Each of these girls are a complete show unto themselves. Pau sits back there and grooves out, kind of dancing as she plays and you caught her little high-hat move. Some songs look like she can barely contain herself as she vibes out. I was about 10 feet in front of Ale in Baltimore and was completely captivated for a good three songs, just watching her move around her side of the stage, bobbing, heel tapping to the beat, hair flips, smiles, head banging, and she gets an angry looking little sneer once in a while when she really feels it and is singing along away from the mic, like Elvis used to curl his upper lip now and then... And of course there's Dany with those eyes and looks. [EDIT]: "Looks as in, the 'Dany face' looks she gives...
It's not necessarily that she's lazy. If any of them are running late, it's Pau with no time to do her makeup....:) I'm not sure what the problem of wearing sun glasses is? Looks pretty cool to me...:)
Pau is vibing pretty hard because she has called this her favorite breakup song, plus she's just Pau and too cool for school. Those little movements seem tied to her hi-hat pedal work, and I've noticed this before on other songs in varying degrees. I'm not a drummer, but I suppose her diminutive stature might factor into it, and one can easily see from her meaty physique that she's not used to just sitting still while playing. They are all pretty animated most of the time. This song cover was a freaking chef's kiss, and I'm glad you liked it. 🤩
Keep in mind her left foot covers a lot of territory. Double bass pedal, likely most comfortable position, then effects pedal for firing the computer you noticed that runs all the backing tracks and effects then the hi hat which she plays closed most of the time.
Love this cover. It's a really good cover of a great song. Dany puts in a great vocal performance while making it look easy (for a song that isn't easy to sing), Pau does Pau things on the drums, and Ale absolutely kills it on her bass (that tone she gets out of her bass is awesome). Honestly I wasn't expecting to see The Warning do any more covers, so this was a very welcome surprise. This is easily my favorite cover of this song I've heard, and with the number of times this song has been covered that's saying something.
Pau wearing sunlgasses: Pau does wear presciption glasses (or contacts). She might have opted for the sunglasses (because of the travel to the studio) instead of carrying both her clear lens glasses and her sunglasses. If this was done first thing in the morning, she may have been wearing them because she didn't apply makeup. Both she and Ale have done that during interviews.
Dany just keeps getting better and better. Pau rocking sunglasses indoors. Ale again proves she actually PLAYS the bass. Loved how they cleaned up the lyrics.
Oh Dave. The Warning finally played their last song on the album *"Keep Me Fed"* live in concert. They played *"Apologize"* in Toronto. There's a few fan cam videos on YT.
Just to explain the tech, the laptop next to Paulina runs the whole show...click track, backing tracks where used (not on this song), MIDI changes, video feed SMPTE codes, and the in-ear mixes...all running through Ableton Live...she triggers the starts and stops on each song with a pair of MIDI pedals on the floor...
Pau, for her it's like walking while listening to the music you like on your headphones, developing with the tranquility, calm and confidence of knowing that you are a multi-award-winning and recognized musician and with the inner peace of recognizing, being very satisfied with it, that this is not another of your moments to shine. Ale, like her sister, develops with the tranquility, which gives her the years of practicing on her bass with jazz exercises, leaving in her performance her own already known "mark" of excellence. Dany... With this Dany shows us why she's the leading vocalist of this tremendous spectacular power-trio... and period!! The band continues to evolve exponentially according to its potential in a constant, unstoppable, inescapable virtuous circle... This is The warning!! ⚡ For now I'm subscribing to your channel because I hope to see many more from you to my favorite band of all time. Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽 🤘😁✌️ .

Pau probably got up late and didn't wear her normal makeup. She may likely have been saving that annoying chore for a "pre-stage performance polishing." This is an amazing cover of a classic rock song. Pau and Dany exercise instrumental restraint in the most tasteful ways, here, then pour it on when the song demands it. Ale was trained to play rock as a jazz bassist, so she had fun with her fills on this one. I hate seeing Pau in an isolation booth, but I'm sure that was a concession to the acoustics of the small studio at Sirius XM. Playing live without an audience always comes off as a little weird, because they are so animated on stage. But what can you say about Dany other than she aptly communicated the rage and sarcasm in the lyrics? The mix is great, clean, and thoroughly balanced with all parts audible. That's getting to be a rare commodity with many bands, for some reason, but not here.
I don't believe that's Pau's kit so maybe the high hat pedal feels a little wonky to her so she's putting in a little extra lift to make sure it raises properly.
Bass lines so clean, rhythmic such a smooth run on the neck. Also regarding Pau movement to the right, hahaha I do that too as it naturally lifts my left leg off the hi hats to slightly open it.
Yeah. Pau tipping on the verse is from lifting her left leg to bark the high hat. You can see it stops when they get into to chorus. Of course, she has to add a cool little shoulder shrug at times too....:)
The shoulder drop to the ride side offsets the left foot rise to open the hi-hat. I do the same thing, it helps with my timing. My left foot is a bit of a slacker. Never mind. You got it. I should watch the whole video before commenting.
Just revisiting you after watching your MTV reaction. I'm just going to add a link here to their entire Sirius performance. I'm Sorry. I don;t mean to be mean, but this was not a good reaction. You need to listen first and not constantly interrupt the song, especially when it is building up to something. Some people just love to talk. Try playing the song first, take notes, and then go back through it and point out the issues that you think are important. Some other reactors do this and they are very good. As a musician, this drives me crazy. We do not need to hear about personal issues. This was a great song cover, and its the first time that The Warning has covered a song, as a band, since Enter Sandman. Maybe someone can find out why they decided to cover this song. Bet there is a story there. Less talking and interrupting please.
Wish we could have seen the girls playing their instruments. But hey, you got to monetize it so you could make a few bucks. I wonder why you wonder so much. A waste of 14 minutes.
PaU is starting to feel herself a lil to much , she starting to let the fame go to her head a lil . She has been a lil to cool for school attitude lately
I think she’ll get herself together… but let’s not get ahead of ourselves yapping at Pau, all we can do is make assumptions cause we don’t 100 percent know what it is with her besides being tired, they all are
Alé’s Bass lines were superb, Flea is a hard act to follow but there again someone who plays Jaco Pastorius stuff for fun in her spare time and has been doing so since she was about 10 it’s not surprising about her abilities. Pau was tired I think, their schedule this year has been brutal and having finished it only the day before probably left her absolutely drained. Pau and Alé usually wear sunglasses when they don’t feel like putting eye makeup on, so I guess that’s what it was. Dany, wow what s great performance, her singing was just so good! I think that if Alanis sees their performance she will like it and maybe even tell her so! Haha, nothing to nitpick, me neither I’ve listened to it on repeat for the last couple of days and am definitely no bored of listening to it!

Love this song. Love this cover. Nice reactions. The bass lines were phenomenal.
I deliberately stood front row right in front of Ale once to get the whole Ale experience. She's _always_ moving.
Pau has said in the past she will wear sunglasses if she is too lazy to put on makeup...
Ale also, the two of them rarely let Dani get away with it.
@@ronrestorff4548 Dany's facial expressions are legendary, never miss an opportunity to have that on display!
It's not necessarily that she's lazy. If any of them are running late, it's Pau with no time to do her makeup....:)

The original bass and guitar on the Alanis version was Flea and Dave Navarro

Flea did the bass on the original. So, yeah. And Pau wears the glasses because she's just so damn cool.
I believe original drummer was Taylor Hawkins 🥁
@@MarcoPolux Not on the studio version. That was Matt Lau. Taylor was the drummer on tour with Alanis. Dave Navarro was the studio guitarist.
I could be wrong...but the glasses are to hide the fact that they aren't wearing makeup!

Yeah. They made a point of mentioning that. Some were speculating that they were hung over, when they don't drink.
I read a comment that Pau wears sunglasses so you can't see her playing in her sleep.

That right shift Pau is doing I think is when she opens the hat for that off-beat bark during the verses. She is fun to watch.
Wonderful cover. Ale's base playing is so mesmerizing.

I don't think that's the case, her body Language is also off compared to other performances. My guess is it's fatigue

There is a nit pick if you want it. Watch Paulina going into the bridge. She does a hickup. Not sure if it was on purpose to avoid a mistake or what.
