi the on road price for C300 is about 75 lakh and the M340 i is just 3 to 4 lakhs plus

Not true. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class was launched just last year and the BMW 3 Series got an update right around the time we shot this video. 18 months ago we hadn't even gotten the new C-Class or 3 Series 😂

There's 64 different lighting options but I was talking about the different light combinations that you could create. Secondly the baby C-Class bit was genuinely a slip of tongue. I meant to say baby S-Class
